If you live in the Southern Maryland area, this is should be your go-to place to get inked. The shop is clean and all the artists are passionate about what they do. I have been going here since 2009 and have had nothing but the best experiences. The staff is friendly and the tattoos are CLEAN. This shop was absolutely amazing. Brett is one hell of an artist. I gave home just a few pictures of what I wanted my tattoo to look like and he ran with it. I couldn't be happier with the way mine turned out. After almost 6 years since my last bit of ink, Brett worked with me. We took a short break here and there. After 2 sessions, first one being 3 hours and last one being one hour, my tattoo is complete. People were complementing the work after the first session. I can't wait to show it off now. I cannot say enough good things about King of the Bay, especially Bridgett! Her artwork, creativity and tattooing are superb! She spent about 20 minutes discussing what my vision was and a long 2.5 months later (definitely worth the wait) I have the most beautiful tattoo! We didn't even get a tattoo here! I look for places that have a good environment with good people. Right away we got a bad vibe from one of the artists. Your looked at as if your just somebody who they don't give a shit if you walked in or not! Do not give these people business  they do not deserve it! I am military and would have been a long time customer. We came to check out environment and my 4 year old and 2 year old were there. The artist came out of the back for a second and saw my kids and said we had to get out. And said it so rudely my wife did not want to spend money there. Now I understand if kids aren't allowed in there but there was no sign and the lady at the front desk did not tell us that from the start. But our intention was not to get tattooed that day , so we weren't staying long anyway. He just came off as such an asshole that I would not give that asshole a dime of my money to do anything on my body or my wife's. In fact I will tell all military not to come to this place! Got my navel pierced here - cool company, clean, quick, and painless. Definitely worth the price, which was a lot cheaper (by roughly $20) compared to other shops. Took longer to complete the paperwork than to actually get the piercing, if that says anything. The shop atmosphere had nice vibes, too. Their artwork is beautiful. Read Less
