THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVERI’ve never got such a disrespectful attitude from any online store ever. This is just crazy how long it takes Painful Pleasures to respond to my letters, and how half-hearted Tony Tailor does his job. I live in Moscow Russia and I’ve ordered a lot of items from PP, total cost of which is 1335 $ including 119$.My parcel should have been delivered on April 3rd, but instead of my order I’ve got a call from the delivery company(UPS).They have said that some items from my order had a code which means “not for personal use”, so only legal entity could purchased them. I had to go to the customs and spend there an entire working day, I spent four hours just waiting for anyone to tell me what was going on and how I can fix this situation. In the end of the day they told me that I couldn’t do anything cause items couldn’t pass customs clearance. They showed me an invoice so I could see the wrong code and some of the items merged into one big item (also PP’s mistake). In that very evening I wrote a big letter to PP asking for help with this situation ASAP. After days of waiting I’ve got a short respond that shocked me - PAINFUL PLEASURES TOLD ME THAT IT WAS MY FAULT THAT I HAD NOT TOLD THEM NOT TO PUT THE CODE “NOT FOR PERSONAL USE” IN THE INVOICE . Tony Tailor who’s job is to help with customer problems told me that I should have predicted the situation because THEY DIDN’T KNOW THE CUSTOMS POLICY IN RUSSIA. THEN WHAT SHOULD YOU KNOW IF YOUR JOB IS TO HELP CUSTOMERS FROM MANY DIFFERENT COUNTRIES INCLUDING PROBLEMS WITH CUSTOMS AND DELIVERY???? DID YOU SEND A PACKAGE TO RUSSIA FOR THE FIRST TIME? I don’t think so....And the best part of this story - HE SAID THAT WE HAD TO PAY EXTRA 269 $ FOR THE RETURN OF THE ORDER TO THEM.This is a real fraud. Probably the worst customer service ever! Buyer beware as you can and will get ripped off by this company.   I purchased a $600 Stigma tattoo machine from these guys and though it seemed to take forever to deliver, slow delivery is not what I am here to complain about however.   Upon delivery my new tattoo machine was not quite running right so I contacted painful pleasures. After finally getting a response they told me there were adjustment screws on the sides of the machine. So naturally I tried to adjust the screws on the side. However they did not tell me there were hidden locking screws that locked those plastic screws in place. So I sort of stripped the screws not knowing. So I contacted painful pleasures again to see if they could help me purchase a new set of screws. They told me I should not have messed with the screws and they would no longer be helping me. What did I do? I only did what they said and then they would no longer help me. Not to mention were very rude about it as if it were my fault.   I guess in some ways it may have been my fault as I did read some of the bad reviews and still decided to give this company a try. Worst shopping experience ever. My wife ordered a tattoo machine for me as a Father's Day gift. She paid for the 2 day ups shipping . And we never received it due to them needing to confirm a tattoo license, she didn't have one because she was surprising me with the gift. So two weeks later still no machine she calls to cancel and reorder using my account (tattoo artist) again 2 weeks pass and still no machine. I finally call again and they give me some dumb excuse about need Ming to verify credit card. Needless to say I cancelled the order and am waiting for the return of 2 charges on credit card for machines that were never shipped .... this company is garbage and I won't be shopping here ever again. This was my first order with Painful Pleasures, and I couldn't be more happy with it. The nose screw I bought was exactly as described and totally accurate. It is polished to a mirror finish and there weren't any nicks or rough edges. Shipping was fast (and I live in Canada), and costumer service was super quick to respond to any inquiries and were very helpful. Wow! This is the last time I will ever order and buy anything form your company! You have a total disregard for your customers that have given you your business which you don't deserve! You treat me like you're doing me a favor meanwhile you take my money! I placed an order, received an order confirmation email however my order never arrived. 3 weeks after placing the order, I log on to "my account" and see that my order is in a status of "closed". Shipping and billing address are correct and point to where I live.My credit card was charged for the full amount on the day I placed the order but goods were never shipped. If this is the right location that sells tattoo supplies then here is my review Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I ordered a Cheyenne power unit from them and when it came in I was missing the interchangeable wall units. When I called (only being put on hold for 45 min) the customer service rep (who is the only one there) told me that there is nothing they will do, that I need to go through the manufacture. Now remember I bought the product from them, as Cheyenne does not sell direct. They offered no help and basically told me sad for you! I called a competitor, who was willing to not only send me extra goodies from what I went through with Painful pleasures, but charged me $20 bucks for the missing pieces I didn't receive. It seems like the moment I turned 30, I decided to put all kinds of holes in my body and ink all over my skin.  What do I have to lose at this point, amiright?Anyways, I was looking for some new jewelry for my new holes and was hoping to find somewhere local to look around and pick something out instead of ordering online and hoping that it was ok when it arrived.  I found painful pleasures online and HORRAY it's right next to my work, so I went to the shop.  First off - super hard to find if you're driving there.  I called and asked and still had a difficult time finding the entrance.  Once I was in I was happy.  I got to look at the different options.  I will say that one thing that I was a little irritated by was that you have to order everything on the iPad they have in the shop and they go back and retrieve it for you.  The iPad didn't work properly for me so the girl had to do it on her desktop.  I'm really thrilled I found a body jewelry warehouse so close to me.  I'll be making many trips in the future! Painful Pleasures looks like they have some great artist unfortunately I was never able to find out. I scheduled an appointment a month out and an hour before my appointment time they called and canceled. We rescheduled for the next day (a Friday) and the. I was called an hour later and they cancelled that. They rescheduled for Saturday at noon. I pulled up on time and the artist walked me in and told me that there were no tattoo supplies available. No ink, no needles, no paper towels. Nothing. The. Absolute worst tattoo experience I have ever had and could ever imagine. I would never recommend this place. Read Less

What a wonderful experience. Every so often a place of business will raise the bar for the industry. After being tattooed the past 8 years in a variety of high-end shops in DC and Northern VA, I was blown away by the place. This has to be the most state of the art and clean studios I have ever seen. It is located off a main highway, in a nice quiet industrial park with a nice forrest view. There is ample free parking. The inside of Painful Pleasures looks brand new and is very, very well kept. Hell, even the bathroom has automatic sink and soap dispenser, the floor is immaculate. Every little detail is taken care of. The individual rooms they use for tattooing have private TVs and radio options. The tattoo chair is ergonomic and very comfortable. My artist had the cleanliness and professionalism that could make most ERs look silly. There is also a feature to turn the clear glass walls opaque for tattoos in places that not everybody gets to see. All of the supplies are top notch and they don't skimp. My artist even cleaned the chair in front of me with bleach based cleaner before getting started (despite the fact it was already clean). He also opened all needles in front of me and changed gloves repeatedly to avoid any cross contamination. I was hesitant to post because I am selfishly hoping to allow this studio to be the best kept secret in the DMV area, but when a business and an artist put this much effort into customer experience and work, recognition is mandatory. I provided him with reference material and let him do his magic from there.I spent the better part of a year looking for someone to bring my idea to fruition. After many hours searching artists on the east coast I lucked out and found Dee.Very easy to get an appt. The artist doesn't want to become one of those that have a 2 year waiting list. He doesn't like to schedule more than a month or so out.Not sure how long that's going to last though. Dee has been flying all over the country going to conventions and guest spotting at shops so his quality of work is becoming readily apparent to those in the know.Had my first session (booked him for the whole day) on my Hawaiian themed half-sleeve in October. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I got the living social deal.  Everything was going well for the past few months.  And then when it came time for me to pay extra sessions they increased the price by over $20 per session even though the original amount was written on my paperwork.  She said that price was wrong even though I was quoted that amount 5 months ago.  I told her why should I have to suffer, and pay the price difference because her staff was telling me the wrong price for months.  I told her that was not good business practices, and she said when I get my own business I can run it how I like.  Mind you this was in front of two other customers.  I asked to speak with a manager, and she said she was the COO.  Please do not waste your time and money it is clear they do not care about customers, and only about trying to get as much money as possible.  Here I am half way through my tattoo removal hoping I can find another place who will finish where they left off.  How unsettling smh.  She told me I don't have to come back... I still have half of my tattoo left I need more sessions.  She said none of the other customers complained about the price increase.  I politely let her know my concern was my tattoo removal, and the price, and not how other customer responded to the news of having to pay more. After careful review and research, I selected Painful Pleasures to pierce my daughter's ears. She was so very excited and the piercer did such a great job. He took his time and must have marked her ear a couple times before we realized one ear is higher and bigger than the other. He made sure to put the piercing where it would be symmetrical as she grew. At one point my daughter looked at me while the piercer was massaging her ears and she didn't even realize he had pierced it! No infections, no drama with cleaning. I'm an OG and I don't ever remember seeing a tattoo/piercing shop as clean as this one. I've actually been to doctor's offices that don't compare in terms of cleanliness to Painful Pleasures. If you are looking for a CLEAN place to get pierced, this is it. I went recently to get my septum pierced. They addressed my concerns about the piercing, and then I went upstairs to get it done. The place is immaculately clean. If you took a white glove to the entire place I doubt you'd find a speck of dirt or dust. The person who did my piercing sterilized all the materials, and I can't even count how many times he washed his hands or changed his gloves between marking the piercing, doing the piercing, putting in the jewelry, and cleaning the area after. So I am writing this review as someone who did not directly receive any service from Painful Pleasures, but I did take my niece to get her nose pierced, so I am basing it off that. My niece wanted her nose pierced and we looked into a place that offered this service near my home. Painful Pleasures came up with a Groupon deal, but alas, they were sold out. Undetered by this, we went anyway. First off, this place is like in a warehouse area, so it is a bit off the beaten path, but they do online sales too, so its understandable. The front waiting area is really cool, with an old classic car for decoration and a free pinball machine (my kids loved that)! There also plenty of jewerly and art to look at, so it was nice.We were greeted promptly and the lady behind the counter was nice. It did take some time to find the piecing guy and we were the only customers there at that point, but we were not in a rush so it was cool. My daughter had to use the restroom while we waited, but the lady wouldnt tell me where the restroom was, so I finally convinced her to escort us upstairs so she could go. That was a bit annoying, but whatev.Finally the piercer came and we all went back upstairs. He was really professional and explained everything. The booths and layout were very clean and he sterilized everything really well. The piercing went really quick and my niece was satisfied. Groupon deal for tattoo removal.  I purchased the four sessions.  Had my first session on July 3rd.Scheduling was easy. The scheduler was sweet and thorough.  I was asked to fill out the intake form online prior to arriving for the first session.  The form asks about medical history and such, as is the protocol with any laser treatment.  Dr. Briggs is available 2-3 times per week, so make your appointment at least a week in advance.Parking is on a private lot, but reserved parking for The Studio isn't plentiful, so leave time for finding parking in one of the unmarked spaces.The Studio has two levels and the decor is quite spectacular ranging from vintage car in the lobby to hanging woman atop the stairwell. I nearly had a heart attack with the hanging woman, but I still enjoyed it.  Lots of nicknacks to check out.  A few were a bit sadistic but definitely worthy of a photo to share on FB.The staff at the front desk was cheerful and helpful. She answered the questions I had after reading the "risks" with the tattoo removal.  I was reassured and prepared for the treatment.Dr. Briggs saw me right away on the 2nd floor.  He evaluated the tattoo, gave me a bit of the run down of what to expect with RevLite laser, and told me that I will need more than 4 sessions since the tattoo was professionally done, although it's small. I should have purchased the 8 sessions.  Before we started, he handed me a pair of goggles and then cleaned the tattoo area. He did a test shot to gauge my  pain tolerance.  It wasn't all too painful.  Like a quick prick of a needle-head. When I said to go for it, I took a deep breath, and within a breath and what felt like a hundred needle pricks, it was all over.  As he ran the laser over the tattoo, it appeared lighter. Then within seconds, a slight redness developed around the tattoo.  It felt itchy, but Dr. Briggs warned against touching or scratching. He placed a gauze over the treated tattoo. It will stay itchy for the next week, but it'll subside.Dr. Briggs recommended a 6-8 weeks break in between sessions for full effect.  I went downstairs and scheduled my 2nd session for 8 weeks later.  I was told that I should be seeing some results within 4 weeks.  It has been 3 1/2 weeks and the tattoo is starting to "break".  A few areas have already faded a bit.  The skin is dry and has started to peel minimally but with no pain.  The treatment is definitely working and it's not as painful as I had imagined. I ordered from Painful Pleasures about a month ago, received notice the next day that my order had been received and was processing. They took the money out of my account THE SAME DAY but never sent what I ordered. I waited ten days, hoping that maybe the email about tracking just got lost, then decided to call the number they left on the website. I left my name, number, my reason for calling and I was EXTREMELY polite. I gave them two days to call me back, then decided to call again. The phone was disconnected and the call would not go through. I said screw it and called PayPal to file a claim. They said that they would contact Painful Pleasures and give them ten more days to either send my money back or send a tracking number, if they didn't comply, then PayPal would just refund my money. All I can is thank god I used PayPal or this would not have been settled this quick. I never got any notice from Painful Pleasures about why or how my order didn't get sent or why they just decided to take my money without sending what I ordered. This business is extremely unprofessional and it is completely disgusting that they took my money ASAP but never sent me my stuff. Stay far away from these people! Shady and unethical. Wish I'd read online ratings before trying to order from them. I ordered a custom gold piece last week. Received 2 confirmation emails from painfulpleasures.com accepting the order and they took the money from my bank account. Two days later they emailed me asking for $60 more before they make the item, because "the price of gold went up." (Which, in reality it did not; the general price of gold actually went down in the month prior.) I responded agreeing to their terms because I wanted the item & it was hard to find; but I let them know how unhappy I was with the price increase. They then cancelled my order, even though I agreed. So I requested an immediate refund of the money they already took from my bank, and the owner said they already refunded it (which they did not). Very poor business practices! Should be zero stars. Ive gone back/forth with their owner Marc who would rather do whatever it takes to try and prove he's in the right which he clearly is not, instead of acting like a respectable/professional business owner. I followed their guidelines for returning the item and asked for a simple exchange in the correct size or a refund if they did not have that size. I have heard nothing, weeks later after I keep emailing I get a reply from what appears to be this guys wife telling me they didnt get the package, maybe it was lost in the mail, etc. There's no way! And from many other reviews/horror stories out there apparently this is just one of many tricks they try to pull on customers. I replied with all formal docs and stated if this wasnt resolved in a few days id seek further action. This initial order was placed a month ago! Ive contacted my bank, BBB and others to make sure this doesnt continue happening to others. Some people should be ashamed in their character and how they do their 'business'. My advice, STEER CLEAR of Painful Pleasures unless you want a similar painful experience. Read Less
