this is my first time getting a piercing with a needle. i was very nervous. i got a rook, cartilage, and tragus. Megan was very nice and went through every step of what she was going to do. This was my first tattoo and Flesh came highly recommended.  I had sent over a picture of what I would like a week prior to my appt.  I was assigned to Kirk.  I was expecting him to take the picture and put his own spin on it.  He copied the image exactly from the drawing and did not put his personal touch on it.  I was really disappointed with the way the tattoo turned out.  Now I have a disappointing tattoo for life.  And $250 for a 45-minute tattoo is way too much.I would not recommend Flesh Tattoo or Kirk. Justin has done many of my tattoos and I have never been disappointed. The talent and care that goes into a tattoo by him is worth every cent. Disappointed. My mom had called 10 days ago to schedule an appointment for us. The receptionist at that time had said our only option was to do a walk in with one artist since everyone was all booked up. She told us to call today (July 24th) at 11:30am to secure our spot. This receptionist had also said she would leave a note to let the other receptionist know we were 100% going to come in today and work with Justin. She called five times between 11:30am-12pm only to be answe...red on the last call. The receptionist we spoke to was a different woman. She informed us that Justin was all booked up for walk ins even before the shop opened! I understand that walk ins are first come first serve and have no problem with this. However, we had tried to book an appointment 10 DAYS AGO but other people who called this weekend were able to get an appointment. We very well knew he was only taking walk ins until his wife has their baby, (which I do wish Justin and his family the best of luck), but to be technical we were first. Called 10 days in advance for appointment for myself and daughter who was in town for a limited time. Was told only option was a walk-in appointment with a single artist. Was told by one receptionist our name was put "on a list" and had to call at 11:30 that morning to schedule time. Called at 1130, no answer. Called back every 5 minutes until someone finally answered and was told that the artist, who was only doing walk-ins, was already booked (before the shop was even open for the day!) and that I should have let them know sooner... Guess 10 days is not soon enough and that if you aren't part of the in crowd and have the artists personal numbers, this "list" ee were put on doesn't matter. Moved to the area less than a year ago, and this afternoon was my first time here. Just walked in for a quick jewelry change on a few of my old piercings. The lady at the front desk (who I must say - has the most well-done green hair I've ever seen) was very polite! Megan was extremely personable and sweet! Answered some questions for me and was very nice! I knew what jewelry I needed and I wasn't pressured in any way otherwise - price point was also extremely reasonable! I've been going to Flesh since they opened and I have never had a bad experience. Guy has been working an a piece for me for a few years because I can't afford to get it all done at once. Even after taking sometimes up to a year between sessions he remembers me and the work and jumps right in like we never stopped. When I first went in a just gave him an idea of what I wanted and he drew up a custom piece that was exactly what I wanted. The shop is super clean and everyone that works there is friendly and willing to help.any way they can. The owner is also great and has stopped in several times while I'm there and seems to genuinely care about the customers. I've been wanting a tattoo for years but was scared and wasn't sure what I wanted permanently on my skin. My husband got me a gift card for my birthday. I decided on a foot tattoo. I had an appointment with Kirk. I went in not knowing what to expect. Kirk was amazing! I had an idea of what I wanted but left the artistic design up to Kirk. I got an industrial ear piercing done at Flesh by Megan a week and a half or so ago. The place is very clean and the receptionist was friendly. I didn't have an appt (they don't do appts for piercings), but was seen within about 20 mins of arriving. Megan was very nice and explained how to take care of the piercing and whatnot. Super clean which was my top priority. Leann is always great on the phone. I've got 3 tattoos from 2 different artists at Flesh and will continue going back. I had a consult for a tattoo but the artist flat told me it wasn't a good idea, which was SUPER appreciated. I don't want anything looking like crap in 10 years. Flesh Tattoo Company completely lives up to the reputation it has established throughout Maryland. For my 31st birthday I finally decided to get my second tattoo. I called the shop and talked with LeeAnn about a general idea of what I wanted. LeeAnn was able to suggest which artist would be best to create my tattoo. I was able to bring in a few printouts of the design I wanted and left the rest up to Kirk. Kirk drew up an amazing sketch and helped me decide where on my body I wanted it. Kirk did an awesome job on the tattoo and the whole process was comfortable and enjoyable. I was extremely nervous the day I scheduled to get my tattoo, but Kirk and LeeAnn made the whole experience relaxing.This shop has amazing artists and great customer service. When people ask me where I got my tattoo done, no one is surprised that I got it at Flesh. It is amazingly perfect. I would recommend to anyone to go talk with LeeAnn and let her help point you in the right direction with choosing the right artist for your tattoo. All of the artists are available to speak with you about what you have in mind. They are all equally amazing and beyond talented. But if you can grab an appointment with Kirk, do it. He's great! I have several tattoos and the one I got most recently (a fern frond, done by Angel) is my favorite. The detail is amazing and I'm always getting compliments when it's visible. Angel is incredibly talented and ran the custom drawing by me a few times before my appointment and it was perfect; exactly what I wanted. She also worked with my existing tattoos to tie them together. She was highly recommended because of the detailed botanical idea I had in mind, and she delivered.The customer service at Flesh is the best. LeeAnn, the shop manager, takes great care with everyone who walks in the door to make sure they're comfortable.The shop is super professional and clean and I'm so grateful that there's a custom shop like this in Harford County. To the person who gave Flesh a negative rating: you know you can see the stencil before they start to tattoo you, right? It's not like a blind date with something you'll have forever. DO NOT GO TO FLESH TATTOO COMPANY in Fallston,MD! I did lots of research on this "so-called professional tattoo shop" all of their tattoos online look great and so do the albums in the shop of "supposed" work they have done. I received the worse tattoo(I have several). I called and spoke to the owner Leanne and expressed to her how unhappy I was. I paid for a feather tattoo with birds....very common tat, so I thought. I ended up with a stick figure feather that a five year could draw better!!! It looks like a jail house tattoo. I tried to get them to work with me to fix it and they flat out refused and said I would have to pay a "New Artist" to have it redone at their shop. I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP TO ANYONE! Very unprofessional and apparently don't care if their customers are satisfied with the result of their elementary artists. If you like terrible tattoo's for a high price...then maybe this is the shop for you. If you expect a quality tattoo by a professional shop that cares about their image and their customers satisfaction DO NOT GO HERE! STAY far away!!! So I'm someone who has quite a few tattoos. I've seen plenty of bad I've seen plenty of good, and even great tattoos in my time. If you want a great or even a good tattoo with a positive customer experience than please please pay attention to what I say next. STAY AWAY FROM FLESH TATTOOS in Fallston Maryland. My 18 year old daughter went there to get a tattoo. She had exactly what she wanted in mind, we even did our research to find the right design and the right artist. When she walked into flesh earlier this week she walked in confident of what she wanted and with a picture in hand. What she went in asking for was completely thrown to the side and what she walked out with was a 5yr olds versions of what to me appears to be a mix between an arrow head, feather, duck beak, etc... essentially what she wanted was a feather turning into birds flying away. The tattoo she received was not even close. It's in a spot where it will show for the rest of her life and to make matters worse we went in today to voice our concerns and to voice our complaint and we were bombarded by the show manager and other tattooists raising their voices, talking over us, obviously making a bad situation even worse. The concern for the actual art wasn't even a care in their minds. They didn't want to hear any of it and in fact when asked if they thought it was worth the money that we paid for it they said absolutely, that it looked great, and they completely backed the tattooists work. I do not live by the mindset that the customer is always right, I never have because there are always situations where the customer is not right but in this case it is obvious that the work was terrible and should never have been put on her body in the first place. Out of consideration for my daughter and her personal business I will not post a picture online of this since she is incredibly upset over the fact that she now has to go pay someone else to get this monstrosity fixed but believe me, from someone who knows quite a bit about what is art and what a good tattoo looks like this is most certainly no where near the vicinity of a good tattoo. To add one more point if your questioning if Flesh did anything to rectify this at all, the answer is no. Leann the shop manager told us good luck finding somewhere else to fix it and sent us on our way. So please if you are another parent out there who is concerned for your child getting a tattoo, if the name Flesh comes up in the Fallston Maryland area do everything you can to steer your child or even yourself in a different direction. Not only are they no help what so ever in the case that one of their artists makes a mistake, they also employee "Artists" who have no clue what they are doing. And have no business behind the trigger of a tattoo gun. DANE!!!!!!!Final Analysis: Flesh Tattoo Company is not a reputable place to have a tattoo done. They have mounted their business on the shoulders of one artist who is impossible to get an appointment with. If he is not available you get passed off to an underling who I question has ever even painted with water colors, and you walk out of their shop with a permanent nightmare cut into your body. And when there's an issue you deal with a shop manager who has no personal or professional communication skills and really is just there for a paycheck and most certainly not there to hear or show any care towards the customers needs. Obviously when it comes to tattoos, you follow your artist. But it always helps when your artist chooses to work out of a clean location with reasonable prices. I have been following Angel for her entire career. This is a great location, not terribly far from 95, so it doesn't matter where you're coming from. She has her own private room (each of the artists do) and cleanliness is an extremely high standard.Once you choose your artist, you're sold on them. And I'm sold on Angel. Read Less

What can I say the body art here is amazing and their sterilization and quality is superb! Piercings, you might want to go somewhere else. I will definately tell people about this place. I went to quite a few tattoo shops before I decided on getting my work done at Flesh. This place ranks in tip top cleanliness and service. I couldn't believe it when I walked in the door. Alot of the other shops that I went to were pretty rude and not very helpful. I felt very comfortable here. There is no loud blaring music or mean people. Thier tattoo expierience is overwhelming and thier knowledge is incredible. They will tell you the truth about your questions.
