I went in, has three hours before work. Sat me down and tattooed me. It was a medium sized piece, leaning to the smaller end. Little last minute addition added no problem. And I love it. Both of my two tattoos are from this shop. And I love them. Wouldn't go anywhere else. I'm shy and kind of meek, but they are cool people. Nice respectful. Go! Also Jesse. The piercer. I've relocated back to Maryland and finding a dependable tattoo shop that I can confidently go to and recommend was on my list of things to do. Body Fx Tattoo is that new place for me. I've had a tattoo done by Gordon and a piercing by Jesse, nothing from Bobby yet; but they're masters of their craft and very clean. During my piercing, I noticed that Jesse was constantly aware of what his hands touched and would change his gloves to prevent any unnecessary exposure to extra ...germs. He was also very anal about placement of the piercings, which I prefer. I'd rather have an artist who is anal about getting it done correctly instead of one who wants it done fast. FYI you have no excuse of your piercing getting infected, he tells you what you need to know, makes you repeat lines to him, and is ready to answer any questions you have about a piercing, how it's healing, etc. As for the tattoo side of the house, I loved it. Went with my brother to make my appointment there, loved the work and time Gordon took to talk with my brother, pick his brain on what he wanted; he did the same for me. The work on my brother's shoulder and my forearm is fantastic. I had some scarring form on my tattoo which I haven't had before in any of my other tattoos, sent an email and got a response back from Gordon about it. I highly recommend this place. Came in today to get my nipples pierced, which naturally i was pretty nervous to do so. I met with the piercer named Jesse, and he was awesome! He made me feel completely comfortable and calm and kept it real. He happily answered every question i ask (i had a bunch) and made nice conversation to keep me calm. He took his sweet time with the marking and preparation, which i found relieving that he was paying such close attention to the positioning of where my piercings would be. He was cool, professional, and ultimately REASONABLY PRICED. Another shop i went to in Downtown Silver Spring wanted to charge $90+ $35 for each barbell (70 total) which would have brought the total to 160 while it only cost 110 (including jewelry) at Body FX. Jesse did my industrial piercing today and he did an excellent job. As a nurse, I notice stuff like glove changing and sterility, and he was great at that. He also was good at reminding me to breathe, and this was my first non-piercing-gun experience, so that helped. He also expertly removed my friend's infected dermal piercing. So my Fiancé  went here a few days ago to get his nose pierced for his bday. Upon walking in the guy at the front desk seemed as though he was bothered by our entry. (Like he didn't want to speak) but whatever. He got his nose pierced, it was a little wait but no problem. The problem came along when his jewelry came out one night. We couldn't get it back in after trying for an hour. He ended up using one of my old rings to keep it open. He gave the piecer a call after the 4th of July weekend and told him what happened. The guys response was "Just jam it in" .... Uhhhh what ?! I don't even see how this guy thought that would be a good idea or better yet a professional response. My fiancé ended up going to Bears Den on 40 where we got someone to give him a new ring and put it in for him also. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Really like this place. They have a great little lobby with couches and tattoo samples. They sell jewelry and cigars as well. I got my Monroe done here, I haven't gotten a tattoo done here though. My brother Sean was the first to get a tattoo here and then when he died myself and my family all when out and got memorial tattoo's. They do some of the most amazing work i've ever seen. They have a whole room dedicated to artwork and all their rooms are completely private or open to the public depending on what you wish.
