From the moment I walked in I was warmly welcomed from who I thought was the receptionist but was actually the co-owner and my tattoo artist. I must say tha Ms. Mick has a craft. I will never go anywhere else but dragon moon again. I had a bad tattoo and wanted to cover it up. I went to another shop with a design and they told me "Yeah no problem that will work" but it was obvious they didn't really care. Mick started out 15 years ago as a well - researched tattoo artist to give me a medium sized hip piece (which still looks great btw) and over the past decade and a half has become someone I try to see every year for everything from a sleeve to an intricate mandala with watercolor highlights (yesterday)!  I drive am hour and a half to get to Dragon Moon and Mick who is now someone I consider a good friend as well as a brilliant artist.  She takes my ideas and makes them better.  She can draw both a mean stencil and draw straight onto your body with equal finesse.  I'm so proud of the pieces Mick had done for me, and am just starting woth her on what will be a multi year project.  It's true that you get what you pay for, and from Mick to every other tattoo and piercing you get from Dragon Moon, you are getting the best.  Trust her, trust the process, and you will get something uniquely yours to wear proudly for the rest of your life.  Thanks again, dear Mick!! I have had 2 tattoos done by Jacob and love them both. He is great at listening to what I want and creating the perfect piece. Jacob is also good with customer service and multitasking, while there for my appt there were several walk-ins seeking advice and info and he was able to help them quickly but friendly. My husband has one tattoo by Jacob that he loves and 2 by Tom that he also loves. The quality of work done at this shop is just amazing. If you're thinking of going anywhere else, don't! I was going to go to another shop closer to my home but after speaking with the artist at that shop I felt uneasy, like he could care less about my ideas for my tattoo. My daughter and I had our first tattoos done at Dragon Moon by Jacob. He was extremely patient with us "1st Timers" and made us feel very comfortable. My daughter passed out while she was getting tattooed and Jacob knew just what to do and assured me she was fine and that it happens sometimes when someone hasn't ate a substantial meal before a tattoo. He fed her candy, got her sugars up, gave her water, and cool rag for her head. He gave her a little break and then finished her tattoo and it looks awesome. Then he did my tattoo and it was great, exactly what I wanted. Going back very soon to add on to it. I cant wait! I have to say I didn't know what to expect and was a nervous wreck. My nose ring fell out just before I boarded my flight to DC. These guys were my first stop to get a new nose ring. The staff was great and helped me!! Clean and professional. My guy was patient and friendly. They were a life saver so I didn't have to re-pierce my nose. Not your typical piercing or tattoo parlor. It was soooo clean and just put together! Mick at Dragon Moon Tattoo Studio did my first tattoo in about 1994. It is 7 rose around my ankle. I just walked in one day. The young lady at the desk was awesome. She helped me pick out one single rose from the posters. She told me Mick was on her way to the shop from the airport and that she could do it when she got there. I was worried she wouldn’t want to after a flight home, and that I should come back another day, but she insisted I wait for her. I did, and when Mick c...ame in right from her flight she was so sweet to me. She sat down with the one rose and created an ankle bracelet for me. The work was great I was so happy. Than in 1999 I came back this time I made an appointment. And she put a gorgeous buckskin on my thigh. It was a Pegasus from one of the posters and she removed the wings for me. After that it took me a few years to come back, but in 2010 Mick again amazed me with a beautiful Clan Crest and thistle. I have been back a few times over the years. Jacob Pinkney did a lovely Thistle on my wrist, and few cat paws. He was going to do a few more small tattoos, but the day of my appointment the mother of his child (pregnant at the time) had some issues and he had to take her to the hospital. Mick came out and talked to me. She told me there was something urgent, that he had to leave. She told me I could reschedule or that Adam Harrison was available. I was nervous not knowing Adam, but she assured me he was very good and that she trusted him. It worked out great. I was very comfortable with him and have stuck with him for a few more small tattoos. I have 12 tattoos now, they are starting to run together so maybe it’s not 12 anymore lol. I have the 13th all thought out! I will be back! Dragon Moon has fabulous artist and kind people working there. I would never have thought to go to another Tattoo Studio after my first visit there. This is the best place to get a tattoo. They are so sanitary and clean, I've read about a lot of horrible and dirty tattoo studios and this definitely not one of them. My tattoo artist was Mick. She was amazing! She was very nice and super sweet. I gave her a few pictures of something that I love and a few other ideas. She drew it up and started on me. I have just left dragon moon and couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment I walked in I noticed how clean and friendly the place was. And as for the tattoo they were very patient with the questions I had about the design and placement. While this was not my first tattoo it was my largest so I would 100% recommend this shop for "first-timers". My experience was 'full" even though i was very nervous. My tattoo artist talked to me the whole time to help ease the pain and my nervousness- or so I think!
