I've had 4 tattoos done by John at Tattooed Heart and the work he's done is EXCELLENT!!! I refuse to go anywhere else. Tattooed Heart is a very welcoming place. What I liked most is that you weren't criticized for a design that you want. I brought my ideas to John, and he turned them into something beyond awesome. I've had a lot of tattoos done as memorials. And bringing this idea to Tattooed Heart, John made sure that it looked great and made sure I was 100% satisfied with it. I will continue to go to Tattooed Heart. Very clean and positive environment. I was finally ready to get my first tattoo and I searched for months for the right place and for the right person to do my first tattoo. I saw John Garancheski's work at Tattooed Heart Studios and loved his style of artwork. I compared his work to many other artist throughout the state and could not find anyone else's work that even compared to John's. I showed many people his work including my wife and they were all impressed. So after month's of looking I made my decision so I emailed John through his website http://www.tattooedheart.com, he responded the same day and asked when it was a good time to come in for a consultation. John was very professional and really payed attention to what I wanted. Told him I wanted 2 flowers and an aggressive looking tiger on my right leg that covered the entire lower part of my leg. I said he had artistic freedom to do whatever he wanted and the result I got was amazing. The day of my tattoo I was 20 minutes early and when I arrived he had everything ready to go. He showed me how they sterillized everything, opened up new needles in front of me and prepared the fresh ink that was going to be used. He placed the stencil on and he actually removed it a few times because he wasn't happy with how it was placed which I was very impressed with. He just didn't put it on and just said it was ok. John takes pride in his work and it shows. He also drew some other things on free hand which was very impressive. My leg piece took 4 sessions and about 16 hours worth of work and during the entire time John was in the zone while working on my tattoo. John really cares about giving you the best piece of art and takes pride in his work. The end product is a beautiful piece of artwork that I am proud to show off. I already have 2 more idea's that I want John to work on and as soon as the holidays are over with I will be going back ASAP to get my other pieces started. This is the first time I have ever gotten a custom tattoo (one I didn't pick out of a book). Went in for a consultation Johnny Love took his time to get a really good understanding of what I was looking for. Went back a week later to actually get the tattoo, the sketch & concept were exactly what I was looking for! He took his time, made sure I was comfortable and began his work, I couldn't have asked for a better experience! And the result all I can say is AMAZING! Tattooed Heart in Glen Burnie is truly my idea of what a tattoo shop should be. I admit, I watch way too many of the tattoo shows on television, like Miami Ink and La Ink. I started to wonder what some of the tattoo places in the Baltimore area are like. I have been waiting for a long time to get my first tattoo, so it had to be perfect. After some disappointing experiences at some tattoo shops in Baltimore, I found the Tattooed Heart website and was impressed by the amount of photos and information. When I stopped by one evening I was again pleasantly surprised. Finally, a shop that lives up to all the hype. The staff was an interesting mix of people but they all treated me like family and made me feel comfortable. I was ready to get my first tattoo and I found the place I wanted to have it done. I spoke to Johnny Love, the owner, about a traditional sparrow that I had been thinking about and he set me up an appointment with White Trash Matt. Matt was wonderful, he had a sketch for me to look at when I showed up for my appointment and I was already happy with what he had done with the design. I got the tattoo on my shoulder and it did not hurt as bad as I thought it would. It took a long time for me to get my first tattoo, but I don't think it will be too long before I go back for my second. I hope everyones first tattoo experience is as positive as mine was! Hello, I am writing about bad experience while visiting Tattooed Heart. I went in to see about the special that they were offering on their web page. I asked if they could add some extras to the name tat that I wanted and it was if they didn't want the busy or something. Telling me that it would be extra for this and that. Which I didn't have a problem with. I just wanted what I wanted. The one guy that goes by the name of El Nundos was very rude and even cussed at me a few times. All I could do was stand there and look at him for a hot minute. And the other guy he was the one who was telling me if you add this and that it would cost more. And like I stated earlier money wasn't an issue. I had read some reviews on this place of business and the reviews weren't too good!!! But I figured that I would go in and check them out for myself. They just seemed like they weren't interested in pleasing me as a customer and kept talking about the price. After standing there and observing this I decided that I would take my business elsewhere. I wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone at all. And I let them both know that you don't conduct business in that matter. Meaning not be attendative or even listening to what the customer wants and the cussing infront of your customer or at your customers for that matter. El Nundos really needs to take some type of business classes to learn how to deal with the public when running a business that you have all walks of life coming into your place of business. He has a very poor attitude when talking to customers!!!! And from what I saw him do on the computer with the ""font"" I could have did that from home!!!! I asked to see some of their work and I was told that it was ""over there"" on some stand which I thought was not business like at all if you have a paying customer you should be more than happy to get the books and show off your work. No doubt, I will be going back for more! My husband and I did some research online and found Tattooed Heart to be one of the better choices based on other reviews and their website. We checked out some of their work online but wanted to be sure.This wasn't my first time in a tattoo shop but it was my first tattoo. The counter help was friendly and set me up with an appointment. When I went for my appointment, Markuss had some drawings ready for me and we discussed all the details. I ended up getting a better tattoo than I could have imagined. He was fun to work with and made the process really easy for me. My husband didn't want a tattoo before but now he is even talking about getting one! If he does, I know where we will be going! ok so Im a very critical person.. i call it like i see it. and im not afraid to speak the truth. that being said let me just tell you, i would highly suggest Tattooed Heart Studios to my closest friends.. (I would suggest enemies go elsewhere.. lol) My experiences with ""The Heart"" (as the family of staff calls it) has been nothing short of exceptional. As of now I have been tattooed by Johnny Love, Markuss & El Nundo !As well as pierced by El Nundo.. a few times. I ask for Tattooed Heart Gift cards for holidays and my birthday , I have managed to collect each one of thier custom T shirts and I even got a kick @$$ buffalo Chicken dip recipe from thier counter girl. I can't think of a better place to get custom artwork from a friendly staff. The place is always clean and i never feel like im not wanted.They do everything they can to make you feel welcome and are always happy to see you come back. I LOVE THE HEART!!!! going anywhere else is just a shame. Read Less
