I met Eric for the fist time a couple months ago when I walked in and gave him my idea for a tattoo. Eric listened and presented me with great design even with the changes I expressed. This was no small tattoo, this was a big half sleeve with alot of detail. It took several sits to complete but yielded excellent results. I would highly recommend Eric and everyone at Nevermore. Not going back. Took my girlfriend to get a tattoo here and after the first session we were both told she wasn't going to have to pay anymore the second time around and that the deposit will cover the next session. Instead he made her shell out another 50 dollars after the second and final session was done. Decent tattoo work but horrible business and customer service. Randomly found Mat, looking for through all the portfolios in the Tattoo Parlors online in the Clarksville/Nashville area. I was looking for a certain style and wanted someone who did the 'style' a lot and not just someone who could mimic the style. Someone that would be able to cover up an older, large tattoo. Almost, went out of state until I found Mat's stuff, which the tattoo he had to cover up, didn't even phase him and said he 'cover up a black box if necessary.' Is Professional and charges less per hour than what I would have expected, and accurately deducts for time when breaks are needed. We was able to coordinate together for the best colors to pop on my skin tone. His name is tied to it, so if I went a direction that he thought was a bad idea, he tried to skew my point of view towards a route that would look the best. He wouldn't just take my money and just tattoo whatever composition/layout I wanted, without some type of professional input.He can also draw/freehand in a moment's notice. I had some extra space and told him I wanted 'this, this and this.' He flipped my arm over and it drew it in seconds with detail as if he took it home and sketched it.More than a one trick pony. Even thou I moved away to Texas, it doesn't stop me from coming back to Tennessee for a Matthew Delamort Original. That's one of the many things that I love about him, he is a true artist. Not one of my 6 tattoos can be replicated. They are not stencils or flash. I come in with an idea and he brings it to life in his special way with his "sharpie magic". Hand draws on the tattoo design adding his own things to it and in the end I have a beautiful and unique tattoo that no one else will ever have on my body to admire for the rest of my life. Sure you can go to another shop, pick something off the wall just to say you got a tattoo and years later when you see 3 other people with that same design, you might regret that decision. I have gotten the majority of my work done by Mathew and no matter where I am I'm the world I receive nonstop compliments on my tattoos. He is so accommodating with my spastic schedule and is able to put my ideas into beautiful pieces no matter how terribly I try to describe them. He works very quickly but doesn't rush and does not waste your time with breaks every 5 minutes so you definitely get your time and money's worth plus he isn't heavy handed at all so that is a definite plus. Tattoo- the art on my sleeve is unbelievable. The first tattoo artist that I've met, who approaches tattooing from a prof...essional artist perspective with tattoo as a medium rather than limiting his perspectives to simply tattoo. He can do any style and do it well. Traditional, watercolor, you name it. He goes the extra mile to research the art to deeper understand the meaning so he can add even the smallest details to make it meaningful and unique. Nevermore Galleries is easily the best tattoo shop I've been to in the Clarksville area. Matthew (owner) is a real artist and he took a vague idea I had for a tattoo and turned into exactly what I wanted. I live about 10 hours from this studio but I would definitely travel to get more work done by Mathew. I felt really comfortable working with him because he listened to what I wanted but also added his own style. When your in the military you travel far and wide and meet new and interesting people. Well Mathew is that interesting and amazing artist. Matter of fact it is so good I book appointments months in advance and drive three hours to see him. The dude is the truth. No art form is out of reach for this guy. If you want some beautiful traditional Japanese artwork he is your dude. I personally get Viking artwork which this guy is also the bees knees. Check them out if you have been in the area for awhile this is the same guy who ran blu hanya and 13 daggers. He is super talented and if I know this guy like I think I do he only hires the best. I would never get a tattoo anywhere else. Quality, original and professional work. Walked in and left a deposit with some ideas of what I wanted. Came back in for my appointment and was blown away at what Mathew Delamort had drawn up for me. Couldn't have done a better job, I was very impressed with the overall experience.
