Went in for a nose piercing on 2/27/18. The lady at the desk asked if I wanted a hoop or a stud. I asked for a small stud, so imagine my surprise when I open my eyes and there is a hoop in my nose. She struggled to remove the hoop causing pain and bleeding and when I told her to stop and just give me my money back she threw a tantrum, said she wasn't refunding my money and tries to kick me out of the shop. She then threw a tantrum and accused me of "being mean to her" and cried. Luckily, cooler heads prevailed and an older gentleman corrected Jessie's mistake. I gave the place a 2 star rating because the gentleman did correct the mistake. But I definitely will never come back to this shop solely on the experience with Jessie. For future, when you make a mistake...apologize. If she had started out by apologizing instead of throwing out lies that I "asked for a small hoop" and "I'm sticking a needle in you of course it hurt". Or simply showing a person the jewelry you plan on putting in them before you do it, then maybe things could have gone differently. I think the tattoo artists seemed nice and friendly, but I would definitely not come here for a piercing. Mind you, this was not my first piercing either, so I'm no rookie. Read Less

I've gone to this place for years and they've always been pretty reliable. Only a few times have I gone in and they not have the jewelry I was looking for which is nbd. Gabby has helped with changing my tongue web piercing multiple times and does a great job! Would always go to her if you have the option. Read Less

5 stars is the max you can give, but it's a lot better. Ricky is the tattoo artist thats taking care of me. Can't say enough good things about him. The ladies in the front are super friendly and helpfull. Highly recommend you come here and see what they can do for you. Read Less

I came in to get a small heart tattoo on my hand. I was told that since it was on the hand that touch ups weren't free and I'd have to sign a disclaimer which was fine. I was charged the shop minimum which is $45 plus a $3 charge for using card. After signing the disclaimer and paying for the tattoo I met with the artist who brought over the paper with the heart on it. It was the size of a quarter which is too big for the side of my finger. I told him it was too big and he was very reluctant to make it smaller but he did 2 more times when he came back with a heart the size of a dime which is still too big for my finger so I asked to draw it myself the size I wanted. He told me he wasn't going to do it that small and wouldn't tattoo my finger since it would fade quickly. If I signed the disclaimer I should be able to get the size and wherever I wanted my tattoo. After he told me he wasn't going to do it for me I decided that this wasn't the place for me so I wanted a refund. They only refunded me the $45 so I was out $3 for nothing. I go to ink wizard tatto like 3 weeks ago and make an appointment to get half sleeve background done last tuesday at 630 pm. While i was there making the appointment the guy took pictures of my arm and said. Oh yea i can fill camoflage in behind your tattoo pay a 50 dollar deposit n make an appointment n we will get it done. So I did. I start driving to my app. Tuesday evening n get a call at 515 pm. Oh mr maxwell i have to reschedule your appointment because i double booked ...the evening up. I told them i made my appointment two weeks prior for that evening and that was unacceptable. I asked why such a lat notice. No answer. I asked for my 50 dollar deposit back. Nope cannot have it. So i had to make an appointment for 1 o clock today and take a half of a day off of work or wait until he got back from vacation in another week or two. I get there today and ended up sitting until 130 before he came down. I get up in his tattoo room and hes telling after he stuck the outline ink on me. " i dont think this is a good idea. Its not gonna look good" i told him "when i came in and you took pictures of my arm you thought it was a good idea and pay you to draw it up??? After all the bullshit i went through they kept my money and said not gonna work. I will never go back there and wouldnt advise anybody too. I told him he was welcome for the 50 dollars. Fucking joke. A good artist wouldnt have a problem doing it. Just my luck i come somewhere thats a joke, cost me 50 dollars and waisted two weeks of my life. This is what my arm looks like as i leave this place. Nothing in this paragraph is the honest to god truth and I wll never go back. I could care less about the 50 dollars. I got a nose piercing done 10 months ago from today at the Ink Wizard Clinton MD shop that went horribly wrong. The blonde lady that did my piercing seemed to be an amateur. I asked if she had done piercings before and she replied she had done several piercings. In one session, she pierced my nose three times. That is three times the pain and my nose was bloodied! I would say that she was nice and apologized for it. I kept it on for 2 more months, in the hopes that it would heal. It did not. I discovered that the piercing was on too tight. I was forming a painful bump on the part of my nose that was pierced and I finally removed it by a nail clipper. The piercing was moderately expensive and done poorly. It just seems that this shop takes any person that claims to be a piercer off the streets. Do not come here for piercings! Read Less

I gave this place a few chances to change my mind, which was a huge mistake. The first time at Ink Wizard, I went in to get my nipples pierced. The girl was very friendly and I went ahead and approved the marks she made before piercing my nipple. She completely missed the exit mark and did not fix it when I confronted her, she said it was fine. I left with a crooked nipple piercing that I'm not too happy with. I went ahead and called it a bad day and went in months later to get my nose pierced. This was a different piercer and I thought I was in good hands. Once again, I approved the mark and she went to pierce my nose. She missed completely, piercing the rim of my nostril. She at least had the decency to fix this and repierce, but I wasn't too enthused about having to be pricked twice in a day. She was very apologetic and felt terrible, which I appreciated. I went in a couple weeks ago to give them yet another chance, because let's face it, they're really nice people. I got my belly button pierced and shockingly enough, that too was botched. It's way too far up my stomach and doesn't touch my belly button. I'm not sure how that one was messed up. I've never had a tattoo from here, so I can't judge that part of the business.The piercing girls are so friendly and nice, but more training would help so these mistakes aren't as common. I come to get my jewelry changed out here as well and they are always gentle and fast. Couldn't say better things about my experiences here! I went in for a walk-in and had an amazing experience. I just got my septum pierced, and was in there for less than 20 minutes. Samantha was really fantastic and took her time placing the needle correctly so the jewelry sits straight. I would definitely go back for more! 10/10 would recommend! Read Less

Being new to the Southern Maryland area my wife, our two children, and I stopped by Ink Wizard Tattoo Inc as I am into getting tattoos. Upon pulling into the gravel parking lot of their California, Maryland location two of the tattooist were outside smoking. As we proceeded into the tattoo parlor one of the tattooist later identified as Chris was busy scraping gum off of his shoe. Neither of them reated us. My first impression of the tattoo parlor was that is was a clean environment which is indicative of most likely being acceptic.The parlor manager was initially a very polite young man. My wife was watching our two children who were harmlessly looking at flash with no risk of any damage or them being injured when the parlor manager requested that our children do not touch anything. I then inquired as to who the best cover up tattooist was and the parlor manager suggested Chris. He had to go outside to get Chris. Chris came in looked at my tattoo and gave me a price quote. I was ready to go forward with having the cover-up done right there and then. However, Chris and the other tattooist said they only do appointments resulting in me leaving a deposit and making an appointment. Chris said he was going to draw up a very detailed piece based on what he would need to do to fix the current tattoo.When I arrived at my appointment Chris did not have anything prepared accept two small black birds. He didn't even use them while he worked on my tattoo whith the completed results not being what we agreed upon. As a result of his botched up tattooing I am currently going through tattoo removal.Chris not only worsened my existing tattoo, but he charged me more than what he quoted for a lot less work. In addition to everything I was never given a military discount even after I requested such!I would never patronize Ink Wizard Tattoo Inc again and at the same time would caution anyone considering them for tattoo work or piercing's! I think this place is great. I have gotten my conch pierced here by Natalie, and she did an awesome job, and I LOVE it!!!!! I also got an awesome tattoo from Chris, who also gave my husband a great tattoo awhile back. Anyway- It's a great business and a great place to get piercings/tattoos done. I find that the (unwanted) pressure that I seem to feel in most tattoo shops is non-existent at Ink Wizard. It's a relaxing atmosphere. I recommend it! Read Less
