Went in to get a hoop took out of my nose that was stuck because the ball fell off and Josh helped me. He took the stuck piercing out in no time,with no pain. He then proceeded to insert a new stud free of charge. Not to mention he took the other piercing out free of charge. I tried to tip him but he refused. Went here yesterday with my little cousin to get her first tattoo, she showed one of the men a picture of the tattoo she wanted and he said it would be $100 when she asked why so much for a 4inch tattoo he explained because of the detail within the flowers she wanted which was reasonable. He had the female artist do the tattoo because apparently it was "more her style" and from the moment this girl started dealing with us she had an attitude. You could tell she was getting annoyed with all the questions being asked mind you this was her first tattoo there will be questions. She also had her pay up front in full for the tattoo which I've never heard of in my life paying in full upfront before you know that your tattoo is going to look like. She stenciled on her what she thought would look good and got frustrated when told that's not what she wanted and had to wipe off and draw again. So at the end of the tattoo my cousin had said she thought there would be more detail like the picture and the response she got was " the more detail there is it'll look bad in 5 years " mind you the reason it was so expensive was because "there was a lot of detail" in the flowers. But the tattoo was a cartoon new school when my cousin was shooting for realism. My cousin likes the tattoo but it's not what she wanted at all. And on top of everything there was no explanation of after care just a "enjoy the rest of your weekend" I guess she assumed a 16 year old with her first tattoo was familiar with aftercare of a tattoo. This was a long rant but this was a bad experience here and I've dealt with a lot of tattoo shops because this is not my first time around and this was my first bad experience in one. Love this place! Had a few tattoos done in one sitting, about ten-years-ago. Rob was super-cool, friendly, and definitely knows his trade. He wasn't the actual artist who did my ink, but from the time I made my appointment over-the-phone, 'til the minute I walked out the door, he was very professional. I think the artist who did my ink, was named Chris??? I could be wrong, been a while now. But, I couldn't be happier! Great atmosphere, and awesome staff! Got my nipples pierced here about a year and a half ago. The staff was very professional and helpful, they made me feel comfortable. They have great prices compared to Virginia. They do not even deserve a star. Went and set up my tattoo, paid Morpheous he did the outline and said he needed me to come back for shading because he had low blood sugar and we already worked for 3 hi ours. I was okay with that until I called the next day to set up my ending and he said I needed to wait for the outline to heal. Kept in touch for three weeks by text while healing, day I asked for an appointment for shading he started giving me the run around. Called for owner and there was nothing he could do, yeah right. Come to find out dude that did my work no longer worked there. Been hitting him up by text and Facebook and he still is not scheduling me. American tattoo should stand behind this and finish my work cause someone got paid and my tat isn't finished!!!! Read Less

i have gotten 3 tattos from this place and i never once had any problems as far as service. the artists there are way cool and will do custom designs but if its any tattoo that requires alot of detail you must schedule an appointment. Read Less
