Do not and I mean DO NOT get a piercing done here. I didn't even want to give this place one star but yelp made me. I got my ears pierced here about a year ago and from the beginning I had lots of pain. I washed the piercing everyday, like I was supposed to and I kept getting tiny red bumps by the hole but I just kept cleaning my ears like I was supposed to until I tried to take the earring out, but couldn't. I had to go to urgent care to have them remove the earring and drain the infected red bump. Since then, I have had both of my ears lanced at least three times each. Now, because of the infection, I have to get part of my ear lobe removed on both of my ears because the infection refuses to go away. I STRONGLY suggest never getting a piercing done here, unless you like the look of messed up earlobes. Read Less

I had gotten my nose pierced completely wrong the day previous to my visit and was absolutely freaking out; i woke up the next morning with the stud sticking almost all the way out of my nose. I called Tantric Tattoo to see what i should do for my piercing and I was told I could come in and they would be able to take a look at it. She completely repierced my nose and put an actual nose stud in for me; she told me exactly what she was doing the entire time and was very nice. For years, I knew I wanted to create a new tattoo starting on my hip and winding up my side. I just couldn't think of that perfect design. Then one day, it hit me. Travel! I love to travel and see as much of this beautiful planet as I'm able. Why not tell the story of both my general love for it as well as places I've been (and not been yet)?I came up with all kinds of images such as flags, currency, compasses, geo coordinates, etc. I've never had such a large tattoo done before, so I wasn't sure what to expect in the week leading up to it. Was I supposed to see a sketch? Tina let me know her plan in that it wouldn't be a single sketch for this particular piece, but several pieces that we'd put together like a puzzle. Exciting!In all, it took 3 sessions, all about 2-3 hours each. Some of that time was placing pieces, re-drawing small items, hand-drawing directly onto me, etc. I loved her creation and I loved how it developed with each session. Each and every piece has a meaning from coordinates to special places to the bottle of sand and shells.Tina is a wonderful artist that truly cares for others. She can also be spicy and witty and that made me feel really comfortable with her. There was no need to constantly talk during sessions...it was always a calming silence when she was too focused outlining to chat. However, she knowingly got me talking to help distract me from some extra uncomfortable areas. I have been getting work done at Tantric Tattoo since 2012.  I found them when I was looking for someone to pierce our baby's ears (after his pediatric practice refused though they had been fine with doing this for his sister when she was a baby).  Tina was great with our boy.  As someone who already had tattoos and was looking to get more, I also talked to her about her work and really liked her style.  Since then she has developed and executed several pieces and hopefully there will be many more.  Tina is patient, experienced, and has a great eye.  Her practices are clean and consistent.  You will not only be happy with your finished piece, but you will be happy with the process to get you there.  In addition, I had my snake bite piercing done by Tina to equally good results.  So whether you are looking to become (more) shiny or (more) painted, Tantric Tattoo is the place to go. I went back to have the original tattoo redone, and she was able to give me the tatt I really wanted the first time. Above and beyond every expectation. **Disclaimer: This is only for body piercings**I went here summer of 2013 to get a vch piercing. I should've run out of there when the the piercer/owner didn't know what vch stood for, but I just figured that she wasn't familiar with the modern term. Anyway, the place was clean and the piercing area had a curtain in place of a door. The piercing was quick and I was told to not be alarmed if I felt a little "tingly" down there while walking. I never felt a thing. Turns out that the piercing was not properly placed. The whole point of a vch piercing is so that the jewelry stimulates the area; the piercing wasn't positioned to do that. After doing more research, I contacted Elayne Angel and she confirmed that my piercing was improperly placed. I ended up taking it out.
