This was my first time ever going to a shop to get a piercing so you could say I was nervous especially since I was getting three outer conch piercings at the same time. I do not regret coming to Paper City Tattoo as my first time going to a shop because the experience was absolutely amazing from beginning to end. As I walked through the doors my nerves we're eating away at me but as I was greeted and introduced to such a friendly and good environment I quickly got more relaxed. The people are incredibly funny and dedicated to their work. The piercer Stephan walked me through the whole process and explained to be what I was getting my self into. He went step by step making sure I was comfortable and knew what he was doing at all times, explaining to me how this would go and how I would feel. Everything was very clean and organized, with amazing prices, and they all knew what to do and how to do it. We went through the process and I came out of the shop extremely satisfied and happy with my piercings. All in all the shop is amazing the people working there are dedicated and educated in their work ready to satisfy the customer at all cost. The piercer Stephan is absolutely amazing and if you are or want to get a piercing I most definitely recommend going to him and Paper City Tattoo. Loved this place! I went to Jamie for my very first tattoo and I ended up getting 3. He made me feel so comfortable and even showed me the needles in the package before he set up. Honestly the best place to go in the western Mass area. Jamie is amazing!! The customer service there is A+ and you can tell they really care about the customers. I can’t remember who did my friend’s piercing but he talked her through the piercing and made her as comfortable as she could be. Both are very professional and very fun people. The staff is so friendly. Steve greeted me right away when I entered. this being my first facial piercing I was a little nervous but he reassured me and told me how it wouldn't hurt that bad and it really didn't. I walked in, never heard anything about the place because I don't live in Massachusetts. Instantly vibed with Nick while discussing a tattoo I needed (yes tattoos are needed!) he did a great job on it. When it came time for a very very personal memorial tattoo he drew me a one of a kind beautiful piece! I never had a tattoo guy, just went here or there when I felt the need...but I think I found my place here at Paper City! I'm not a tattoo person, but I had an unfortunate old tattoo that needed to be covered. I wasn't too picky. I told Jay that I like flowers and Jesus and on the day of my appointment he showed me what he came up with. I was really really happy with it. Jay put up with me like a true professional, and it was so appreciated. The other tattoo artist insisted a whined "like a puppy". Not sure I'd ever go to him for that reason, but Jay was great and if I ever wanted a tattoo again (I dont), Id go to him for sure. I live up the street from the shop and had wanted a tattoo for a long time so I chose this place having known nothing about them. It was my first tattoo and was rightfully nervous about what to expect. I made an appointment with Nick and was really impressed. The shop is really clean, the staff really friendly and safe, and Nick was willing to answer my million questions. The tattoo was quick and painless. Nick does have a gentle tattoo stroke and customized my tattoo just like I wanted. I'm sure it was very simple for him, but very important to me as it was in honor of my wife and our wedding day. I just cleaned my wife's ink for her after being tattooed by Nick. Not a single drop of ink came off as I dried it. The lines were nice and crisp and clean. The color was set perfectly. I'm looking forward to working with him in the future. I myself have been inked by Jamie a few times for very meaningful pieces. He brought every aspect of my ideas to life. I came to Paper City Tattoo last month for the first time to get a lip ring. Everyone was super professional and I was advised not to get a hoop, which I couldn't be more grateful for because if I had it would have been in excruciating until it healed. Today, I went back to get several tattoos touched up and Nick was awesome. Even though I was getting stuff covered up, I wasn't made to feel bad about what I was covering up, and he did an excellent job! It's a super laid back... environment and everyone seems to have a good time there, including the customers. I have traditionally gone to Providence since the 90s for my piercings and tats but now I won't be going anywhere else. It's super easy to get to and one minute off 91. I love the atmosphere of this place, it was clean and updated. The staff was so welcoming and answered all my questions with ease since it was my first ever tattoo.The staff also told me exactly how to take care of my tattoo, and showed me the clean appliances and made sure I was 100% happy with my results. I had gotten a nose piercing at Paper City, and I am very pleased with the service I received. Stephen is very professional. He explained everything step by step before doing my piercing. Found this shop by accident and I'm so glad that I did! I was searching for an artist to do a coverup while I'm still in the area and my usual guy here was booked. Usually, I'm weary of Google Searches and Yelp Reviews, etc, but really wanting the memory gone, I rang the shop. They told me to come in so they could take a look at what I wanted/needed done and so they could give an accurate price/estimate. Went in the next day as soon as they opened and was greeted by a lovely chap named Nick. I was wanting blackwork on my knuckles and hands to cover up horrible memories and he gave me the options. And I told him that I was settled on blackwork as I knew it was the only thing that would cover up the date and lettering on my hand/fingers and we started out! He explained how it might heal a little differently, since its a hand and all the movement etc and just gave broad stokes since I know the procedure and healing and everything. He did an amazing job doing the solid blackwork, getting in all the crevices, taking his time, but not being a rip off artist like you get these days. I can't wait to go back and have Nick do some other work on me. He's friendly, professional and easy to talk to. We got on spiffingly. The shop is IMMACULATE. The owner, I think who's name is Jamie is a right laugh and a good guy. The shop has a great vibe, the artists are friendly and the whole place is very welcoming. I will be back here for more work. What can I say? HANDS DOWN the place to get inked! Very clean. Very professional. Staff was absolutely the nicest and eased my nerves. I discovered more information about tattoos and where to have one placed, best size, best color, best style - so much! I had NO IDEA what sort of design to choose. This was on my "bucket list" so they offered suggestions based on questions they asked about me and how I define myself. This custom gecko, curved and crawling up inside of my ankle is brilliant in color. His body is twisted to contain the first letters of both my sons names - and it is SPECTACULAR! Was a bit nervous about getting a tattoo at my age, but Jamie, the owner, was great with me. He explained everything he was going to do and showed me the sterile instruments he would use. Everything went smoothly. Jamie was great and wouldn't let me get up until I felt ok. The whole experience was fantastic. The shop was clean. I even liked the music!! The other employees seemed very professional and were great with their clients. I was impressed with the whole setup. I got some work done by Jamie at Holyoke Tattoo a few weeks ago and this place is as good as it gets. Jamie and the rest of the staff were courteous and helpful when it came to the design of the tattoo that I was looking for and the finished product is amazing. VERY untrustworthy!  Paid upfront for a tattoo that he (Jamie) could not finish that day and he has been avoiding/ignoring me to finish it.   it has been MONTHS and he has not returned any of my calls or messages.  I am completely upset with what he has done so far and have asked another artist to fix this botch job!!BEWARE!!EDIT:The owner Jamie has commented below and is a complete fabrication.  In fact, he was boasting about being the new owner while he was starting my arm piece.  Also, the fact that he would publicly  bash a previous owner just proves my point of the unprofessional conduct by the owner of this establishment. Me and My husband came in over the past weekend to get some work done, gotta say I was impressed. The shop was clean ,not sure where the previous comment came in about the environment but anyways. The staff was friendly and listened to what we wanted and got to work. Keith brought us straight in and started our tats off by free handing them.
