I finally had enough courage to get my first tattoo. Once I realized what I wanted, I started my search to find the right tattoo artist for me. Caleb's an artist who does tattoos. During our first round of conversation, I loved how excited Caleb became about doing my tattoo. His excitement made me feel at ease because it proved to me that he takes pride in his work. My friend and I decided to both get our tattoos done on the same appointment, which Caleb was more than accom...modating to. On the actual tattoo day, Caleb and the entire team at Ink Clinic was great. This was my first time in a tattoo parlor, and I was extremely impressed on how clean the place was. Caleb had two sketches ready for me upon my arrival. I liked how he gave his opinion on which one he thought would look better, but didn't force his opinion on me. Once in Caleb's actual tattoo room, you can see how creative this guy really is. He has his art work (tattoos, prints, and paintings) displaced around his room. This being my first tattoo, Caleb went through all the steps for the pre-tattoo process: I saw the new needle come out of the package; I saw him use several pairs of gloves; and the entire space was super clean! Caleb made it a point to tell my friend and I that if we didn't like where the stencil was placed, he would move it as many times as it would take to get it in the exact spot we wanted our tattoos. Caleb was great at communicating on what he was going to do, and what needles he was going to use to get the right texture I was looking for. He even showed me what colors he was going to use and how he was going to mix a few to get the exact color I was looking for. When it was time to go "under the gun", I'm not going to lie, it hurt. I got my tattoo on my inner left bicep, which is supposed to hurt more than say the outside of the bicep. My tattoo isn't that big, probably 3" x 3" so it only took about an hour to finish. Once completed, Caleb put some ointment on it and wrapped it. Since I went with a friend, I was able to then watch him work on my friend. Her placement took longer than mine. Caleb never once got annoyed about having to place the stencil several times. Her tattoo was small and took about half the time it took for mine. Once completed, Caleb then went through the aftercare our new tattoos would need. He didn't overwhelm us with knowledge but told us the process in which the tattoos would heal and what to expect, while telling us what we were expected to do to care for them. All in all, I don't know how this experience could have gone better. Caleb is so talented. He's also so damn nice, and most importantly, takes pride in his work. Without any hesitation, I would highly recommend anyone who's looking to get a tattoo to look into Ink Clinic. See More Read Less
