This is a response to the grammatical mess below. I have been a customer at Hammond City for YEARS and have received nothing but excellent service! Red is the manager and piercer and is one of the nicest, well spoken professionals out there! It is common for a business to refuse bathroom services to non customers (ever been to new orleans?) Due to the lack of writing comprehension I don't understand why she left so angry? Racial slurs? I doubt it. Everyone at Hammond City is very professional and educated regarding their careers. I went to check on a price for a tattoo and I must say WORST SERVICE EVER!!! So rude my friend walked in ahead of me to go to the restroom and immediately it was a attitude asking if she was a customer, she explained her friend was coming in and as im approach I see her asking can I just go to the restroom then walked out the building upset and angry so I asked the man working what was the problem he replied "same thing as you, your attitude" then I proceeded in telling him I just got off the phone with you and was coming for a tattoo, but I will not get any work done here and as I went to walk out in a smart attitude he asked oh you don't still want it. UMM NOO!! I could hear remarks being made so when I made it to the door in anger put my middle finger up as the door closes I hear him yell F**k YOU BI**H!! I chose to be the bigger person and leave it alone. I went to this place with my two friends to watch them get tattoos. It was one of my friends first time and the other friend knew Anne was really good at what she did. Although I did not get a tattoo I now know who I want to give me my first tattoo. She was very fast and extremely friendly. Both the tattoos she did looked fantastic. Sweet Ann did my tattoo. She was very fast, excellent and sweet, just like her name!!! I'd recommend anyone to go to her. She told me how to take care of my tattoo correctly and it healed in only a few days! She was very funny and talkative. She didnt make it awkward or uncomfortable. I went into Hammond City Tattoo thinking about possibly getting a tattoo. I walked up to the counter and was immediately bombarded with paperwork. The people behind the counter were very pushy and made me very uncomfortable. I could see that the artists did incredible work, but because it was my first tattoo I wanted to know for sure that I really wanted it. I was not ready to fill out paperwork. The girl kept on insisting that I fill it out though. There was also a guy that was pushing me to get the tattoo. I tried explaining to them that it was my first one and i never wanted to regret it, but it seemed like the guy behind the counter was more interested in my money than my emotion behind the idea of the tattoo. I wish I could have talked to one of the artists because the two guys in there were doing great work and I would have loved to have one of them do my tattoo. I ended leaving because the counter people didn't give me enough time to think about what I wanted. So overall, amazingly talented artists, but very very pushy counter people. Read Less

I was pretty impressed by this tattoo shop. A few tattoo shops Ive visited for prices were not very, well, appealing. The main response I got from artists were that the drawing I had for the tattoo (not perfect but close enough, and I wanted a few adjustments by more "seasoned" artists) had to be EXACTLY what I wanted, and could not give me an estimate except an hourly rate, which I'm not to fond of. THIS PLACE NEEDS HELP. I WENT IN TO GET A TAT ON MY LEG PAID FOR IT. THE GUY TOOK SO LONG ON THE OUTLINE HE DID NOT GET TO FINISH IT. HE TOLD ME TO COME BACK AND HE WOULD FINISH IT FOR FREE. SO WHEN I WENT BACK IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS AFTER IT ALL HEALED, HE WAS NO LONGER THERE (JAIL I THINK) SO I GOT A PRICE FROM ANOTHER ARTIST TO FINISH IT. SHE SEEMED REALLY NICE AT FIRST. BUT WHEN I WENT IN TO GET IT DONE, SHE ACTED LIKE I WAS TOO MUCH TROUBLE. SHE KELPT ON SAYING THAT SHE WOULD NEVER AGAIN DO THIS MUCH WORK FOR THIS CHEAP AGAIN. AND HOW I WAS GETTING A FANTASTIC DEAL. IF I WANT VERBALE ABUSE I'LL STAY HOME WITH THE WIFE AND KIDS!!! LOLALL SHE TALKED ABOUT WAS HOW BAD HER LIFE WAS, KIDS, BILLS, & AND PERSONAL PROBLEMS.
