After my most recent doctors visit, I realized I haven't took any migraine medicine since winter time after getting my diath piercing. I was having migraines weekly and taken medicine that just made me sleep on a weekly bases. So glad I got it done! Love the guys at soundskin and will only go to them for piercing and tattoo work. I have heard nothing but great things about the tattoos, however, my piercing experience wasn't great. There are some very nice people who work in there, and maybe this was a bad day, but I'm not pleased with how I was treated or the result. I got a daith piercing about a month ago and when I went in, the piercer was not there. I was happily willing to wait or come back. I chose to wait because I was told he would return soon. When he returned he appeared to be irritated... and said that he hadn't had time to eat while he was out, since he had gotten a text that he had a client waiting. I mentioned that I would be happy to come back at another time. He said that it was fine and took me back. I shrugged it off as a personality difference but my standard of customer service for my own job is better than that. It was rushed and uncomfortable. Because of that experience I was not comfortable going back to have him check it when I felt it wasn't healing properly. After a week I went to a piercing studio in Lexington and they looked at it and said to give it another few weeks before maybe trying a barbell instead of a ring. That shop wasn't a great environment and they seemed unsure, so I did some research before I found a piercer I could trust. She took a look today and found three issues. My piercing is too shallow, the jewelry wasn't the correct size for my ear, and the jewelry itself wasn't the best quality. My ear was trying to get rid of it. I have several other cartilage piercings and none of them have had this much trouble. I cleaned it exactly like I was supposed to, but she could not save it. She had to remove it so it can heal. I'm hoping that it heals properly and looks normal. It may or may not be able to be re-pierced on that side. So now I'm a little frustrated that I have paid for this only to have it taken out a few weeks later so I can pay someone else to do another one, most likely on the side I didn't prefer. Not every piercing turns out great, I completely understand that, but I do feel that this experience could have been much better. Awesome place to get a tattoo. Great people, very clean, good jewelry selection, and most importantly, great tattoo work. They really blow the local competition out of of the water with their work. They're fair on prices, so you won't break the bank unless you just really want to. The only complaint I have is parking. The location isn't the best, so you may have to park away and walk to the shop. Not even enough of a problem to even complain about when compared to the awesome service!!Read Less

The best work I've seen or had done in Kentucky!!! I've been to a couple other shops and these guys at sound skin ink have had to correct the errors. They also do a great job piercing! My kids wanted tattoos when they were 16 and my husband and I decided it was ok after approving the design and making sure it would not hinder a job choice by placement. Hello everyone!! I just wanted to say that I have had some ink work done there and i loved there work. I showed Glenn the design that i wanted and then told him to run with it. I was so amazed when we got donehe ha with it. I love the work that they have done for me. I would recomend to anyone that wants a tattoo done to go there and have it done. As a matter of fack i am gettin ready to go get some more work done there.This tattoo parlor is excelent and very resonable on there prices. I have several friends that i have talked into going up there and they have also said that they are to only ones that is going to do work on them. THEY ARE GREAT ON THEIR JOB & PRICES !! I WOULD DEFINETLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE, IF YOU ARE GOING FOR YOUR FIRST TATTOO OR FOR COVER UP'S THIS IS DEFINETLY THE BEST PLACE TO GO !! My daughter's Boy friend had there sons footprints done in black and grey,and compareing the tattoo with the birth cert. there was no compairison. no dermal lines just splotches of grey,and they were outlined.. I'v seen some baby footprints done that looked identicle to the photo's. I admit I can not judge there work overall.I've only seen two Tattoo's done theare one was bad the other was run of the mill.
