I had a friend in town who really wanted to get a tattoo, and after i saw this shop's work I wanted to give them a call to see if they'd accept walk-ins or not. The man (James???) on the phone gave some unessecary attitude when I asked how "tomorrow" (Memorial Day, today) looked appointment wise (didnt want to just drop in if they were busy) and he snapped "I dOn'T kNoW i CaN't SeE tHe FuTuRe!" When its like.... can't you look and see if there are any appointments tomorrow? Anyway, he told us they closed at 6 and if we wanted to make an appointment for the next day we needed to come in "today" to speak to the artist. I told him great, we'll be there as soon as we're done eating. It was 2 when we finished, and we immediately went over to the shop. The man at the front desk was the same one I spoke to on the phone, and when i briefed what we talked about earlier he said "well, too bad now, the artist just left." Flustered I said "well you told us you closed at six and we'd be right over after eating..." and once again he got snippy and was like " HoW wAs I sUpPoSeD tO kNoW hOw FaSt YoU'd EaT?" I tried to remain polite and said "oh well, sorry, we'll try again somewhere else." That's when Adam Potts came to the rescue. He had overheard our conversation and offered to tattoo my friend right then and there. Luckily my friend had the design on his person! Adam was sweet, professional, works quickly but efficiently! Gave my friends tons of advice on tattoo care.Pricing was pretty normal for a tattoo place. The establishment itself seemed nice. While i didn't see a parking area specifically for it, you can literally park on the side of the road in front of it. I want to say I'd come back and have my next tattoo done by Adam.... but honestly that guy at the front desk was extremely rude. Why would you want someone so snarky as the first person you meet when walking in?

The guys at tattoo salvation are awesome. As individuals, they're super talented, honest, professional, and down to earth. As a team, it seems like they're constantly supporting and helping their clients and each other. James is currently working on my sleeve and I've never seen another artist invest their mind and their time into their work like James does. I love going in for my appointments because I know I'm not only going to leave with beautiful work that my artist has thought out 150%, but I get to have a great time conversing with my artist and the other guys in the shop while getting tattooed. I know that if I have questions about healing and care I can call and talk to any of the artists. I don't ever second guess whether I am welcome, or if I am being taken care of properly. These dudes are the best, and put a ton of thought into what they do.

This place is amazing! I came here by myself as a walk-in and James took great care of me! I showed him my original design and he helped me get a good size for it. He also explained to me which colors would look best on my skin tone and everything. James was SUCH a chill guy to get a tattoo from! Made it very easy for me not to be nervous at all and he works really fast! He's a great guy and amazing artist. I couldn't be happier with what I got. I 100% will be coming back sometime in the future!

My tattoo itself is great- but when I first got there, James was sort of rude about what I wanted. He made fun of it and said that "Pinterest tattoos are great in theory." What I wanted, I hadn't found on Pinterest and I was mostly offended that he judged me just on that, then refused to do the work. After I suggested to my friend that we go to a shop down the road, the guy called Jesse to see if he would do the tattoo. Jesse agreed and did a great job. He got it done very quickly and mostly painlessly. I docked one star for the way I was treated about the tattoo I wanted, and another because my 2 inch words tattoo cost me $80, which I felt was pricy. Other than that, just an average shop, nothing special.

Hands down best piercing experience I have ever had. Josh is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and precise. He really knows what he is doing and explains everything - he makes the procedure very sterile and my piercings are healing wonderfully. I have now gotten both of my tattoos here. My girlfriend has also gotten one here. Every time I've entered this shop the artists met with us almost immediately. I say almost because they are always busy. So they come to us fast which is fantastic because I'd understand if it took a while. The artists here love to display their work and show off their art which is amazing. Looking through all of their books is a cool way to understand your artist and maybe get some ideas, alter your idea, ask questions, and build a relationship. My first tattoo too about 45 minutes and my artist made me feel comfortable and it was actually a very enjoyable experience. My second took 3 hours and I have the same comments. I felt comfortable the entire time and was offered water, breaks, conversation, etc. both tattoos came out fantastic. My second tattoo involves a good amount of detail for the scenery and when you look close the line work is amazing and the details are fantastic. I will continue to come here, my girlfriend has said she can't wait to go back, and I will continue to recommend. I just want to reiterate one more time. This place does get very busy. You may have to wait but it's worth it. It's busy for a reason right. Great work guys and gals!

I walked-in to get my ears guaged here and was in and out in 45 minutes. Josh was super helpful answering all my noobie questions and putting me at ease. The consent and payment process was all electronic: simple and fast. The art inside is interesting to look at while waiting. The place could stand to have more seating for those waiting to see an artist. It was overall a very good experience and I expect to visit again in the future.

Was looking for a place to get a piercing and decided to stop in here. This was my sixth piercing and from now on the only place I will go to get a piercing. Joshua was great! I'm very nervous, but he was kind and patient. He explained the procedure in detail and was extremely professional. Everything was extremely clean and the staff were great. I have already recommended this place to others.

Adam is amazing. I had an old tattoo that I wanted covered up. He came highly recommended and after our first sit down I was very comfortable with his vision.
He turned my idea and to a true work of art. Very reasonable pricing and fantastic attention to detail.
Also - pay attention to him about after care. It's been 3 weeks since I got this, and I have had no issues and only very slight peeling.

I've been coming in to see Adam for about a year now, he's the first artist that made me think, 'yep, i'll be back!'. He's spent a lot of hours on me and I have never left feeling anything but pleased and excited to show off his work. He has the ability to take my words, sometimes not even making a whole lot of sense to me, and draw something amazing that looks great on paper and even better once he's finished. He came highly recommended by a friend and I will not see anyone else.

I have over the years had many piercings... essentially everything above the waist and Joshua Spriggs at Tattoo Salvation has the best techniques I have ever encountered. His process is methodical and simply put surgical quality. I trust his work so much that I took my daughter to him for her first piercings. Her health and well being is not something I take lightly. I hope he stays at Salvation but if not I'll take my business wherever he goes.

While in Louisville for a Family Reunion; I went as a walk in with a friend who wanted to have a P.A. (Prince Albert) genital piercing done. Josh explained every aspect of the procedure while he was going through the process, and was extremely attentive to sterile field requirements, and he had a gentle "bedside" manner. As a former OSHA Compliance Officer, I was pleased and impressed!

This review will be just to praise my tattoo artist: Lyndi Lou! She's an AMAZING artists, who focuses on custom colorful tattoos. I couldn't have been more grateful to get an appointment with her. She's usually booked up weeks in advance, but luckily I was able to get her at a rather soon time! I trusted her with my first tattoo after seeing a friend of mine going to her for her first as well. We had been emailing back and forth in the design and she had it pre-stenciled by the time I got there, unfortunately due to a mix-up a key detail of the tattoo was left out but Lyndi was ON IT. I don't think I was waiting more than 15 minutes till I was in her " cubicle" sucking on a jolly rancher (provided by Tattoo Salvation) ready to get the needle. After 2 hours of great conversation and knowledgeable advice for after care I was out of the chair AMAZED with her work. My Monarch tattoo came out even better than I expected and left me almost in tears by the beauty of it. If I ever can get through the pain again I'll come back to Lyndi, and anyone whose looking for vibrant and meaningful tattoos should definitely make an appointment with her! ($20 for a deposit, $100 per hour- my total was 150+ 20 tip)

I want to this little joint after strolling up and down bardstown and seeing serval talented artist this place stuck out. They had very traditional artwork (which I love) but also more modern pieces that were what I aiming for with my next tattoo. I got a an elephant outline on my left arm above the outside of my elbow. I was very indecisive. On the placement due to the fact that I am a bigger woman. But the artist did a great job at placing this tattoo wear it still looks elegant. The line work is very stable and I cannot be more pleased.

He was so kind, gentle, and walked me through everything. Evan, his apprentice he was training did awesome on coloring my earring to the perfect color (didn't even know they could do that) and he was also very nice! Josh was recommended by another shop I called. They said he used to be there and they wouldn't let anyone else put a hole in them. He was great. Explained the process well, showed me that all was sanitized, and cracked a few jokes about small ears and sausage fingers. He was cool when my flight or fight instinct kicked in too! Apparently he needed that arm to work! Clear aftercare instructions too. I had the daith pierced in my right ear. I would definitely go back. He was knowledgable and professional.

Ive been getting tattooed by Adam for 11 years now. He has been the only person I have ever gotten tattooed by. When you find the best why go to any one else?! I have two sleeves, chest piece, side pieces, and some work on my legs. I love all of them so much and Adam is such a talented artist. They all still look as great as the day I got them.
I've been living in Los Angeles for 5 years now, and I still fly back just to get tattooed by Adam!

I have two sleeves, chest piece, side pieces, and some work on my legs. I love all of them so much and Adam is such a talented artist. They all still look as great as the day I got them. I got a tattoo from Adam a few months ago. The ink is holding up very well. But he is very heavy handed. I have 4 tats total and his hurt the worst. Price was reasonable but it hurt so bad that I told him to hold off on filling in my heart. He told me that's fine and just come back another time and he will take care of it then. The next time I came back, he told me it would $50 or if Igot another tattoo that equaled to $50 that he would fill in my heart for $10. The heart is on my wrist and is about a half an inch. It would have taken him less than 5 minutes to do that and he refused unless I paid him his minimum price of $50. Even though he told me he would take care of it. I took it to another tattoo artist (Travis King) and he did it for free with no questions.

Great shop! Clean and friendly shop. I have been going to the shop since Adam was the sole tattooer. He has done almost all the work on my body and its looks just as good today as it did the day it was done.

I have now gotten both of my tattoos here. My girlfriend has also gotten one here. Every time I've entered this shop the artists met with us almost immediately. I say almost because they are always busy. So they come to us fast which is fantastic because I'd understand if it took a while. The artists here love to display their work and show off their art which is amazing. Looking through all of their books is a cool way to understand your artist and maybe get some ideas, alter your idea, ask questions, and build a relationship. My first tattoo too about 45 minutes and my artist made me feel comfortable and it was actually a very enjoyable experience. My second took 3 hours and I have the same comments. I felt comfortable the entire time and was offered water, breaks, conversation, etc. both tattoos came out fantastic. My second tattoo involves a good amount of detail for the scenery and when you look close the line work is amazing and the details are fantastic. I will continue to come here, my girlfriend has said she can't wait to go back, and I will continue to recommend. I just want to reiterate one more time. This place does get very busy. You may have to wait but it's worth it. It's busy for a reason right. Great work guys and gals!

I walked-in to get my ears guaged here and was in and out in 45 minutes. Josh was super helpful answering all my noobie questions and putting me at ease. The consent and payment process was all electronic: simple and fast. The art inside is interesting to look at while waiting. The place could stand to have more seating for those waiting to see an artist. It was overall a very good experience and I expect to visit again in the future.

I'm very nervous, but he was kind and patient. He explained the procedure in detail and was extremely professional. Everything was extremely clean and the staff were great. Adam is amazing. I had an old tattoo that I wanted covered up. He came highly recommended and after our first sit down I was very comfortable with his vision.
He turned my idea and to a true work of art. Very reasonable pricing and fantastic attention to detail.
Also - pay attention to him about after care. It's been 3 weeks since I got this, and I have had no issues and only very slight peeling.

He's spent a lot of hours on me and I have never left feeling anything but pleased and excited to show off his work. He has the ability to take my words, sometimes not even making a whole lot of sense to me, and draw something amazing that looks great on paper and even better once he's finished. He came highly recommended by a friend and I will not see anyone else.

I have over the years had many piercings... essentially everything above the waist and Joshua Spriggs at Tattoo Salvation has the best techniques I have ever encountered. His process is methodical and simply put surgical quality. I trust his work so much that I took my daughter to him for her first piercings. Her health and well being is not something I take lightly. I hope he stays at Salvation but if not I'll take my business wherever he goes.

Josh explained every aspect of the procedure while he was going through the process, and was extremely attentive to sterile field requirements, and he had a gentle "bedside" manner. This review will be just to praise my tattoo artist: Lyndi Lou! She's an AMAZING artists, who focuses on custom colorful tattoos. I couldn't have been more grateful to get an appointment with her. She's usually booked up weeks in advance, but luckily I was able to get her at a rather soon time! I trusted her with my first tattoo after seeing a friend of mine going to her for her first as well. We had been emailing back and forth in the design and she had it pre-stenciled by the time I got there, unfortunately due to a mix-up a key detail of the tattoo was left out but Lyndi was ON IT. I don't think I was waiting more than 15 minutes till I was in her " cubicle" sucking on a jolly rancher (provided by Tattoo Salvation) ready to get the needle. After 2 hours of great conversation and knowledgeable advice for after care I was out of the chair AMAZED with her work. My Monarch tattoo came out even better than I expected and left me almost in tears by the beauty of it. If I ever can get through the pain again I'll come back to Lyndi, and anyone whose looking for vibrant and meaningful tattoos should definitely make an appointment with her! ($20 for a deposit, $100 per hour- my total was 150+ 20 tip)

I want to this little joint after strolling up and down bardstown and seeing serval talented artist this place stuck out. They had very traditional artwork (which I love) but also more modern pieces that were what I aiming for with my next tattoo. I got a an elephant outline on my left arm above the outside of my elbow. I was very indecisive. On the placement due to the fact that I am a bigger woman. But the artist did a great job at placing this tattoo wear it still looks elegant. The line work is very stable and I cannot be more pleased.

Went today for the first time to get my daith pierced and the staff is amazing!! Josh did my piercing and his knowledge on not just piercings, but sterile technique, equipment, etc is impressive!! He was so kind, gentle, and walked me through everything. Evan, his apprentice he was training did awesome on coloring my earring to the perfect color (didn't even know they could do that) and he was also very nice! Josh was recommended by another shop I called. They said he used to be there and they wouldn't let anyone else put a hole in them. He was great. Explained the process well, showed me that all was sanitized, and cracked a few jokes about small ears and sausage fingers. He was cool when my flight or fight instinct kicked in too! Apparently he needed that arm to work! Clear aftercare instructions too. I had the daith pierced in my right ear. I would definitely go back. He was knowledgable and professional.

Ive been getting tattooed by Adam for 11 years now. He has been the only person I have ever gotten tattooed by. When you find the best why go to any one else?! I have two sleeves, chest piece, side pieces, and some work on my legs. I love all of them so much and Adam is such a talented artist. They all still look as great as the day I got them.

I got a tattoo from Adam a few months ago. The ink is holding up very well. But he is very heavy handed. I have 4 tats total and his hurt the worst. Price was reasonable but it hurt so bad that I told him to hold off on filling in my heart. He told me that's fine and just come back another time and he will take care of it then. The next time I came back, he told me it would $50 or if Igot another tattoo that equaled to $50 that he would fill in my heart for $10. The heart is on my wrist and is about a half an inch. It would have taken him less than 5 minutes to do that and he refused unless I paid him his minimum price of $50. Even though he told me he would take care of it. I took it to another tattoo artist (Travis King) and he did it for free with no questions.
