I won't go anywhere else, Matt is a phenomenal individual as is his work. I know lots of people are intimidated by tattoo shops, espically if it is their first. No need to feel intimidated here, Red Sea is an extremely laid back environment. The atmosphere in the shop is also fantastic, Matt has hundreds of vintage sailor style designs framed all over the shop . One could walk in and simply choose a design off the wall if they are unsure of what they want. Some of these designs range from 50-100 years old. Matt knows exactly how to make the tattoo experience as professional and personal as I can imagine. His work is clean and 100% quality he did my first two tattoos, and I can't wait to have more with him. I love the feel of the shop, and wouldn't go anywhere else for a traditional tattoo. His first come first serve process makes traveling for a tattoo more fun and fair. He's talented, knowledgeable, and is one of the few guys in town who will give you an honest, professional opinion on how to make your tattoo last the test of time (instead of other shops who will take your money and give you a crap product just to make a buck). He is a historian of the craft regarding traditional American tattooing. He is very humble in his pricing. Red Sea Tattoo is one of Wichita's oldest tattoo shops. I've trusted matt to do do 90% of the tattoos on my body. Matt specializes in traditional tattoos but is talented enough to perform several different styles. His shop is clean, his methods impeccable. Got a tattoo from Red Sea Tattoo about a month ago.  Extreamly pleased with my experience there.  Went in after work to get a consoltation.  He was extreamely friendly and approchable (I have many tattoos and I still feel intimidated walking in to a shop I've never been in, not the case here).  I told him what I had in mind, he liked it and seemed pretty stoked to do it.  He only does walkins on Saturday (which was the only day I could come in) so I got there early and there wasn't an issue.  He was very quick, very high quality and his prices are very reasonable.  It doesn't matter what style of tattoo you want, he does it all, but clearly loves the traditional style.  I plan on getting several pieces done here in the future and I would recommend anyone wanting a tattoo to check this shop out.
