I went here to get a piercing done my Alex. Just the regular shmegular nostril. Fun fact ,I had this done before in NYC and I swore I'd never do it ever again because it hurt so damn much. The pain ricocheted from my nose to my eyebrows and from my darn eyebrows to my jaw. Talk about hitting a nerve! Anyway fast forward ,the darn thing never healed and it fell out and never went back in. So bleh. Eons later i decided to get the other side pierced because,like really,getting a nose piercing on the left nostril gets in the way during kissy time (not that I'm kissing anyone). This place was highly rated and so was the young lass Alex. Bingo bango. She pierced my nose skins and it hurt but it didn't hurt ANYWHERE NEAR AS BAD AS THE FIRST TIME! It's been 2 days. I wanted my nose pierced but with the most inconspicuous jewelry possible to accommodate the healing process in professional settings and Alex did a wonderful job explaining my options. I've never had such a positive piercing experience! Alex couldn't get better - she's extremely informative and more than willing to guide you through different ideas. Myself, my friend and my (almost) 12 year old daughter went to Konkrete Jungle as walk-ins for piercings this past weekend. First of all, the general atmosphere was friendly and comfortable- not intimidating, like many tattoo/piercing places are. The piercer, Alex, was phenomenal!!! We got various ear piercings between the 3 of us (including the daith, helix, tragus and conch) and Alex was super friendly, explained everything and answered every single question we had in detail. We had to wait for a short time before she could help us because it was busy and she was super appreciative and apologetic, which was really nice considering we were walk-ins and expected to be at their mercy time-wise. I have had over 10 body piercings, and Alex was by far the most helpful/knowledgeable piercer I've ever been to. My daughter had her helix (cartilage) pierced about 6 months ago at the mall (terrible idea!!!) and we took it out because it wouldn't heal. We came here to have it done again and Alex explained why it most likely didn't heal the first time and told us where the best placement would be. She also used the appropriate length jewelry (swelling and too-short jewelry was the issue last time) and offered to change the jewelry free of charge if we have any issues with swelling and the jewelry being too short. I have gotten two of my tattoos here! I won't go anywhere else! Maddie did our mother daughter tattoos, and she did an amazing job! She also did my oldest daughters tattoo! I got a set of earlobe piercings with Alex, and had a great experience. She spent a lot of time making sure they were in the right place, and explaining the process to me. She was very upfront about the total price for the earrings and piercings, and gave some great advice about what would look good. She was patient with the minute adjustments regarding placement and was very helpful in making sure they were symmetrical and spaced evenly. This review is specifically about my experience with getting my cartilage pierced by Alex. I have gotten four cartilage piercings (two on each ear) from Alex. I got my first two cartilage piercings almost a year ago. The parlor is impressively clean and polished, and the employees are all very polite. Alex was very thorough in explaining the different kinds of earrings, how cartilage piercings differ from lobe piercings, and what to do/expect for aftercare. She was also extremely understanding of how anxious I was and didn't judge me for bringing a stuffed animal, haha! Today, almost a year later, I came back to get my third and fourth cartilage piercings. I no longer live in the area--I live a 2 hour drive away, but this parlor is still the best, most trustworthy place I know to get my cartilage pierced. Once again, Alex did a fantastic job. So I decided to come here after my friend said that she had come here for her nose piercing by Alex. I wanted to get something pierced so I decided to come as well. Walked in with no appointment and filled out the registration form. The staff was friendly and nothing short of being tattoo artist lol. Alex came out and asked what I wanted and went over the types of jewerly and we made a decision. She walked me to the back and showed me the materials and the pain level that I will experience also went over the after care. She gave me the option of doing one or both and I decided on both.Once the piercing was over I felt great. I didn't even bleed which was a plus. I got my first tattoo here almost 3 weeks ago. And James did an amazing job with it. He made me so comfortable that even though I could feel the pain he made it more bareable. First off, I called to ask a few questions about the piercing I wanted and whoever I spoke to was super helpful about when their piercer would be in and what to expect. When I came in to have 2 forward helix piercings, the piercer Alex was incredibly knowledgeable about different jewelry options (which was a specific concern of mine). Got my first tattoo done here yesterday and I'm obsessed. I got a paw print with an M for my dog Minnie who just passed away a couple weeks ago. Went in for a quick consult and the artist James came up with a idea and adjusted it to how I liked it I was out of the shop within 40 mins it was quick and easy. I came in today to get two sparrows done , I wanted something that represented my husband and my daughter and the sparrows seemed like a perfect fit for me. When I walked in I was a ball of nerves but it quickly faded away , Gino was at the front desk and was asking me about what I wanted and getting details about size , placement and colors then he went back to get the prints to give me an idea of the size and then he gave those to Chris. Chris came over and asked more about what I wanted and about the sizes and the placement, he was focused on getting the best result for me and we went a little different than my original plan but I was perfectly fine with that because I trust his expertise.  We went with a larger size and one on each shoulder to keep it more balanced. He put the outline on and made sure it was absolutely perfect. Chris was very attentive with making sure I was ok , especially since I told him I was worried about the possibility of getting light-headed . Once the outline was all finished I showed him my color swatches ( I used hair ties lol) and he was able to match my colors exactly. He showed me each bird as he was finished and I was blown away, he absolutely nailed the vision I had in my head with the colors and everything.My overall experience was just fantastic, everyone is so friendly and the atmosphere is very comfortable, they make you feel like you know them. Communication is big with me and I never felt like I was left out of any of the process and my questions were answered along the way. They don't even deserve a 1 star tbh. I went here about a year ago after meeting I believe the owner's wife maybe, at a tattoo convention. Couldn't think of the places name to write this review before. But I really liked her work so even though it was like 2 hours away from me I decided to go to have some work done. I told her what I wanted, I asked for a water color tattoo of lotus flowers with 2 koi fishes in a 2 specific colors going opposite directions. She told me how much it would cost me and how long it would be. So I get in her chair and she starts with the lotus, while doing my tattoo she's sitting there talking to her husband about plans and what time they needed to be at a certain place and what not. Not thinking anything of if I don't ask any questions of how much she's going to do. Almost 2 hours later she finishes with 1 lotus and I look in the mirror and it looks nothing like a water color, not colors added, leaves and petels all uneven and it's mostly all black. Giving the benefit of doubt I go lay back down, she then says oh I've got to get out of here were not going to be able to finish. Um excuse me you took $200 from me for this shit? I drove 2 hours here and you just tool another 2 hours for 1 lotus that doesn't even look like a lotus? I was so pissed. She says she'll make me another appointment once that heals a little to do more work on it. I leave and within 2 weeks, my whole side is red, hot, burning and full of puss. I go get it checked out by my doctor who says that it's full blown infected and I started getting boils. I only wish I had taken pictures to show how bad it got. I call her and email her no response. 2 days later I get a response back and she's basically saying that it's normal because of where it is and I probably didn't take care of it. I have 7 other tattoos. And not one of them ever have gotten like that not did an of the artists try to immediately ever try to push any kind of blame on me. Now I have this crap that doesn't even look like a flower that I spent $200 on and who knows how much I'll have to pay to get it removed. Needless to say I never went back and never will and wouldn't ever recommend anybody to go either. Read Less

I am 27 years old and have had my lobes pierced countless times with no success. Alex pierced me the other day, and I have not had any discharge from my piercing AT ALL. I asked for a sketch for something I had in mind, and they copy and pasted from google images.....literally one I've already seen online and then poorly cut and pasted them into one image. Alex is the BEST piercer I've ever been to! She educates you about your piercing, and goes through every step and explains why she does something the way she does beforehand (for instance, my piercing had to be a little slanted because of the way my body is, and she went through everything and told me why peircing it on an angle will be better than straight across). Took my 5 year old based on a recommendation from a friend, to get her ear lobes pierced. She was a tad bit intimidated by all the people around but everyone was extremely friendly to her, asking her questions and talked to us both every step of the way. She had a great personality and welcoming smile. Very clean establishment and very friendly staff. Mannnnn....where do I even begin to START!?!?!? This place is so DOPE! I had been looking around for a while for a good artist, after researching and asking around, I had made my final decision. When I went to the website it got my attention immediately scrolled down and watched the video(The owners story is soo cool thanks for being so real :)  and after watching that and looking through everyone's profile I said, " I found my guy" Felix. Went in and everyone was very friendly and down to earth. Told Felix what I had in mind and he immediately came up with all these ideas ( this is my short version of what happened, felix is the SHIT). Walked me through the process and I was able to make an appointment to come back. This was my first official tattoo and it had to be dope because it was something very special to me. Felix was mad COOL! Everyone in the shop is so nice, very personable and they all get along in there like family and seriously everyone in this shop KILLS it. This place is amazing, the bathroom is so cool too the floor has pennies all over it and decorated by some of the artist work in the shop. VERY clean SHop!! Felix coached me through the whole thing and for it being my first tattoo it was an amazing experience. I will definitely be back. Read Less

Clean,  neat store.  Took me in as a walk-in (I was getting a small tat and some writing on my neck).Their customer service is TOP NOTCH!  Most tattoo spots have shitty attitudes and act as though they're doing you a favor.   This place makes you feel right at home.   Talented artists as well (most importantly).I will definitely be back and definitely recommend this place to others.
