I just love the owner Cathy!  She is sweet and she really knows her stuff regarding tattoos and piercings.  She is reasonably priced and she isn't trying to take you for all your money.  I am in the process of getting a mid sleeve done and the tattoo artist did exactly what I wanted.  It is going to take two to three visits but it is worth the time. I came with my mother and my brother to check this place out, because I wanted to get a belly piercing. There was an Asian lady (didn’t get her name) at the front desk who was extremely rude. She thought I wasn’t 18, so I showed her my ID and introduced her to my mother, yet she was still dismissive, despite the fact she ran my ID through the system and it cleared. I previously had gotten my cartilage piercing here. My nose piercing closed and  I decided to go to them again. Kathy did both. SHES THE BEST!! i walked in with no photos-i only drew it and described it and with no help from me the artist did a great job.and he didn't know that i wanted two when i first came in but he easily obliged when i asked.the second was actually fixing a old one and he did a flawless job better than when i first got it and better than what i've hoped for-i wish that i could remember his name and recommend him because he was very good! maybe it was a little overpriced because they were small but i'm a young woman with no uncovered tattoos and i usually get high prices in the united states.it was definitely worth it though!so it's still a good dealoh and the artist was very knowledgable.i asked for nonblack color and he warned me that it is not as good as black.even though he knew that it wasn't as good the artist here does what customers ask for-it was a very  professional response.everybody working there is very professional and accommodating and just great at what they do.baby blue tattoo's a very good deal with outstanding people. My sister in law sent me a photo of her friend's tatoo that was done last week and I absolutely love it! I decided to call this place and visit it in person. Luckily I met one of the artists T.K. that was super friendly T.K. was very professional and personable and wanted to make sure I was happy with my tattoos. He drew up the tattoo and made changes according to my wants.He gave me great ideas about the details to make it look delicate and beautiful and the results were better than what I expected. He tolerated my whining, moaning, humming and hissing to get through it (I know it's not a big tattoo but I'm a self professed drama queen. Yaay T.K!I would recommend T.K. and this shop to anyone. I've been going to baby blue for over 20 years now and never encountered a bad experience or a bad tattoo. It's this new guy, his name is TK he's the bomb, I just recently got a 1/2 of a half sleeve on my left arm, his art work is nice and I'm very satisfied. Was recommended by a family friend from my church to get a Tattoo here. I went and spoke with a guy name John. We personally talked about my tattoo and what i wanted. He worked with me really well. We spoke for about 10 minutes and in about a half an hour to 45 mins later, he drew a custom piece for me. It was perfect and the price was awesome. The finished piece was AMAZING! I came here a couple years ago with my best friend to get matching tattoos for our birthdays. This was tattoo #2 for me and it came out very nicely. Studio area was clean. The environment was nice with music playing. Cathy seem to run things and did her own thing. The gentlemen were cool. We even watched some girls get pieces done and they did really good jobs. I wish I could remember the guys name who did our tatts, I believe it started with a C. The placement for our tatts were on our sides so they were painful, but worth it! From the outside I thought well, this isn't the nicest of places. But upon entering, I was surprised, it was clean and the people were friendly. A lot of places were super pricey and I didn't have too much money on me, but they let me take 10 dollars off. Everything was sterile, and even though the location of my tattoo was difficult, (said a couple of places), this guy did a great job! I went to baby blue this past summer to get some arabic lettering on my ribs...every other shop i had inquired about estimated my price to be about $100-$150...i read about baby blue on yelp and thought all the good reviews seemed too good to be true.....i stopped in one day and spoke to Jon...he gave me an estimate of $80!....feeling slightly skeptical i checked a few more places but ended up coming back for that more than perfect price....not to mention i had heard nothing but good things about Jons work.....well they were right...Jon was great! ....my rib tattoo (which i was told would be excrutiating) actually tickled and he was finished in about 12 minutes.....im a small girl so i was very concerned with getting an artist with steady hands and neat lettering....but its PERFECT.......i LOVE my tattoo...its now my favorite...i plan to go back to see jon again this week for my next one :)  i would definitley recommend them...and i often do.... thanks BABY BLUE!! So I've had an idea for a tattoo since last year, but the thing with me is that I only get 1 tattoo every birthday, I guess to pace myself and to add a little more meaning for me being patient.  Anyway, I went to a place in Frederick with my sketch and it's just a bunch of chinese characters.  I had 2 big ones and 6 smaller ones.  The large ones were about 12"x12" with the smaller ones being about half the size and was going to go on my neck.  This place in Frederick told me that it was impossible to get the smaller characters on my neck due to the ink bleeding into each other, thus wouldn't be able to show each stroke of the characters clearly.  With that, I just had them do my 2 big ones.My friend then told me to goto Baby Blue Tattoo.  I thought that because this shop in Frederick told me it wasn't possible to get done what I wanted, that no tattoo parlor would be able to help me.  Man, was I wrong.  My friend referred me to Jon and all I have to say is THIS  GUY IS A BEAST!  I told him that the other shop said that it wasn't possible, but he looked at my design and said that it's definitely possible, but that he just had to make the characters a little bit bigger, NOT MUCH though, talking about a 3-5% size increase I'd say.  He took my design, placed it where it needed to go and an hour later my vision was on me.   What was once "impossible" was now a reality.  The shop in Frederick has 6 years of experience on top of Jon at Baby Blue, so that's telling me that Jon's just got the technique to pull off what others with years more experience can't.  This is the ONLY place I'm ever going to ever again. The artist John is amazing. He did a butterfly for me and the lines were flawless and so is the color. Also he gives me directions to take care of the tattoo , he gives me ointment with vitamins and he even gives you after care instruction. Went here to get my tongue pierced. They took me right back, she did eveything very hygenicially, even though it was a little crowded, but the area that I got pierced in was curtained off, just me and her. She was quick and very little pain. She gave me after care instructions, mouth wash and sea salt spray. The only problem was that the after care instructions weren't specific to a tongue piercing, so I had to do some research on the internet later. She even gave me a free rhinestone tongue ring to replace the original one once the swelling went down. My tongue never really swelled and pain was minimal. It was a good experience. Only other draw back is there is little to no parking on a weekend, so you have to park in the 7-11 lot and it's kind of grimy. Read Less
