I am very disappointed with my piercing experience at Lucky's. I am a woman with 16 different piercings and never, in my entire life, have I been handled so unprofessionally and with such disinterest to my wellbeing. My friend and I arrived at Lucky's on Free Piercing Day--excited and a little bit nervous (we were planning to get a daith and a tragus, respectively). As I climbed the stairs to meet my piercer, I was immediately nauseated by an overwhelming aroma of feces. My initial reaction was that there must be a baby with a dirty diaper in my vicinity, but alas, it was just his studio. Although the smell put me on edge, I had no plans of letting it damper my time there. The piercer on the other hand, clearly did not have the same respect in mind. He was gruff, impolite, and extremely dismissive. As a person in a position of power, and someone who I am trusting to modify my body, I appreciate knowing that they have my best interest in mind. Unfortunately, that was not the idea I got. The piercer called me into the room, where I stood awkwardly as he rushed through the safety procedures he was obligated to repeat to me. (That he was obligated to inform me was a point he made very well known) Not once did he meet my eyes or change octaves, and as if the smell wasn't making me uncomfortable enough, the monotone certainly didn't help. I have a leg ailment, so laying down is a bit uncomfortable for me. When I tried to remain seated however, he forced me to lie down. He then began swabbing my ear with such intensity I began to squirm. A curious person, I asked him how long the procedure would take and he quickly snapped that if I hadn't asked it would have already been over. I let him know beforehand that I am a little nervous about pain and I asked him if I could breath in and out a couple times before the procedure. He took my apprehension at this point as cue to shove the needle through my tragus. In shock, I quickly moved away to avoid the needle flying towards my face, unwarranted, and at incredible speed. "Great, you're bleeding everywhere. Because I just tore a needle across your face." He bellowed at me. Why he would be moving at such force is a mystery to me. He tore off his plastic gloves and slammed them on the table. I tried to reason with him. I told him I wasn't ready and that he surprised me when he cut me off and proceeded against my will. To this he replied angrily, again not meeting my eyes, "Get out! Get out of my studio! You're done!" I apologized yet again, and told him I was ready now. Begrudgingly, he completed the piercing, the entire time complaining and exuding hot coffee breathe all over my face. When it was over, he told me "You know, it really set me off when you got nervous. That never happens." I remain baffled as to how a professional body artist could have no experience or idea of how to deal with a nervous customer. I left shortly after, blood trickling from my ear, and my spirit tainted. If possible, I would leave zero stars. Do not come to this establishment unless disrespect and sadomasochism is your idea of a Sunday Funday. Read Less
