The people at AAA Tattoo were professional from the start of the process. I set my appointment up with Terry Grow ahead of time, he was prompt in responding and working with me to fit the session into my schedule. His work is outstanding, so plan ahead as he stays booked up at least a month out. While being tattooed by Terry, Shane Blanco was tattooing another client, his work was on point that day too. While I was not being tattooed by Shane, I would definitely get tattooed by him, he's an interesting guy that has an amazing array of nicknames. I visited Triple A on July 3 and I decided last minute I would be getting my first tattoo. I chose a simple Capricorn glyph symbol then decided to go with a glyph including brushstrokes on my wrist. I had a horrible infection from piercings done at a tattoo expo in Florida. It was a hospital grade infection. The barbells were too small and embedded. They removed the barbells gently and put longer barbells in before I went to the doctor. Removing the jewelry entirely would have made drainage harder. Triple A is by far my favorite shop in Lafayette. I always always recommend it to those who ask my opinion. The staff is so nice and I felt very comfortable. Terry Grow has done all of my tattoos except one and I am in love with all of them. Such clean line work and amazing shading. I also like that he takes a picture and makes it into his own. I got my VCH piercing done here about ten months ago.The girl was nice enough, the place was nice and clean and they were very professional. I got my piercing and walked out satisfied. No infections and the placing of it seemed fine.Fast forward a month or two and I noticed it was becoming a bit shallow or getting stretched out but I ignored it. Around the 9th month having it, it had stretched out so badly I feared it would tear the last tiny bit of skin holding it in so I removed it. About two months ago I got it redone by a professional here in California, She took one look at the jewelry used and was kind of shocked. The diameter was too large and too long (giving it space to move around and stretch my skin), and is externally threaded. In all, cheap jewelry.I got it redone in the correct place, with quality, internally threaded jewelry. It still looks perfect and she only charged me 80. I'd say AAA step up their piercing game and get better jewelry and better train their staff on the subject. Read Less
