Called the day before was told that walk ins were welcome and appointments were not accepted on weekends , arrived as the first customer and the owner stayed on the phone, never greeted me nor my mom. The guy who worked up front didn't have much knowledge about tattoos. And was told that I would have to make an appointment to get Rafael to do the tattoo, even though I was advised otherwise the day before.I waited only to be told the other artists weren't there yet. I try to support black businesses, however, in this case, due to unprofessionalism I took my business elsewhere and received a high quality performance as well as excellent customer service. 1.) Our artist used speedstick deodorant to apply the stencil, and used the same deodorant stick on me and my friend, so has most likely used it on everyone else. 2.) He uses ink that is low-quality. 3.) When my friend asked for type-writer font, the artist freehanded his own font and used that instead. 4.) The artist added his own details to the very simple and specific tattoo, without asking permission or saying anything in advance. 5.) When we decided not to pay $100.00 for a small quote and a pine tree, he offered to do it for $60. He then continued to talk about how bad my friends other tattoos looked, while doing the quote tattoo. Told my friend that it looked like an apprentice did his other tattoos and that he should let him fix them. 6.) An apprentice (I assume) also joined in on bashing my friends tattoos. 7.) I asked for a skull tattoo, gave a picture and was given a freehanded skull that was much simpler and less detailed than the picture. 8.) After finishing the artist scotchtaped paper towels over my friends tattoo, then told me I didn't have to cover mine because it was so small. I don't hate the staff, I love some of them. But some techniques should be left in the amateur phase. I don't recommend this place for tattoos. I won't be going back, and I would only recommend going if you know the artist you'll be working with. Read Less

I went in to get a memorial tattoo for the harvest 91 incident and Chris did an amazing job. This was my second tattoo and he did such a great job that I couldn't stop looking at my arm. Definitely will go back and recommend the place. Read Less

After being away for a few years this place is a wonderful constant. So many things I look forward to on my visits.. This place is top of the list... I bring Raphael and Timmy all my mistakes I'm just not happy with.(other shops I try to have hope in that are in the state I currently live in.) Went in for my first tattoo (I’m a grandmother, but getting one was on my bucket list). Boosie created the most beautiful, elegant, vibrantly colored dove holding an olive branch on my wrist. They have an artist that is very good at portraits but that's about all they have going for them. Of course this was a year ago, and I don't know if there are new artists, but besides that one artist the scrapbooks I looked in were just slightly better than tattoos done is most people's living rooms.
