One of the most important things to me, if not the most important when getting a tattoo is the cleanliness of the shop. Secondly is the talent of the artist. My experience at Emmitsburg Tattoo Company was an all around great one!! The Shop is CLEAN, Don is super talented, accommodating and does INCREDIBLE work! He puts the time and effort into his artwork, which is what you want as a tattoo is permanent. Don did a sunflower design, which has been the most special of my tattoos this far -- it was a piece dedicated to my son who means the absolute world to me. I was very particular about the appearance of it, as it needed to be perfect. Don was patient and the outcome was a beautiful piece of artwork I love to show off! My sisters and I had been discussing getting matching "sister" tattoos for years (which would include a memorial piece for our dad to honor his Air Force service). We chose Emmitsburg Tattoo based on a family recommendation. We chose well. Don came on board and had the hard task of taking all our crazy ideas and reeling us in a little and was super patient thru the planning stages (and I know we couldn't have made it easy at times). When the artwork was finally approved and we went it for our tattoos, he was again so patient with us. I went to Don's shop in May for my very first tattoo. Of course I was nervous but he instantly answered any questions I had very professionally. I remember laughing and saying I didn't know how anyone would keep getting tattooed over and over because well it's not like it tickles lol. Anyway, almost three weeks later I walk in to have him draw up another tattoo for me. I walk in and we both chuckled as I said Hey I am back!!! I just had my second tattoo done by Don and I will... not go to anyone else. Not only is his work clean and professional, he is a wonderful person. I was a little nervous getting my second because it required a little more time and work but it came out perfect. I instantly felt comfortable and trust Don's honest opinion.
