My daughter & I both got ear piercings here yesterday, and our experience was wonderful. Ashley did my daughter’s piercing, which was her second holes on her ear lobes, and Frankie did mine. I got my conch done on each ear. Both piercers did an awesome job. Ashley was really patient, sweet, and great with kids. My daughter is 8 and her first ear piercing unfortunately was done with a gun, took forever to heal, and even got infected. 😫 It’s VERY important not to let your child’s ears be pierced with a piercing gun at places like Claire’s at the mall!! Take your child to an experienced piercer, not some teenager with what’s essentially an ear stapler. In the past, I wasn’t aware of how stupid & dangerous piercing guns were and have allowed them to be used on myself as well, but I’m very glad I’ve since then educated myself. Anyway, my little girl’s earrings look beautiful (purple amethysts) and Ashley took her time to make sure she had the absolute perfect spot for the holes before she pierced them. The placement is nice & symmetrical and looks the same on both ears, and the spacing between her first & second hole is perfect!
Also, my conches both look fantastic and Frankie is obviously very experienced and exceptional at what he does. He also provided me with lots of very useful information about body piercing jewelry and the various types of metals that are safest to use. Although the jewelry at this shop is expensive, it’s high quality titanium, genuine gemstones, and they also have solid gold, which I would love to get another time. So I purchased ear piercings & jewelry for my daughter, 2 conch piercings & jewelry for myself, plus I bought a pair of rook earrings as well so I could change my jewelry in my rooks. I ended up spending about $350, to give an idea of price. It was definitely worth it to me to have quality jewelry. As a single mom, this was definitely a splurge for me though.
My ONLY issue with this shop, (and it has NOTHING AT ALL to do with the awesome employees), is that they charge you an extra 2.25% of the transaction fee if you’re using a credit or debit card. I actually had my mom go get cash out because I didn’t want to pay a fee, but I ended up one anyway because she didn’t get enough cash, so I still had to use my debit card for part of my purchase. 🤦🏻♀️ That’s just really inconvenient because nowadays most people are absolutely going to pay with a debit or credit card. And when you’re already spending a few hundred bucks, tacking a fee onto that is ridiculous. As a small business owner myself, I can completely relate to not wanting to pay those awful fees that companies charge us when customers pay by credit card—the fees really suck!! And at my small business, we always tell our clients we *prefer* cash. I think saying you prefer cash and encouraging customers to pay with cash is fine! But, if a customer does have to pay by credit or debit card, we suck it up & pay the fee; we don’t punish our customers by making them pay it. But like I said, that was my only problem, and it’s certainly not a criticism of the employees at this fine establishment. I just wanted to mention it in the hopes that they’ll possibly stop this practice. 😊 Oh! I almost forgot to say the shop is very nice on the inside, and very clean! It smells really good in there too, and they have a great selection of jewelry, probably the best jewelry selection I’ve seen for a shop around here! Read Less
