Best shop for tattoos and piercings especially, the piercer, Shaun, is incredibly knowledgeable and professional plus they do 2 for 30 so you can get your nips (or whatever) done for 30 bucks!!! I've been going here for piercings and tattoos for 4 years now. I've had 10 piercings done here (9 by the past piercer, 1 by the current) & 5 tattoos.They run a 2 for $30 special on piercings and never once have I had a problem with them rejecting as I have with Asylum and Mother's.  I go to Marcus Bradshaw for my tattoos and he is AMAZING. His line work is great and I wouldn't go anywhere else. He charges a fair price and doesn't over charge like a lot of the shops down in Covington do. Read Less

I had a simple tattoo on my wrist that had some pretty horrible lines from another shop, Donnie was amazing! He made it look like a completely different tattoo! As well as added a beautiful rose behind it! I went from hating it to loving it!😍 I will go to Donnie from here on out! Read Less

I went in to have my chest dermal re-done, as I had the previous chest dermal for 4 yrs and also had two dermals on my collar bone before. So he placed the dermal a little bit higher up than the scar from the last one. I started to notice something wasn't right when he ended up fumbling around with the tools and placement under my skin for over 15 mins!... I knew something wasn't right but he kept reassuring me he just had to adjust it and it was tricky. He told me to also we...ar a water proof band aid over it for the first two weeks to help it heal which I did because I was hoping I wasn't right about him messing it up. Every time I would go to change the band aid I noticed my skin had not healed over the entire top rounded end of the dermal flat bar back which your skin should grow over. Finally, to my exact prediction, the entire dermal fell out of my body within a month of having it pierced because the skin did not heal around it properly due to placement. Definitely won't make this mistake ever again! Don't go here for dermals people! Ok so, I went in Tuesday to get my tongue and navel pierced. My tongue has done very well, no problems. However my navel got very very infected and when I went to remove the piercing, the ball was so stuck, my father had to take cutters and cut it off which was extremely painful. Now this is not to say I won't use arts again, because I will. Just a malfunction I suppose. You can't beat the prices and everyone made me much less nervous. My friend and I came in yesterday to get a couple piercings she got her Medusa and I got my Daith. (trying to get rid of these pesky migraines) We were in and out in less then 20 minutes, Jeff was fantastic! :D I was so nervous, because of how bad it was going to hurt, but it was over so fast my eyes barely watered. Bad experience with piercings. I got my nipples pierced there..... the piercer was really rude, I ask him for a recommendation on the type of soap I needed to clean them and he said that he didn't want to commercialize any brand so he refused to give me a name. He didn't explain anything to me So I had to goggle how to take care of them and how to clean them He didn't let me see the piercing's locating to se if I like them.and at the end he did my nipples uneven, my right nipple had the bad thru my nipple and the ends thru my areola. he used a really short bar that was causing me a lot of pain so I had to take them off :( they literally lasted me 1 and 1/2 days. I cry all night because of how painful they were. It was a really bad experience. The price is cheap but it's not worth it. Read Less

He was patient and polite and for the 2 of them that havent ever got a tattoo before he helped ease the tension and pain and made it worth the while. Great experience. I decided on getting a cross on my back, starting up by my shoulder blades. The guy took forever so I thought he had to be doing a good job. Well when it got done and I stood up and looked in the mirror, the freakin things crooked!!! I was so pissed and still am!! Im glad its on my back because if I could see it all the time it would drive me crazy! For the past two years every time I wear a bathing suit EVERYONE tells me its crooked so I tell them who screwed it up!!! Dont get work done here! Read Less

Had two horrible experiences with them back to back. Thought I'd give them another chance. Now I just tell people to avoid it at all costs. Not only did they randomly close for a car show one day when me and two other friends had appointments scheduled, i also watched the owner's son put my name and time down for an appointment in the book and when I went to go get my tattoo he acted like I never existed and I saw my name there. He just wanted to take care of someone else even though I had made my reservation a month in advance. The tattoo they ended up giving me a discount for when WE had to call them the next day to reschedule when they closed for the dumbest reason ever is also horrible. Worst decision of my life. A couple of friends and I went there today to get piercings done. 20 bucks each. Compared to the forty dollars mothers and asylum wanted to charge us for the same piercings. They were quick, sanitary, and polite. I don't know about there tattoo artists. But I would recommend getting piercings here to anyone that doesn't want to get ripped off at the other local places. This shop was a great experience each of the multiple times I have been there. The staff is funny and personable. Though the prices are much cheaper than other shops in the area, the work is just as good. Everyone in my family goes here for piercings and tattoos and has nothing but good things to say about it.The person who reviewed this before me seems to have a personal vendetta against the shop because I have never seen any of the type of behavior she has described.I support this facility completely and it's the place a recommend for anyone.I STRONGLY recommend bringing in personal photos of the work you want done though because the wall of tattoo examples they have is very boring and mainstream. I really don't recommend this shop, it's a well-known fact in this area that Art's Ink does shoddy work and although their prices are cheap, there's a reason for it.  I know several folks who have went in there for a tattoo and have seen artists not change gloves and even slap "high 5" with gloves on from other work, then to just go back and work on customers again (hello health department, can we say cross-contamination?).  I also know that Lucky 13 gets a lot of their mess-ups to fix, so with that being said I would say to walk a few feet down Madison Ave and go to Lucky 13 instead, or even drive to Latonia and see the guys at Asylum but please don't go to this shop.  How they are still open at this point is beyond me.
