Not only did My artist Vinny incorporate the new ink to blend in with my old one, he listened to understand what I wanted. He made my other tattoos work around his tattoos. I went to Vinny the same day I called for a consultation (literally the minute after I got off the phone). I showed him a few photos of my dog and I told him the one I really loved. He was able to set up an appointment within the week. Once I got there he quickly set up my photo and told me his idea of setting up a contrast between an anime styled face next to my realistic dog. Once he finished the linework (while rubbing in cocoa butter), he sprayed numbing spray before tattooing the white linework. Definitely helped with the pain!  The tattoo was done within two hours. So I'm new to tattoos and such but was deciding on getting one in the past year. Was looking for someone who could do some neat Japanese work around the area. I heard about Holistic Ink from some friends and seeing some of their tattoos, I started to become interested in their work. Here I came across some work of Vinny's and together with some work I found online.. he was able to incorporate his techniques and build off of that to make something even more incredible! I got my first tattoo here at Holistic Ink! It came out just as I imagined, maybe even better! As an artist myself, I'm very picky and indecisive when it comes to coming up with a design so I left it all up to my tattoo artist, Billy Le, and he was fantastic! I just gave him a general idea and a few photo references and he was able to find inspiration and free-styled a beautiful, one of a kind piece of art of a Koi fish entangled in cherry blossoms like I wanted. I absolutely LOVE the clean crisp lines and the vibrant colors. They are also super attentive with aftercare too. Got both my full sleeve and half sleeve done by Vinny. This dude is legit. His Japanese-style tattoos are the best I've seen in the Boston area. Vinny's speed is unmatched and still keeps every little detail while he tattoos, a true professional at work. My first tattoo was my full koi sleeve and was totally done free-hand and came out amazing. My second tattoo was my half sleeve and Vinny was creative enough to make the idea I had in mind work so perfectly. Highly professional. My sister’s tattoo came out better than we even imagined. Vinny taught us how to take care of the tattoo afterwards too, which was very helpful. Got a piece done by Vinny. I had 2 tattos on my arm that I wanted connected into a sort of sleeve that would make the whole thing blend. I came with the idea of what I wanted it to include and let him run with it. He made it look better than I had thought out myself. Few of my friends highly suggested I go to Holistic and find Billy to do my coverup. I had previously set an appointment with another artist at another tattoo shop that I usually go to. Seeing as this was a coverup, I wanted it to be perfect. So I decided to cancel the previous appointment and go with Billy. I definitely do not regret going with Billy to do my coverup. He was able to make an appointment with me right away, the other place was making me wait a month and half for my appointment. Billy's lines are much cleaner than other people I've went to. This is the best shop in Massachusetts. It's also my favorite. There are others of course that exemplify great service with talented artist. But I've never had a tattoo done more close to perfection than by Vinny. He's extremely talented and serious about his craft. He's also very honest and great with prices.
