Horrible consumer service. DO NOT GIVE them any deposit. Once you set up a appointment, you better wish nothing major happens that prevents you from calling to reschedule because if you don't then your deposit is gone. I set up a late appointment and I was with my wife at the doctor and by the time I had signal, it was way after closing. Told them right when they open the next day but was told if I want to reschedule then I would need to give another deposit. I find it hard to believe anybody would give another $50 to reschedule with this tattoo shop. Take your money somewhere else. Read Less

I went to this establishment on 01/08/2019 and was greeted by the owner  and we quickly discussed my vision concerning a tattoo that I wanted. I was informed the owner would perform this tattoo the following day and  he quoted me a specific price and made my appointment for the following day 01/09/2019. When I arrived for my appointment no other customers were present and the owner greeted me and introduced me to another artist that he stated would perform the tattoo. Things quickly got shaky when the new artist informed me he needed  20-30 more minutes to sketch my tattoo. While I didn't mind waiting this was not consistent with the original plan that occurred the day prior but I sat patiently alone in the front of the shop. when the artist emerged  from his room he quoted me a price that was 50 dollars more than the original price the owner quoted me.I informed the new artist this price was more than what I was quoted and he didn't respond. When I asked for a military discount he informed me that wasn't an option because the whole area is really military. I opted not to get my tattoo here even though I was scheduled for it to take place given how things unfolded and how it was out of order.I do respect all establishments but I can't spend my time and money with businesses that don't stand by their statements or change agreements at will. Given the current state of affairs I wasn't expecting any discounts but I would have appreciated if the original artist, price, and even sketch would have remained the same. The artist did have a great sketch even though it looked smaller than the original concept and the place did look clean. Unfortunately I will not be back and will probably go somewhere else. Had an amazing experience at this shop today! Walked in earlier this afternoon with an idea for my tattoo and was greeted by Danny and Lauren. From start to finish, both of them were welcoming, friendly and awesome. The shop is so clean and their decor is amazing. Danny drew up my design, was super patient while I figured out the perfect placement and we had a great convo while I got my tattoo. I sat with Lauren after and got a new earring for my rook piercing, and she even offered to change it for me. Overall, 10 out of 10. This place is kind of hidden but it's there and it's a nice small tattoo place. I came here for my first tattoo and I'll admit it was on impulse. Well getting it then was impulse but I've always wanted one. Anyway I went, found something I liked, sent it to the guy who was helping me, and did it within 10-15 minutes (it was a small tattoo). He was super nice and when I went to go pay he told me they didn't accept card so he let me leave to get cash and come back. I also asked him about pricing for another tattoo I was thinking about doing and he was very helpful. I don't remember his name but I wish I did. I got a tattoo on my ribs in April 2017. It was medium size. I was very happy with the tattoo and that parlor. Everything was clean and professionally done. And I know tattooing ribs can be hard,so I'm happy mine came out well. The only thing was there was a line where some of the ink leaked out of place. I had gone back after 6 months to talk to the tattoo artist about it and he said that is still healing and not to worry about it. Unfortunately it's still the same as it was when it was healing. My entire experience - from the moment I set foot in the door to the moment I left was phenomenal. So much gratitude to Danny, Chriz, and Lauren for welcoming me and being able to fit me in as a walk in. The studio is highly professional, but also has a welcoming feeling to it. The energy was positive and calming. My entire process was smooth and hassle-free...truly a magical experience. Both Chriz and Danny are super personable and overall, spectacular artists. I found out about No Sleep through an extraordinary tattoo that Danny did. The artwork really floored me, especially when I heard that the entire process was a co-creation that Danny spearheaded. Truly a unique tattoo.I was so blessed to walk in on Saturday and be able to get tattooed by Danny. Mid-tattoo, Danny asks me, "do you know what the hardest thing to tattoo is....CIRCLES" right has he's working on the circles on my arm, which by the way he nailed. It's no secret that tattoo shops/studios are notorious for unfriendly/douchey people & atmospheres, but not this one. Conveniently located, the atmosphere at No Sleep is friendly and accommodating. The staff is kind and respectful. Most importantly it's CLEAN and CALMING which are biggies ( in my eyes). My first interaction was with Chriz. He's a friendly person and was able to accommodate my request for same day ink, and a quote for future ink. When I arrived to get my work done, Jason was the artist that took care of me. I told him the situation and that another shop said it would take about half a day. I asked if I could send him a text to see if it really does take half a day. After he looked at it he responded within seconds and said that it's a walk in type tattoo and was able to get me in and out within two hours. Chris was suppose to do a half sleeve on my right arm. I described what I wanted in great detail. He said he would draw up something and send it to me and see if I liked it. Weeks go by and I hear nothing so I called him and he said " I got you I didn't forget you" so I'm like ok. A a couple weeks later I show up at the shop and he says the same thing. My appointment is in 4 days. So I show up for my appointment and not only did he not draw up anything but he got 5 different prints from off google and told me to pick one . None of which was what I described to him. I reminded him what I wanted and he said "it might be best if I go somewhere else and anyone would jump to get any of those tattoos" in complete disbelief I said ok and left the store with the money I put down as a deposit. I'm a sales manager and have been in customer service for over 10 years and this is completely unacceptable. Very disappointed and I'm going to make sure everyone knows my experience here! Read Less

Both my girlfriend and I have had work done by Danny. He is courteous, personable, and professional in all aspects of his work. I get new work done roughly every year by him and it's always a great experience. I was extremely happy when he and Chriz decided to open up their own shop. Danny does some amazing American Traditional work and although I've never had work done by Chriz his realist tattoos are jaw-dropping. Don't read the bad reviews. I absolutly adored this place and the 2 highly professional and talented gentlemen. I called with some Questions before coming out and Josh answered all my Questions.  He was so thorough in his directions.  We must have spent a full five minutes on the phone.  Very personable and nice to talk to. I originally went in for a nose piercing but as soon as I walked in the shop and saw Danny,  I knew I was walking out with a tattoo as well.( If I were 20 yrs younger and not married lol) Josh did my piercing and he was the most awesome guy to talk to. If I could give no stars I would. I got my navel pierced and first of all, the guy didn't clean it properly and I know because I've gotten pierced at other places. I should've left then but this guy assured me he knew what he was doing, he took 10 minutes trying to decide whether or not to use clamps because he "never uses them" but for me he took them off and on about 5 times and then decided not to use them... I knew when I was sitting there that he didn't know what he was doing and that that I should of left... I gave him the benefit of he doubt because he kept telling me he used to work at a piercing shop in NYC and did this all the time and he knew what he was doing. He didn't. Eventually he put the piercing in FREE HANDEDLY and the process wasn't fast, it took about 30 seconds which for a piercing is very long because it should be in and out in a second. I go and check it out and it's SO crooked!!!! I went back and told them it was crooked and the piercing guy told me it's not but he would fix it and I was asked him how he would fix it (I knew the whole time I didn't want him to touch it again but I was curious) he said he would put the needle back through the top to make it more open... that doesn't make sense at all... anyways I left really unsatisfied, the only reason I would go back is to get my money back.. which I'm going to do.Update: I went back to see if they could actually fix it, not even to get my money back and the owner Chris was very unprofessional, rude, and had an immediate nasty attitude. My little sister got her belly button pierced here a few hours ago.. she came home upset about the piercing and i noticed it was crooked as hell so as her older sis i called and asked if we could come back and see if there was anything we could do about the piercing. On the way their she tells me how he DIDNT use clamps, he clamps he knew what he was doing.. & didnt sterilize the needles after taking them out of the packing like wtf..... The minute we walk in she lifts her shirt and before he even looks at it says "its not crooked.. he then began raising his voice and caught an attitude with her saying things like "what are you looking at" and not once did we ask for the money back but instead of offering to re pierce her he yells at her and says okay you want your money back here take it back.. free piercing for you and then just continues on raising his voice very unprofessionally and immature. Went as a walk in with no previous knowledge of the place other than what google told me. Danny was very friendly, professional and very easy going. The place looks great, is super clean and prices are reasonable. While the piece my friend and I got was not a difficult one to make, I am definitely coming back to Danny for more challenging ones. I decided to get my navel pierced for my birthday on November 23, 2016. Five days later I noticed the top ball of my piercing was embedded in my skin. I contacted the original piercer (from a different shop) and she assured me that it was "normal." I decided to go with my gut feeling and contact another piercer for a second opinion. No Sleep Art & Body Modification was there to help. The piercer was professional, kind, and quick. I unfortunately had to remove the piercing, but will definitely come back once it's healed. I guess I will start off by telling you that No Sleep is not a mattress store or sleep apnea research facility! It is a kick ass tattoo parlor. I followed Danny over from his former spot, Raw Ink. I had my first work done with him over there and had to get more done. I have now had 5 tattoos done by him at No Sleep and I love each one more than the last! Danny is a phenomenal artist on paper and flawlessly transfers the image to my skin. We have been working on an HP Lovecraft themed sleeve and it looks great. You can check it on their instagram and facebook pages. Danny is big on customer service and makes sure his clients are comfortable, informed and important. I can call or text him any time and tell him what I have in mind and he gets me in there within a few days with a design that he could have pulled right out of my head. I have referred several people to him and they agree that he is awesome. The shop is very clean and professionally maintained. I have not had any work done by the Native American gentleman that also works there but I am told he is almost as equally as talented as Danny. I had my Clint Eastwood tattoo done by Chriz by recommendation from a friend. It came out exactly as i imagined if not better. Im a huge classic movie buff and very particular about what goes on my body but he exceeded my expectations! I was so happy with my Clint tattoo, I decided to start a classic horror movie monsters sleeve on my right arm.
