After checking out many studios in the Westminster area, I stumbled upon Tattoo Rock Star. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by Gina and Ted (Gina's dog). After explaining what I wanted, she immediately got to work with ideas. I was hesitant after a previous studio botched a tattoo but held all my faith in Tattoo Rock Star. Instead of using a stencil like most artists, Gina did everything free hand which was very impressive. Gina not only fixed my half sleeve but made it better than I could have ever imagined. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience here! It's my first tattoo, so I was a bit nervous. Gina's chairside manner is warm, engaging, and disarming. Plus her sweet little dog Teddy immediately curled up on my lap to take a nap. Needless to say, my anxiety dissipated about 10 seconds into the process. Gina is conscientious about her work. She takes her time and gives her full attention to all the details, big and small. She graciously answers all of your questions, no matter how foolish you think they may be. I traveled from NYC to get a tattoo from her. I have a dear friend who lives in the area who highly recommended her when I expressed an interest in getting a tattoo. I scheduled an appointment with Gina during my next visit with my friend, and I was not disappointed. I expected good work, because Gina came highly recommended, and she had some great reviews online. But I did not expect this. She far exceeded my expectations! This place is awesome. She does not rip you off or charge by the hour. She was talkative which kept 4 hours not so boring and still did a great job. I'm so happy that I am going back to get my other arm done. Not the cheapest but also not the most expensive. She is honest and will add more detail if I didn't like. Read Less

My experience was awesome. I had wanted a small tattoo for several months, so I started looking online at the reviews of some local shops. Tattoo Rock Star was one I came across and the reviews were great (both about the artwork and the overall experience), the pictures showed a clean shop, and the location was ideal so I figured I would try it out. I was in the area and decided to just do a drive by and see if Gina had time for a walk in... I was bummed to see they were closed (it was a holiday for many businesses (day afer New Years). Once I got home I decided to call the shop, and figured I would leave a message asking for a call back so I could set an appointment. I was surprised when Gina answered the phone. She asked what I was looking for and then offered to open the shop if I wanted it done right away, since she "wasnt really doing anything anyway" on her day off. I was super appreciative and took her up on the offer. She listened to what I was looking for and made adjustments several times until I was completely happy with how it looked. The environment was very chill and she even had her small dog, Ted, sit on my lap while getting my work done. Having Ted on my lap to pet made the experience that much more relaxing. Gina was so much fun to hang out with tonight. I wasn't getting a tat tonight but was with my friend who was. She said after we left that it didn't even hurt at all!
