I would have given 0 star to this tattoo parlor... I had a terrible experience with this shop, at the exception of 2 employees: DOMINIQUE & TWIGGY (our tattoo artist). Here is the reason why for those of you interested in reading more: My girlfriend & I were on vacation for Memorial Day weekend 2018 in New Orleans (for the first time) and we had such a good stay we decided to get a tattoo. It was my 1st time getting one, and we selected this shop because it had good reviews on Yelp, and because my girl & I liked the work of the first tattoo artist we had an appointment with. After making an appointment over the phone, paying $120 deposit (for the two of us) and sending emails to the staff (so the artist would get prepared), we showed up to the shop the next day. Our meeting with the 1st tattoo artist, was a total disaster: She had no clue about the tattoos we wanted, was totally unprepared, asked my girlfriend to go online to purchase the rights for the font she wanted to use, couldn't download the file on her computer, and after 15min of "trying", she finally told her she couldn't do it. As for me, I wanted at first a very specific type of Fleur de Lis, about an inch and a half on my wrist. I had sent 24h in advance 2 exemples, and I was expecting her to come up with maybe 1 or 2 ideas of hers, since her work on Instagram looked very creative. When I talked to her, she said she couldn't give too much details to the tattoo because it was too small. She told me to look in their books, and choose "one of their million Fleur de Lis". But no, sorry, I refuse to tattoo on my body a common Fleur de Lis permanently, especially for my first time, knowing that what I was looking for was an ORIGINAL piece. She replied that they wouldn't not refund my $60 deposit! Dominique assisted to the "scene", and immediately realized what was going on. She talked to my girlfriend, and offered for her another tattoo artist whom she believed, would be more of a match. She also offered me to give me a refund if, after coming back again the same night with my girlfriend, I wouldn't vibe with the new tattoo artist. It's when we came back a few hours after that we met Twiggy. He told us he was still fairly new in the shop. He welcomed us all prepared, had the font my girl was dreaming of, and executed the tattoo so well, he inspired me to get one for myself! I came back an hour after with a different tattoo in mind, and I'm happy to see it today, exactly how I wanted on my left wrist, and both, my girlfriend & I would come back again, ONLY IF, we get Dominique & Twiggy to assist us. The impression that this shop left me is that they only care about money, and they don't take the time to offer a real personalised experience to their customers. Today, I received an email from one of their employees telling me my tattoo ideas were too detailed for the size I wanted! -Guys: YOU ARE 48H TOO LATE!!!!! That means to me they don't even take the time to read the date & time on the email you send them! Seriously... that's SCARY to me, would you wanna get a permanent tattoo on your body from a staff like that? DOMINIQUE & TWIGGY: You are both AMAZING people and employees, both real GEMS in this shop!
