First time going in was today (friday the 13th) for their flash sale and it wasn't bad. They were a little chaotic and unorganized but this was only their second time (I believe) doing this so that's to be expected. I think I would prefer going to my main shop but still not a bad spot. Saw an advertisement for marvel related black friday tattoos and reached out to the artist about a piece i wanted to get started for my son. I havent gone to a shop since my preferred artist past away and Mariana went out of her way to make me comfortable in getting new work. I had to push my appointment back due to court and she still found time to work around my schedule. My tattoo turned out amazing, its juggernaut and she did a great job , the details on his helmet and hands are incredible. Cant wait to go back for my next piece. Highly recommend to anyone. I went in for my first tattoo yesterday, and I could not have had a better experience. The atmosphere was clean, brightly lit and welcoming. Ely did my tattoo, and she is such a sweet and kind person. She led me through all of the steps kindly and gently, putting my nerves immediately at ease. The tattoo she did for me is GORGEOUS. It is exactly what I wanted - I wouldn't change one thing about it. She was wonderful through the process, too, making sure to take frequent enough breaks so that I could stand up and stretch and look at the progress in the mirror. Recently got my first EVER tattoo here done by the amazing Ely! It is a nice, professional tattoo shop that has separate areas for each artist. I have known her for a long time but was nervous since this was a new experience but she totally put me at ease and it was overall just a wonderful, positive time :) Her line work is impressive and I also love her overall artistry style. I know I'm not the first person to sing Kinsey's praises, but she deserves every bit of it (and more)!I'd been thinking about adding to my existing tattoo for years now, but never had the timing (or funding) correct. My first tattoo was something I designed that I got ~9 years ago, and it needed something more. I finally decided last year that I wanted to do a watercolor-style addition. After tons and tons of research and browsing galleries in the Baltimore area, I came across Kinsey's work and it was exactly what I was looking for.I reached out to Kinsey via email to ask a tons of questions and get myself on her schedule. It did often take a few days to get a response, but when I did hear back each time Kinsey's answers were very thorough and helpful. I scheduled my appointment with her (the earliest availability was about a month and a half away) and shared my thoughts on what I wanted. Kinsey shared her idea/artwork with me before I arrived, so I could make/suggest any adjustments if necessary (which I didn't have!).Day of: obviously, I was a bundle of nerves since it had been years since I'd gotten my last tattoo! The shop was easy to find, and very clean and had nice decor. You sign in and read/sign your waiver via iPad, which was kind of high tech and cool. It even emails you a copy instantly, with post-care instructions!Kinsey was welcoming, professional, and very conversational throughout the whole entire process, keeping me as comfortable as I could be- I loved her! We worked out the placement, she worked with me to pick out the colors, and the whole process from start to finish took only a bit more than 2 hours. She was even completely fine with me needing a short break, and just sat and chatted with me until I was ready to get back into it! She informed me of how to care for my tattoo, and said that if I saw the need for any touch ups, she does them complimentary and would be happy to schedule the time once the tattoo had healed. I know that this was a long one, but every step of my experience here was awesome. Two weeks later, my tattoo looks great and is completely healed. You can bet that once I figure out my next tattoo, I'll be coming back to Idle Hands! :) Read Less

For my last day in MD visiting my sister, we decided to add a little something to our "sister arm". In addition to our matching tattoos, we each got something on our own as well. Let me start by stating how energetic and nice everyone was! A few days prior to our appointments, we found Idle Hands website and almost immediately fell in love with the style of Kinsey's work. She was super nice over the phone when we scheduled our appointments, which made me feel even more comfortable and at ease with our decision.Upon arriving to our appointment,  we were greeted immediately. We showed Kinsey a few photos of what we wanted and she quickly drew something up and made sure we were 100% happy and comfortable. The number one thing I loved about Idle Hands, were that each artist is set up in his/her own private room! I cannot stress enough how much that made a difference to our experience. Kinsey was humble,  laid back,  and really easy to communicate with.  The three us were chat chatting the whole time,  our sessions went by in a flash! Overall, a super relaxing atmosphere,  awesome work, affordable prices and really friendly people. My only complaint is that she's not in California... where I need her to be! Read Less
