I got a wing on my back done here. Unfortunately I don't remember the artist's name. But he did it exactly as I wanted and did it extremely well. It healed amazingly and he did the whole thing in 45 min. Not that he rushed, he was just good at his job. He was super nice to me and kept assuring me that it looked awesome. When he showed me in the mirror he and the other artist who were there kept saying how great it looked and how I picked a cool design. I am now a loyal customer of Pygmalions. I was searching for an artist to do a special, challenging cover up piece. after meeting an extremely talented young woman named "Drae," I was instantly drawn to her for my transformation. Not only is Pygmalions tattoo shop clean and friendly, it is staffed by the most interesting, knowledgeable, and talented professional artists I've had the pleasure to meet. Drae had her work cut out for her, as I needed not one, but two, old, upper bicep tattoos covered. I had an idea for botanical, water color-oil painting looking poppies. She accepted the challenge with grace and eyebrow raising skill. She actually was able to draw "free hand" with special markers on my skin, then sketch them in with her machine. The shapes of the leaves flow and compliment the curves of my body so well. The colors are amazing, and the composition very eye catching.  Her natural artistic talent and knowledge for this kind of work is really amazing. I get so many compliments on her work and it's not even finished yet. I have felt embarrassed with my old, poorly done tattoos for years. I got them done when I was a kid, so they were impulse horrors and not thought out at all. I never wore sleeveless tops because I was ashamed of them.   I can't wait to go back for another sit in her chair, because when I leave, I am always thrilled with the new treasures I get to show off to the world! I have since bought a bunch of tank tops so my gorgeous new poppies can be enjoyed by all. I feel renewed and beautiful in my own skin now, and to me, that's worth every dime. i love this place, i got my first tattoo there last night. the shop was clean, everyone said hello to me and my husband, they got right to work, my husband got a tatto from Ben that is amazing. i got a tattoo from Jeremy that iam over the moon about.. i love the fact Jeremy really listened to me about what i wanted for my tattoo. he talked me threw the whole process of the tattoo. any concerns i had we talked about them. he was funny. he was helpful. the tattoo came out amazing. better then i had thought it would. i defiantly will be going back to get another tattoo done. My husband and I both got tattoos done by Ben last week and we both had a great experience with him and at this studio. We first met with him and then proceeded to meet with a few other artists at other studios just to be sure we found the right one. We both agreed that there was something we both really liked about him, so we scheduled appointments. Not only was he a great artist but he was one of the nicest guys I have ever met. He was very calming and reassuring which was important to me because I was a little nervous and had had a bad experience previously at another studio. While we were there we had a chance to see some of Drae's work too. She truly is an amazing tattoo artist and it was clear how important getting it perfect was for her. After my mom passed this weekend my sister and I wanted something special ad a symbol of our life with such an amazing women. After calls to another place I was told about Drae! I have had two tattoos by Ben. I had my first one done at another shop that has since closed down. I went in unsure if I was going to get my tattoo there, and I left having made an appointment and put down a deposit. Ben was very accommodating, friendly, calm, knowledgeable, and seemed like a really good guy. When I had my tattoo appointment I had to wait around for a while, but it wasn't a big deal. He put a lot of effort into making sure everything was perfect for me and really showed a genuine excitement for my tattoos, which was the complete opposite of my previous artist. My previous artist was easily distracted and she was also kind of rude, but Ben and I conversated throughout the whole process and we got along great. The other tattoo artist, Jeremy, was also there and I got to see some of his work, both in the books and on someone who had just gotten his tattoo done by him. Though there is also piercing at Pygmalion's, I've only worked with tattoo artist Jeremy McIntosh. I'm very loyal to Jeremy McIntosh's work. I've had about sixty hours of work done at Pygmalion's Tattoo by Jeremy over the years. Though he's very adept in a variety of artistic styles, I am particularly fond of his tattoos that are in a vintage comicbook style, which draws from his vast body of superhero knowledge and media resources. Most of the ink he's laid into me is in this style, and it draws admiring looks and compliments all the time. I am nowhere near good at drawing, and there have been several occasions when I've come into the shop with a very badly-rendered idea and Jeremy takes it away for an hour and comes back with something gorgeous that he's drawn up. Jeremy will always tell me the truth about how to get the best results, regarding size, placement, colors, and composition of whatever tattoo idea I've conceived of. He's saved me a lot of unfortunate ideas over the years! The shop is immaculate, with a lot of fun things to look at, and there's always good music playing and a comfortable waiting area. Another plus is that Jeremy is very thorough with his aftercare instructions. The shop is up a flight of stairs, directly over the best pizza place in Greenfield.Jeremy is a talented tattoo artist and is very pleasant to work with. You do not have to be like Chuck Norris and eat pain for breakfast; Jeremy understands that the tattooing process is a labor of love for both the artist and recipient. He takes his time, and he is a perfectionist, which are two qualities I appreciate regarding something that I will wear embedded in my flesh for life.
