For a place of such high prestige, these guys are very stuck up. I went in to add to an existing small tattoo that was not done very well. I wanted to see if maybe he could correct it but he gave it a face and said that "the lines were to uneven to fix so it would be to hard to match" with a really rude attitude. The only reason why he said that was because there was 45 minutes till close and it wasn't a big enough tattoo (even though it was a tattoo that only took 5 minutes of his time & i paid $65 for) that he didn't want to waste time on it. I came to Black Torch about 1 month ago for my 1st tattoo and I loved it!! I came as a walk-in and waited 20 minutes max (my tattoo was pretty simple). I showed the artist (didn't catch his name) what I wanted and he went to the back and drew it and it looked exactly like the pic I showed him. I walked in the place was very nice and clean and displayed a lot of the artists artwork which was nice to look at. I was met at the door by someone, very kind and friendly (turns out it was the guy who was going to pierce me). He was very knowledgeable, i even ask him about some of my previous piercings. The place was very clean, i saw him go to the back to get the sterile materials and he also washed his hands right in front of me like a surgeon getting ready for surgery which was great to see. He then proceeded to get the jewelry, and i asked him about a bigger size for my helix and he got that for me as well. He marked me up, and i walked out with two new piercings which i am in love with. They are a bit pricey so when you come here you need to have your money in order. Overall i had a good experience and would go back for future piercings. Together both piercings cost $85, it would have been $80 but because i got a bigger helix ring size, it was a $5 up charge. Jake is a great piercer and he definitely knows what he's doing but I've been there multiple times and every time I have an awful encounter with him. He is very rude and awkward while I always try to be polite and friendly, definitely not worth it! I got lobe piercings on both ears. The piercer didn't seem all that interest or enthusiasm about his job or the me, the customer. And whenever I asked him a question about the procedure or his job, I either got a snarky, mean response or a one-word response. The piercings are good though, professional procedure. I went here to get my nose pierced in late October. Mr.Jake was a very nice an knowledgeable person he did a fantastic job you can tell he's well experienced at what he does and by far. The piercing was relatively quick and not much pain at all he even took the time out to explained to me the aftercare process an even provided a print out copy of a sufficient aftercare plan. This review is strictly for piercings. I came in to get my belly button pierced ($40). No appointment, but no wait either. All my friends recommended Jake, so he pierced it for me. Reviews were right. He is VERY knowledgable on piercings and super friendly, which was great. Everything was super clean and sterile. I got to ask him so many questions about the piercing I was getting and even previous ones that I had. He also switched out some old jewelry for me with the right sizes, since my barbells were too long. The piercing was quick, although one complaint I have is that mine is slightly crooked :( and this is a couple months later, after swelling has gone down. I went in to get a piercing and I felt welcome from the moment I walked through the door. I was very nervous and they walked me through the process and made me feel very comfortable. The shop is kept very clean and organized. I could not be happier with my piercing and I will be going back for another soon!I highly recommend Black Torch Tattoo and I also highly recommend Trevon.. the wonderful dude that did my piercing. He knew his stuff and was able to answer every question I threw at him. He made me feel very calm and confident in the service I was receiving. During the process of the piercing I began to feel extremely nauseated, Trevon walked me over to the sink as preceded to throw up.
