I am "all tatted up" as people say, but went through a dry spell of about two years of no new work. I had plenty of stuff planned, but no shop I felt comfortable at after the last one I frequented closed. I researched and looked through the portfolios from a lot of places in the city. Finally my husband booked me a slot at Imperial after he scouted it out.I went in on a Tuesday with a basic line drawing and by Thursday had a custom, full-color, ankle-to-knee panel on my calf. I've waited a month at other places for an appointment, so I was really happy to get in so fast.Ryan was outstanding. He worked quickly, stayed very professional, and seemed to be able to read my mind when it came to color and fill work that wasn't on the original line art.The prices, very reasonable, are quoted and paid up front, so cigarette breaks, phones calls, or consulting with other clients don't figure in to the price like some other places. In fact, Ryan didn't take any breaks while he worked on my leg. Many people who've seen it think I did multiple sittings. Nope, done in one. Also, this has been one of the easiest healing jobs I've had.The shop itself is no frills--don't go if you are looking for decor, hipster "art," or posh seating. Old concert posters and flash cover the walls. The stairwell leading up is dark, but the shop is clean and uncluttered. The front-of-the-house guy is efficient, if a little brusque, but know what you want and you'll be fine. Read Less
