I have been coming to Visions for around 7 years now and I trust them for all of my piercing and jewelry needs. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable and makes you feel so comfortable. Easily the best place in the area. Its clean, front desk staff is friendly and welcoming, the artists (both tattoo and piercing) are kind, talented and highly knowledgeable, plus, if you ha e to wait, the couches are very comfortable and there is so much amazing art in the walls to check out. My last visit was for my septum. Instead of charging me to pierce it again, the artist took the time to check out my old spot and test to see if it was still open... turns out it was and a simple stretch is all it needed. "....without a doubt in my mind, I highly recommend Visions Tattoo & Piercing!  I chose to visit this business a result of the many positive reviews I read but, you never know until you experience an environment yourself so I decided to go!  I found that the reviews were "spot on" and I was impressed!  My particular experience was related to a recent nose piercing that wasn't healing properly and after a bit of "internet research", I discovered that I may be allergic to the jewelry and that titanium might be a good alternative.  After an initial phone chat with a very personable young lady, I found my way there (it's a bit hard to find at night even though it's right on the main road) but there is plenty of parking!  I was greeted by the same person I phone chatted with and proceeded to describe my issue.  As a walk-in, I didn't know if I could see anyone but two very nice women began to take a look at my nose and one of them began to explain about the many issues that can arise from an allergy to, as in my case, basic surgical steel.  Anyway, I chose my jewelry, a sapphire stud, and after a quick refresher course on how to put it in, I was thrilled to find that within a short period of time, the pain and discomfort began to dissipate.  BTW, the jewelry selection is as unique as it is beautiful!" *In fairness to the shop that did the original piercing, I only chose to try this new establishment because it was closer to home! She gave me a thorough consult , listened to all the things I was looking for & I wanted her suggestions. She gave me some ideas on what would look good on me. Shayna is AMAZING! I had a tattoo done today by Craig I am truly amazed it looks better than I could imagine.I meet with Craig a month ago showed him a wilderness scene that I wanted to have done. I also asked if I could add to it he said yes but it would be a few weeks to draw it up due to being very busy.He apologized over and over because he was booked I told him no problem.I went in a couple of weeks ago to see the final tattoo.I was happy what I seen Craig incorporated everything into the tattoo perfect so I gave him the o.k. to set up an appointment.I came in today excited to get my tattoo. I was greeted with some smiling faces working the front desk.The girl's welcomed me and couldn't have been more helpful.I then proceeded to get my tattoo done by Craig .Craig is easy to talk to sitting in the chair for 3 hours flew by great conversation and the The tattoo is the best one I have ever got .I would highly recommend Visions and Craig's work is top notch! Nope Nope Nope!!! I called up because 3 friends had tattoos there and they highly recommended them. I wanted to make an appointment for myself and my son who is in the military. They told me that I would need to give a deposit and then come in for a consult, back for the design approval, and back again for the tattoos. My son was only going to be on leave for 2 weeks and he gave me permission to approve the design since I know exactly what he wants. They refused to work with us on that and said he needs to give the money, sign the paperwork and approve his own design. Okay...fine. When I asked if they were sure that 2 weeks was going to be enough time to make all three appointments they said they could not make any promises! So I am supposed to fork over $100 and MAYBE he'll get a tattoo? Then to top it off she refused to let me have the artist I wanted. She said that the woman I wanted was not available until 2018. I said fine...I'll wait. She said no that is not how it works. I tell them what I want and then they choose the best artist. I asked for 3 completely different things. Celtic, Animation, and Asian inspired. She said the two artists I requested don't do those (even though I could see that they did on their portfolio). She suggested the same guy for all three! Did I just fall off the Turnip Truck? Clearly he had the most openings and they were trying to fill his schedule. I definitely did not get good feelings. I called 2 other places that were recommended and they were both willing to work with me. One even offered a discount because my son is serving our country. What a difference. I think this place has gotten too big for it's own good. So glad I chose somewhere else!!! I am SO happy with the results! God only knows what I would have gotten and if my son would have lost $100. Angie has done my eyebrow and micro dermal and they came out amazing and made it really comfortable. I got my helix done at another place and they used such a small ring it was slicing my earlobe. I called Visions and they got me in the next day. Angie got it out and salvaged the piercing. Hasn't even been 12 hours and my ear already feels better! I went in for a consult with Anthony a few weeks ago. I had a some ideas of what I wanted and he used his knowledge and artistic abilities to help me pin point exactly what I wanted and what would look good. I agree with the other people who said that they do not want to tattoo people who are not young and hip or who want only small tattoos. The artist we tried to work with was awful. The girls at the front desk are absolutely amazing. They are genuine, comforting and sweet and when I was nervous about one of my tattoos one girl talked me down (which she didn't have to do at all!) Angela has always done a great job piercing me and giving excellent advice and customer service to anyone who needs it. Every artist there is extremely talented and friendly. I've gotten most of my tattoos there and every major piercing done there and I would be hard pressed to go anywhere else. The cleanliness of the shop can't be beat, I think everything is priced fairly. i have been to vision tattoos in the past and my experience was great. customer service was great everyone from the receptionist to the artist helped me along to be sure i got the tattoo i wanted. Since i was so happy with this my husband bought me a gift card to get another one. i got there and talked with the girl working in reception and she was fine at first, but after about 5 minutes she came out to me and said she had scheduled me for a week that had already passed and i could not meet with the tattoo artist due to a client already being there. i was shown a tattoo on the board and it was too big for the area i wanted it in. i was told that the artist didn't think i was a good fit due to the size i wanted and it not being at a larger scale. i looked at another artists work and it wasn't what i wanted. as i was going over this another girl rudely chimed in and said if the size of the tattoo on the board was too big then maybe visions wasn't a good fit for me. i asked what i could do about my gift card and they told be it was good for 7 years and i could use it to purchase merchandise. F*** that. i wouldn't advertise anything for them after being treated like i don't belong and they had no intention of trying to help me or make it right in any way. no professional way to treat anybody. I went to get my navel pierced and drove almost an hour out of my way to come here. Once I was here they told me I had an unpiercable navel and if I had it pierced my body would reject it. I had already previously asked my friend who pierces for a living if my navel was piercable and she had told me it was. So I ended up going to Red's Tattoos and Piercings in Providence Rhode Island. The guy there told me my navel was totally piercable and did it for me. It's been almost 4 months and i have yet to see any sign of rejection. Was here yesterday and got a beautiful triple forward helix piercing. Angie was my piercer and did a awesome job. Did not hurt as much as I expected and it doesn't hurt today. I'm disappointed to write this review as I had high hopes for an awesome tattoo.  Let me state for the record that I have no doubt that the artists at Visions DO provide great tattoos.  That being said, it seems as though unless you meet a certain criteria, you won't be one to benefit from their talent. I called Visions based on a recommendation.  Unfortunately, the artist I requested will now only do large pieces. Ummmm, okay. I was placed with another artist and went for my consultation.  I didn't leave with the best feeling of what would be produced as he didn't seem to 'get it' but still maintained hope.  After a couple weeks, I hadn't heard back so I contacted the shop and THEN got a call to come by for approving the drawing.  It was MUCH larger than I wanted or was comfortable with so I rescheduled my appointment and asked for the sketch to be altered.  I went back a 2nd time for approval and it wasn't any smaller at all. I told the artist that if he was unable to make changes that would decrease the size, I'd like to work on a different design that COULD be smaller.  His reply was that he would do another but it would be the same size and he would use the same sketch he'd already done and go from there, disregarding the new sketch I provided him with to base it upon.  Any suggestion I gave was shot down (bear in mind I have years of art experience under my belt).  I was finally told to go home and decide if I was willing to do the larger size or not.  To say I was angry and upset when I left is an understatement.Oh a whim, I stopped at another tattoo shop on my way home where 2 friends recently had work done.  Within minutes, I was told my ideas were 100% possible with the tweaks I was the one who suggested at Visions!  The same suggestions that were repeatedly shot down (alter the line work, use of a smaller needle, etc).  I was also able to have the sketches emailed to me until it met my approval (Visions would only allow me to see my ideas in person, even after I gave my $100 deposit, NOT ideal when you don't live nearby).  Imagine my happiness with an artists willing to work with ME and adjust the work to MY desire!A week later (and almost $200 less than Visions quoted me), I have a tattoo that is exactly what I wanted AND got my previous tattoo retouched, something Visions was going to charge an additional appt to do.  A previous review stated that they appear to not want to tattoo people who don't want large scale pieces or are as 'young and hip' as they'd prefer.  Maybe that is why the difficulty in the artist's willingness to work with me or his refusal to do a smaller piece (His quote, "Only collectors want those tiny tattoos.).  Regardless, it was a disappointing experience and I will NOT recommend this place to others.  It cost me $100 for nothing but I am SO grateful I didn't go through with something someone else wanted, not me. I got both my nose and nipples pierced here, on separate occasions. I love my nose piercing, but there were complications with my nipple piercings that could have been avoided. I had the one that eventually got infected for about a year before I had to take it out. It was pierced deeper than my other one and I had complications with it since I first got it done, while my other nipple piercing was completely fine. It was upsetting because I paid around $150 to get it done whereas I discovered many other reputable places that would do both of them for half the price.
