I live in DC and make the drive to Vape Ink for several reasons: their inventory is incomparable to the majority of shops in the DMV (re: MD/DC/VA).  Moreover, every staff member is knowledgeable on everything from mods, pens, salt vapes, et al.  I don't buy my gear or juice online for good reasons. But I believe that only because  met Logan and the crew early on in my vaping career.  They know their stuff, never hesitate to educate you both respectfully & patiently.  Up-selling is so not their thing. Friendliest and most welcoming staff whenever I visit. This is the only spot that my cousins and I get our juice from for our vapes. They have wide selection of juice flavors on any spectrum level of fruity and savory. All the guys who work the counter are very knowledgeable about the different vape machines and tanks. They have great suggestions of what juices I would like based on my preference and what I currently have in my tank.The tattoo side of the shop is also amazing. Johnny is a talented artist and very patient when designing my tattoos and hearing what I want. He has great eye for creativity and will definitely give his honest feedback on where the placement of the tattoo is and how it would appear on the body when you leave the shop. My favorite vape shop on the east coast! I'm always greeted when I walk in the door, by my name! They have 100's of juices to choose from! All the employees really know they're stuff! Anything I ask they know or will find out... There is a couple comfortable sofas in front of a large TV that you can relaxed in or build coils etc...  The back half of the shop is a tattoo area with two great artists! Sounded like a great idea, heads up it was.  I love to vape, I love tattoos so hey, why not get a tattoo and vape at the same time. When I was 15 years old I got my first tattoo, it was of a snapping turtle.  The reason I chose a snapping turtle is because when I was 6 I was skinny dipping in the quarry with my cousin and a snapping turtle bit off 3/4 of my left testicle.  And I guarantee I was puffing on a cigarette when I got that tattoo.  Let me tell you, getting a tattoo and puffing on a vaporizer gave me some serious dejavu.  This time I got "VAPER FOR LIFE" across my chest.Overall the tattoo I got this time was fantastic, I love it and the next tattoo I get I will be sure to come back here. This is a tribute to one of the finest inksmen, Johnny Le. I met Johnny long ago before vape ink as a family friend. Being young with less responsibilities, I came to Johnny wanting a badge that would represent my nature and engrave it on my skin. He sketched it out and It was love at first sight from there. 4 six hour sessions later from outline to shading, Johnny stuck with me through it all. 10 years later, I'm still grateful Johnny's work of art is still fresh as the first day it hit the flesh. The staff is super friendly but after coming in three times expecting to get my cartilage pierced, and failing to get it done because jimmy refuses to show up to work, I won't be back here. Nothing against the staff who know about vape though. This will be my SECOND review since you deleted my first one. I came in today to get my medusa pierced and the piercer did an awful job. Not only did he pierce my lip once BUT TWICE which is totally unacceptable. I have two holes in my lip. And no piercing to show for it. The best part about this place is that it smells good. I recently had an appointment to replace the nose ring that I had because it had fallen out. When I got there the spanish guy ( i dont remember the piercers name) didnt even take his time to custom bend the "L" shaped ring, instead he proceeded to jamming the ring into my nose. This pain was far worst then the initial piercing that i had gotten 2 months ago and not to mention he made the hole itself bigger so now my stud keeps falling inside the hole. I woke up this morning so frustrated because i thought my nosing had fallen out again only to find out that it really had just fallen into my nose itself. I dont recommend anybody going here for anything I went thinking it was going to be a simple process only to find out they made matters worse, not to mention they have no privacy for patrons. I went in to get my nipples pierced and jimmy was so nice. He talked to me about the pain level I'd be facing, what size jewelry would look best and not bulky and just made it as much of an uncomfortable experience as possible. Date of visit: April 19, 2017.I went in on my birthday for a septum piercing and my first impression of the shop was that out smelled really nice, mostly likely due too the vape flavors, and that it was extremely clean. The store is beautiful, tidy, and comfortable. My friend and I went in as the only women in shop full of men and they made us feel completely comfortable. So because I only wanted a piercing I handed over to Jimmy, who is amazing! He answered all of my questions about the jewelry, like what metals were best for piercing and things like that easily. He then spent a good portion of the time trying to find the perfect spot for the piercing, which initially made me even more anxious; but in hindsight I REALLY appreciate that he took his time making sure that the hole wouldn't be too high and into the cartilage or too low. Everything was sanitary and he made sure to talk me through each step, like showing me when he put on gloves, when he was opening a fresh unused needle, even when he was just wiping my nose with alcohol. He communicated at all times and made sure that at I was fully informed about what was happening. I was not prepared for the pain of a septum piercing and Jimmy was nice enough to joke with my friend and I to get me to laugh to help ease my discomfort. I love the final product! The piercing is beautiful, the placement is perfect, and my experience there was beyond better than my previous experience with other piercings. I will come back here for all of my future piercings! I love this shop. I decided to buy a small vape pen (first time) and the manager, Logan, helped me and he was awesome! He was very nice and definitely explained how my vape pen worked and everything. This is my first time going here (6 days ago). I came back today because since I'm a first timer with this vape pen, I came in for help and Alex helped me today. He was so nice and cool and definitely showed me (again) how to refill my pen and explained how coils worked. (Since I've never owned one of these before). I was so dissatisfied with the tattoo I got! The artist was not too happy about doing the tattoo either. I showed him a picture of a yin yang sign and he made it to something totally different from the picture. Seriously just a simple yin yang sign. I told him no can you make the 2 circles inside the sign not so big. He wasn't too happy, I also asked him not to make the whole thing so big. And wasn't happy. The coloring is bad ITS ALL BLACK...I had to settle because I hate this tattoo and had to pay $100 for it. Now I have to go elsewhere to fix it. I go to a different parlor to actually get a different tattoo about a month later and was embarrassed to even show this tattoo because they did such a good job on the piece they did! Read Less

My wife got me into vaping to quit cigarettes. The staff were great about giving us tips on what mod to get. They have lots of options with something in every price range. Jonny is an incredible artist and all around good guy. I went in for a tattoo yesterday. He took his time with me to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. Tattoo was solid. Love this place! Everyone in town knows them or has heard of their legend! Staff is fantastic- patient, knowledgeable, friendly, great vibe and great sense of humor. I feel like Norm from "Cheers" every time I stop by- Everyone seems to know my name and they're always glad I came! Juice and gear selection is top-notch and service-levels are off the charts! If I lived a bit closer (and my wife didn't protest), I'd be here daily simply for the scene. Also, love the concept of Tattoo and Vape...only thing I would add is a micro-brewery component with a few nice craft beers to compliment the experience. As Lucy B had already indicated in another review, this staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.  I hate being a newbie when it comes to anything, and the Vape community can be a little intimidating, especially when you walk into a Vape shop that is filled with a dense fog of Vapor.We came here on Sunday when they were having their one year anniversary celebration and sale.  My girlfriend and I were in the market for something more substantial than the regular e-cigs that you find at gas stations.  Totally at the mercy of Frankie, the friendliest guy you could have asked for, for help with picking out something to get us started.  He broke things down for us to understand.  Explained the differences in batteries, atomizers, tanks and juice. After he explained to us the inner workings, he let us try and juice we wanted.We ended up buying an Ego One Starter kit and a couple of bottles of some of juices that we tried.
