Went in to Forbidden Art with a group of about 5 people. The going in game plan was to get 3 tattoos. One of my friends got his done, and is happy with it, so I'll speak to my experience. My wife was looking to get a rose tattoo on her foot, and after looking through some books decided on one to get. She paid $120, and the artist sketched the tattoo out and put it on her foot. All was well up to this point. She then decided that, while she liked the design, she wanted to wait until both her and I could get one at the same time during an upcoming trip to Florida. No problem, we complimented the artist on his work, and explained the situation. It devolved from there. The artist got slightly hostile, pointed towards the 'no refunds sign' and wouldn't hear any of it. 'You paid for a tattoo, you get a tattoo.' was what he told us.A manager stepped in (the owners son) and was very apologetic. We exchanged info, and he told me he didn't know how to work the credit card machine, but he'd get us a refund. (I would have been happy tipping the artist $20 for his time).I left feeling like management would (maybe?) do the right thing.2 weeks later, I've spoken with the son (who still didn't know how to issue a refund) as well as the owner, his father (who said he'd have to look at the books) and have not heard back from either. It's a shame, we liked their work, and they came across as wanting to do right by the customer, but honestly I think they'd rather have the $120 than a good reputation or a repeat customer.
