After seeing the bad reviews and the one review that targeted the bad reviews I will not be going here. I was looking for a local tattoo shop with quality work and exceptional customer service to tattoo our squads logo. This one stood out with their name which led me here. The customer service STINKS (at best)!!The young lady who walked out to "greet us" was very short and quickly said 'you will have to com back tomorrow and its first come first serve'.  We told her we had a rookie in our group who wanted to look around and she might as well have said so what (her look was so dismissive).  She went back into her office.When she reemerged  and she quickly said 'we take walk-ins, but everyone is busy so tomorrow is your only option and its first come first serve'.  Mind you, there wasn't 1 customer in the store at that time.I would think that you would at least ask about what our interests were before telling us we had to come back...Needless to say, there will be no return visit Read Less

This was the last phase of my cancer journey, and I was able to maintain a positive attitude throughout the entire process. I was so excited to finalize my journey and feel a sense of normalcy through the 3D nipple tattoo process. My entire surgical team has been amazing and I had total confidence in my doctor's recommendation to use Little Vinnies tattoos. Unfortunately, you can take the tattoo artist out of the tattoo parlor but that doesn't necessarily change their bedside manner. In fact, I might ask my hair dresser to do my next tattoo because I think she would actually do a better job of listening. I provided pre-mastectomy photos. Yet these were not used to help do a size/color match. In fact, I was told they never use them (so why ask?). My scars are in the center of my chest. According to the tattoo artist, that prevents them from putting the tattoo in the most logical place. Yet the examples on the Web look like they are tattoos over the scars. So now mine are lopsided and different sizes. Lesson learned, I should have trusted my gut and just walked away. Read Less

Vinnie Myers, you are amazing! I know you hear this all the time, but it is true. It is unbelievable how much two little tattoos can change how you feel about your body. It has been a year and a half since my bilateral mastectomy. I would look in the mirror and just see scars. You and your artistry have given me so much confidence. I barely pay attention to the scars anymore..and it has only been 5 days. God bless you for what you do. On a lighter note...I loved the story you told us, about the McDonald's sausage in Hawaii....and the guy who couldn't understand the "southerner"..it was hilarious. I called and asked if it was required to make an appointment, I was told no. I then asked if it would better for me to come today or tomorrow. They tell me I can come in an hour and a half. I drive 40 minutes to get there and the tattoo artist Ian informs me that the people who walked in an hour after me had a scheduled appointment. I asked why I was told to come if that was the case he told me I could make an appointment or wait another hour. I would never drive 40 minutes away to make an appointment I could simply do over the phone. I will now be going to Bullets Ink in Mt. Airy. They have a higher rating score and offered me the same tattoo for 40 dollars cheaper. I will never give my money to a business who does not care to keep their costumers. I have 3 tattoos and this is the only tattoo place that I ever experienced any kind of problems with. I will take my business else where and assure my friends not to waste their gas coming here even if they are told to by the employees.Read Less

Being diagnosed with breast cancer is staggering and life-altering.  Amid the nearly daily Dr's appointments, treatment plans (none of them appealing), and actually going through with the plan, then the months of physical recovery, and the emotional recovery, which, in my opinion, takes much longer, all I wanted to do was whatever it took to get "back to normal" in every way, as quickly as possible, and with as little damage to my body as possible.  Little Vinnie's Tattoos makes this happen.  These artists make it happen.  Thank you, Pauly!Yesterday, I had the pleasure of being tattooed by Uncle Pauly, and completing a 2-year journey through breast cancer.  The work is still healing, but it looks amazing already.  Prior to my arrival, Paul and I discussed pigmentation and had a plan in place.  I have naturally fair skin, but tan regularly, so we discussed how dark I should be when I arrived, and how we would determine the proper color.  I also sent him "before" photos, so he could get an idea of what my natural breast looked like before any surgery. (Ladies, take BEFORE photos!)We spent a good amount of time discussing size, drawing and revising outlines, determining how we would work with my DIEP flap scars, and how we could give my nipple reconstruction more dimension.  He tested pigments on my skin to get just the right, natural tone before beginning the tattooing process.  He was professional, easy to work with, and very in-tune to what I wanted the finished work to look like.  He knew I was traveling from Detroit, and only in town for one day, so we had to get it right the first time, and he certainly did.He was fast and efficient, a true artist and craftsman.  I can't wait to see how this work looks in a week, a month, a year, and in 5 years.  I would highly recommend Pauly and the Vinnie Myers Team if you are in need of 3D Nipple Reconstruction and Areola Tattooing.  It is the finishing touch to getting your body back.  Don't settle for medical tattooing.  Get an artist.  Get THESE artists.  You survived.  Do this for you. I traveled 1665 miles to get the finishing touch on my breast reconstruction.  I had read everything I could get my hands on and the name,Vinnie Myers, came up over and over.  As a breast cancer survivor, you do feel broken and you do feel "incomplete".  I walked  in feeling that way and walked out a new woman!  Vinnie is a very serious artist.  He takes his work very seriously.  Vinnie does a great job and helps several women every single day to get that same "normal" feeling again.  His wife, Robin, is precious and compassionate.  They make a great team.  Unless you have walked in these shoes... you cannot imagine the relief!  The shop is clean and welcoming, but it is a REAL tattoo shop!  A first for me!  But so happy that I did! I called Little Vinnie's to get a price on having my wedding band tattooed on me. My fiancé had his done previously at the same place. They quoted me $100 for a tattoo which should take about 5 mins but we made the trip out anyway. When we got there it seemed like we were inconveniencing them by walking in.  After we told the man at the counter what we wanted he asked one of the artists who couldn't be bothered to get out of his chair or look me in the eye to refuse to do my tattoo. I can't speak to the quality of their work because after giving me a quote on the phone and telling me to come down they refused to do a very simple and easy tattoo. I followed my long time artist, Lil Chico, from a previous shop.  This shop is clean,  professional,  welcoming,  and just plain fun.  You can feel the care and pride of the artists in the artwork hanging (it's not just random flash pages) the walls are covered with personal works from the artists in the shop. These include Hand Painted skateboards and sawblades, canvases, and custom flash. Lets be real when your getting a tattoo it hurts and can be boring. At Little Vinnies the artists are quick with a joke or comment to get you talking, forgeting about the pain and time. Not to mention the niceties like well kept clean bathrooms,  plenty seating for waiting,  and a water cooler for the patrons.  While I was being worked on a young man came in to show Chico his tattoo....very cool black and Grey work on his upper shoulder.  As he proudly showed it off he said it was a cover up.  Unbelievable,  no way would I have ever thought it was a cover up.  Lil Chico had 18 yrs of experience and I would recommend him to anyone. So I have be tattooed for years by little Chico.  He does amazing amazing work. I used to drive from dc to Salisbury and back all in one day because he's that dope- fresh- straight pimpin!    Now that he is only in finksberg- you would be dumb not to get a tat by him.  I started small- tiny in fact- since then he has done sleeve, chest, have sleeve- his work speaks for itself.      Not only is his artistic ability top quality but his working quickness is an amazing side bonus.  This helps when it comes to moving steadily through pieces, saving time and Money for more ink!But here's the thing- little Chico, and for that matter, everyone I have met at little vinnies so far- the ink artists float in and out of each others studios, and around the parlor- has been amazing. I'm talking about high quality, real people. Genuine.  Funny.   Nice.   And another thing, they don't have to be.  They could be judge mental, Ds, but instead I'm engaged in conversation and witty banter Everytime I there   This includes all the staff. Apprentices and admins too! So let me summarize this- great artists-great ink- great speeds- competitive if not totally fair pricing- fun- and awesome people.   Um, why would I not go there.   Still don't believe me - check out their profiles and their work.  ALL THE WORK I have had done - or seen done on other while I'm there- is AMAZING! Still don't believe- call my bluff- go.  Get inked.  Love it- your welcome Still don't- do you research- look up what awesome things they are doing through that shop for cancer survivors, scarring , and cover ups.  These artists give a $hit and are back it up with action.    It won't take long for vinnies name to come up and the work he has done has created buzz and gotten the shop national , if not, international, recognition.   Don't love it- respond to my post and prove you got bad ink- and I'll personally refund some of your money.  Call. I haven't been tattooed at this shop but I have been tattooed by Little Chico, who works here, for many years and he has always treated me good and given me good work. To address these complaints-are you new to getting tattooed? Just because a shop takes walk-ins does not mean that they are able to on the particular day you walk-in, hence the appointment. No one is twisting your arm to get tattooed at any particular shop or place so you have the option to make an appointment or not. Shops always charge non-refundable deposits for appointments because if you don't show up, you wasted their time, time for other appointments and lost them money. This is standard procedure for tattoo shops. Now for price-most shops have a shop minimum. Meaning that they have a set price for the lowest amount of money they will charge to even put a drop of ink into your skin. This is another standard procedure. Good tattoos aren't cheap and cheap tattoos aren't good. If the artist suggested you do a different placement for the tattoo, it is with good reason. Take the suggestion because they aren't doing it to mess with you. They are professionals and know what works and what doesn't. Lastly, tattoo shops are adult establishments so you should not be getting offended over some language-how old are you? Anyways, keep up the good work, Chico, and maybe one of my travels will bring me in the direction of your shop! Read Less

Customer service was not up to par. Where is a help desk when you walk in?? Very expensive to do a small symbol tattoo. Also, if a customer knows where he/she wants their tattoo don't recommend somewhere else. Had an issue with the pricing (a little expensive for a tattoo no bigger than a quarter) but after my session he knocked off 20 bucks from the total because he learned my boyfriend is in the marine corps. Watch the language when around customers, I don't care what kind of business you run whether it be a tattoo shop or not, keep the profanity to a minimum. Read Less

Worst experience. Customer service is not their first thought. Staff seemed to be bothered that we walked in & that it was a hassle for them to stop their conversation to wait on us. Although they "take walk ins" we were told that we needed to make an appointment - we paid our $50 for the appointment - planning to reluctantly return. After deciding to wait we did not go back- only to find out that the deposit is nonrefundable. When attempting to share with the manager the experience and how this played into our decision the Manager-Richie-did not seem to care and kept quoting policy. When asked to talk with the owner Richie refused and hung up on me twice. I would never walk in this business and recommend for others to consider going somewhere else before stepping foot in this place.  Vinnie I hope you read this and reevaluate your decision on who is managing your shop. Just had the privilege of accompanying my sister in law to have her nipple and areola tattoo. It was a transformative experience for her...she walked in feeling like damaged goods (her word) and left feeling whole again. The results are astounding.
