I had a facial dermal done a few months ago. I was very happy with it at first. Then a couple of weeks ago I woke up with it sitting side ways and felt weird. I went back to have her look at it that day. She said clean it real good and put a band aide on it for a week. I did what she asked. Then I woke up today and it had fallen out. So I went back to her. She told me she could not help me. But could repierce it for $50. When I first got my piercing they were real nice and said come back with any issues. But ever time I went she didn't even take a close look at my piercing just glanced over the counter and gave her opinion. Then want me to pay full price again to help out. How rude. Came up with a problem with my new vape pen. I had thrown away a blue plastic piece(probably any new person with no instructions on vaping would do so). If u throw away this blue piece you have to buy a new cartridge. Instead of having to buy a new pen or cartridge, they gave me one off of a damaged one. This place is awesome I'd shopped at the head shed for a long time and I know they were doing good because they opened 2 more but when I went in to purple haze they had everything they head shed had in 3 stores in just one I was really impressed with there selection of glass pieces some of the best stuff I've seen they carry any brand of rolling paper you could imagine including shine rolling papers that come in either gold or silver you can buy single packs of 5 for around 20 dollars and for around 35 dollars you can buy a gift box that comes with 2 papers a lighter and a tube in a container with a straw to stuff your legal medical herbs into it with its pretty cool they also carry vape pens nicotine and other cbd stuff and probably a million other things I can't think of right now but the staff is very friendly and I HIGHLY recommend you check this place out even if it's not what you think your into you might learn something Read Less

Ok this review should have been written well over a year ago, it's actually bothered me several times a week since then; that I hadn't taken the time out of my day to write this. Ok so first I'll say  the manager who works here, is awesome. No lie she's super cool and chill as well as real helpful and she wanted to help me.  And FYI I'm just some dude like you. 37 married w kids and job mortgage etc. Prob had on fuc**in khakis. (Looks can be deceiving) anyhow so I bought a nice 50 glass piece and when paying for it I dropped it. Totally shattered.  So the manager came up and was like "damn dude that sucks lets get you another piece on us" and she walked over to other side of store and looked around for a min or two and grabbed a new one and gave it to me and get this, it was the one I was considering getting it instead of the one I broke! Yeah. Random odds. But anyhow. They were that cool here. Anyhow. just showed that she cared about her customers. Pretty cool in my book. if your looking for a new piece, there selection is so massive it can get a lil cra cra but I'm sure you'll find exactly what it is your looking for.  Great store. Had my conch pierced on March 18th, I forgot the name of my piercer but she did great! The lady that was the greeter was also very nice and welcoming. I arrived at 6 and a few other people arrived after me and they both were very nice and helpful even though they were about to close, at 7. I didn't even feel the needle go through! I think I was way more nervous about the pain than what it actually was! On a scale of 1-10 this was a 1 for me. I think the industrial hurt me more. I went in the New Circle location and the lady that works there was very very helpful. I bought a vape and a set of scales and some other stuff came up to about 80 or $90. About 30 minutes later I realized I didn't need the scales so I took them back, with my receipt. The nice lady then told me that she could not return it even though I hadn't opened it and had only been gone about 30 minutes. I personally feel that is a really business practice and I'm very displeased about it. so if you go into Purple Haze and purchase something, realize that it is permanent, you cannot return it. I went for body jewelry. They have an alright selection of jewelry but most of the store is glass pipes. They used to be much friendlier. I just went and was ignored. I left and came back and was ignored again. When I say ignored I mean the owner helped the person in front of me and then walked away afterwards. After coming back she then looked right at me and went and sat in the corner on her computer/phone. The other guy was talking with three other customers and the other girl was looking at the register. You can't look at the jewelry without them handing it to you and nobody helped me so I didn't buy anything. Wasted all that time and didn't even get an earring. :/They get two stars because they are a good place to go to for irregularly sized body jewelry. Maybe she was having a bad day. Being from Austin, Texas, THE home of counterculture, hipness, and edgy "Keep Austin Weird" thematic living, I was pleasantly to find Purple Haze as I got lost in Lexington, Kentucky.  The staff was friendly, helpful, appropriately counterculture without being total douches about it.  Unlike Austin head shops and alternative gift stores, the staff wasn't paranoid, even though I look like a middle-aged businessperson.  Excellent selection of pipes and other 420-friendly wares.  Also didn't get the heebees from the store, dirt-wise, which is good.  I haven't been to Squecial Media yet, and I will,but this store deserves 4.5-5 stars.  If they had also carried erotica and sex toys, the Plan would be Complete. {giggle}.  They have glass pipes as low as $7 each, and they have an excellent selection of higher dollar wares.  This place could add a hip Ruta Maya like coffee shop and become a mecca for fun.  I have no idea how the tattoo part of their business is, being tat-free as a personal choice.  The little Mexican dude is actually from Ft. I went in for a tattoo but they wanted double what I paid at underground ink. And their pipes were like $80 bucks for animal pipes other stores sell for $30. Hookahs were freaking expensive too. I'd say go to undergorund for ink and sqecial media or new age for pipes. Read Less

I was browsing in Purple Haze one day, and the employee was asking me if there was anything I wanted to purchase. I told said employee that I was just browsing, and would probably check out the prices of some things at other stores to see where I could get the best deal (I don't think that's a big issue... I don't want to buy something only to find out later that I could have gotten it cheaper somewhere else). This employee immediately got an attitude with me, just because I wanted to check out some prices elsewhere. If they were nice to me, then I definitely would have come back if I hadn't found any better deals. Treating your customers like that is not good for business. Turns out, though, that browsing around at other stores was a good idea. I came to realize that Purple Haze jacks their prices up on their merchandise. You can find the same stuff for significantly cheaper at other stores in Lexington. I would strongly advise anyone to stay away from this place. Read Less

She was raving about the price of our piercings and then when her child broke my jewelry display and I made her pay for it she got pretty upset. They did and Ok job on my peircing but were a little over the top when they made me a buy a display case that my baby accidently turned over. There was only a little chip out of the corner and the new case probably didn't cost the full 73 dollars that I had to pay for it. I took the display case home and sold it and now will never go back to that store again! Nothing a little glue and some hard work couldn't have fixed. I think they just wanted a new display case and decided I looked like I could pay for it. Do not recommend there services when you can go somewhere else. To much grief over and accident. Read Less
