Had to come in here last minute to get a new nose ring. It was the closest place to where I was staying so I decided to go here despite some bad reviews. I can honestly say I would never come back...and I wouldn't recommend anyone to come here either. The customer service was absolutely terrible. I walked in and the guy behind the counter was texting. I waited a few minutes and asked who I needed to talk to about getting a new nose ring. He rudely said it was him and to hang on as he continued to text. He looked up and asked me what I needed. He told me how much the ring was and if I needed him to put it in it was an extra $5. I asked what kind of ring it was so I knew if I would be able to put it in. He said if he told me he would have to charge me $5. I rolled my eyes and told him to just put it in. He finally sat me down in a chair and started looking for a nose ring. He couldn't find them and started swearing and telling me how he fired the girl that worked there this morning because she couldn't put anything in the right places. He went in to more details about the reasons he fired her...which really shouldn't have been brought up with customers. When he finally found one he basically manhandled my face to get it in. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Not only did Jay, the "tattoo artist" completely mess up my and my friends tattoos (blown out lines) now I have to pay additional services to get this tattoo removed because he did not do it correctly. Quite frankly, this individual might have been drunk when tattooing both my and my friend because he smelt of booze and was sweating purposely, while doing a small finger tattoo and a star constellation. Pretty sure that is illegal....Upon bringing to his attention (Jay) the permanent damage he did to both of us, I was completely disrespected called a 'whore, bitch, stupid" amongst other things. I don't know who the owner of this shop is, but they should be aware of the kind of people working for them. Unbeknownst to be, Jay is a pervert who sexually harasses both clients and former employees (found this out after the fact I already got tattooed). I would have never in a million years allowed an individual with such awful energy to touch my skin. I think it's vile that this place employs people such as Jay. I even reached out to the shop itself, but no response. They just don't care. With that being said, don't waste your time with this place and they are reported to the BBB because no other individual should have to go through what my friend and I experienced with this shop and this "tattoo artist, Jay." First... Let me start by saying I love my tattoo... And my tattoo artist Glair (hope I spelled that right) was amazing!!! But everything else, customer service wise was piss poor... Here goes... I went in at about 11:45am... A couple came in about a minute or so after me... The tattoo artist, Jay, went to them first... They were getting an extensive tattoo so I made an appointment to come back at 4pm and put down a $20 deposit that was non refundable but goes towards the tattoo... Mine was supposed to be $100... Come back at 4pm... Jay is still working on the male part of the couple that was on earlier... He first insist my appt was at 3:30 and I was late... Oh but a reciepts cards... I give the receptionist, Deanna I believe, my card... She gives it to him... He kepts the card and pretty says I have to come back later... At 6:30 to be exact... Because that is when he would be done with the current tattoo... Which, might I add, he didn't even start until I walked in at 4 for my APPOINTMENT... DeAnna then tells me that the night crew comes in at 5pm and someone else could do my tattoo at that time... I come back 5pm... There is now a new receptionist, Rachel, with the pink hair... Not to be confused with the tattoo artist Rachel... She tells me that the night crew doesn't come in until 7 and she doesn't know why anyone would tell me 5pm... So at this point I am done with this and do not want to be serviced here... I ask for my deposit back... They say it is not possible even though they messed up twice... But only because they immediately drop the money in a safe when they get it... Remember that statement, it's important... So anyway... They can't accommodate me at 5pm... They say I can come back at 6:30 when Jay is done the person he was supposed to be done at 4... Or make an appt for the next day... I have no options at this point because the money I paid for my appt is "in the safe"... So I leave with the intent to come back AGAIN at 6:30... And I do... Only to find what Jay still working on the tattoo from 1130AM... Rachel with the pink hair starts my paperwork only after Jay if she should to which Jay replies "I guess... Tell her she can take her time though..." I pause before starting my paperwork and say to Rachel with the pink hair "What did he just say?!?" She says "Oh he was just being silly..." How cute... A half hour passes... Jay is still at work on a tattoo that cost more than the one I made an appt for so I get it... I he would not have touched my body at this point anyway... I did not want his energy on my... He was a jerk... Anyway... Night shift gets there... Jay tells Glair the situation... THEN... Pulls my $20 deposit that was in the impenetrable safe from his wallet and gives it to Glair... My experience was beautiful from that point... But I would never go there again... Because the customer service was awful...*I apologize for the typos... And I dare Jay or Rachel with the pink hair or Deanna with the face tattoos to say I was never there as I've seen on other one star ratings of this shop... Read Less

Extremely over priced for a pretty shitty job. I felt rushed. I tried to explain that I wanted the snake (venom) bites and not snake eyes but they gave me snake eyes instead. Crooked at that. Not like it's something you can just RE DO. !!! So I was going to see how it turned out and today the tongue ring just fell out on its own. I would go somewhere else... Came home in with sister on Saturday night at like 3am and the place was buzzing. We spoke with Ya Ya and Erika abt ink deeds and the artists. They were both sweet and super helpful. Made us feel very welcomed. Then we meet with Sean, who was to be the artist. I was so pleased at the way Sean handled my ideas and entangled his own expertise into it all. Together we came up with a beautiful magnolia flower, and it ended up taking longer than we both expected, but it was well worth it. The entire crew there is so much fun and easy going. Truly terrible service. The tattoo artist tried to charge a final price of  $120 for Roman numeral numbers in the inside of a finger. He first stated $80 then $100. What a joke. Ok so closest Tattoo parlor to Bourbon, on a major street (Canal), sounds perfect right? In town, wanted to get a couple tattoos, they quote me make copies of my ID and have me sign all the documents, but when I go to pay they say cash only! Seriously? I'm giving this place 5 stars because it's clean, the workers give proper and very detailed instructions, and it's very professional.When you go to places like this I usually compare them to shops down by the village where the workers just up the prices and don't care about your body once you leave their shop. NOT HERE! The piercer who did my cousin's boobs went step by step through everything. He was so patient and thorough I was completely surprised. Really disappointed. Came in at 2 pm made an appointment for the same day at 9 pm AND left a deposit. Got there at 9 pm and Tony said he had taken someone else but would get to us in 30 minutes. Left and came back at 9:40 pm and waited until 10. Tony was still doing someone else's tattoos. They didn't want to give me a refund for the deposit even though I no longer wanted to wait. Stopped in yesterday because my husband and I were both wanting new tats. Tony was our artist, and did an awesome job. My husband had an existing outline of his family crest on his back that Tony finished beautifully with shading and color. I had a picture of a fleur-de-lis and an idea of what I wanted, and Tony came up with an amazing original design for me. He was super cool, had a light hand, and stayed well past closing time to complete both pieces. I've been looking for a new artist for a while, and even though I don't live in NOLA, I know I found my guy! I got my ear pierced last week, I waited for couple of days to allow them to heal before I write my review.The girl who did my piercing is very friendly, and she was patient enough to write down the directions to take care of the new piercing. Came here while in town for Essence. I already had my nose pierced and it had healed so I was looking for a hoop. The guy who was there was a tattoo artist and the piercer was away at lunch. I asked for a hoop and he went and found a random one and sold to me for $10. He told me I could put it in myself. Silly me got excited and purchased it and walked out of the store. A strange feeling set in and I began to look at it. It seemed to big to go through my piercing. So we went back. When we came back in the piercer was there and she offered to exchange and put it in for me if I waited around. It took her about 10 minutes to get it in. While I was there I overheard her offering free services to someone because she was 'new at this and it would help her get experience while giving the customer a discount'. I'm guessing you can imagine the look of horror on my face, right? Yeah. It was my fault though. In trying to be so anxious to get it I failed to do half as much research as I did for my initial piercing. Now it looks great and all but in order to get it in, she had to bend the metal with some pliers while it was in my nose. Yeah, it was no fun sitting there clenched up hoping this woman didn't rip my piercing. It was a bit snug at first but now its fine. Only thing is with the way she did it, I'm now unable to turn it in my nose and have to go see if I need it repierced, as it may have closed up on the inside between the two ends of the hoop. I don't regret the ring because it was what I wanted, but I should've found someone and somewhere else.
