Kind of lame and schticky. Some dude wearing only short shorts is supposed to be edgy or something, I'm really not sure. Plus there was someone there getting their first tattoo and afterwords they all the employees chanted " One of us" from the movie Freaks like getting a tattoo in 2018 is really a taboo lol... I went in to hang with my wife while she got a tattoo from Emma. We loved our experience! Emma is funny and engaging, as well as a unique artist Judith and Danny are a great pair. Danny has a cute Lil butt, and can hover over by us anytime. I could listen to Judith talk for hours. Also.... Yes the tattoo went from just a blocky vision of clip art we found online to a symbol my wife can proudly wear for years to come. I wish I could handle actually getting inked. This would be my spot. Tattoo Virgin! You guys! This is such an amazing shop. I moved here from Vegas and California (where there is a shop on every corner). Looking Glass was so attentive, super sweet, explained everything and just all around an awesome bunch! They are unique and set apart from all the other. You won't find this type of shop anywhere else, especially in Topeka. If you are searching, just STOP! This is the place to go!!! I'm getting a hip to rib piece done by Judith and she is just wonderful! She's sweet, funny, super gentle and I was just totally comfortable with zero nerves at all. A man who works at the looking glass took his clothes off (down to his very tight briefs) and began to bend and laugh in front of me. This came with no warning and without my consent. I felt very uncomfortable and fell silent as I had no choice but to watch or close my eyes as this grown man contorted himself in front of me. I asked my friend about it and I was told, “he just does that and means no harm.” As I’m sure he doesn’t mean to harm anyone that doesn’t mean it wasn’t triggering and alarming as I felt like I had no control and just wanted to leave. I went in to ask about a tattoo and got talked to like I was a 13 year old inquiring about my first tattoo. I didnt like the assumption and talking down to especially because I do have ink, its just not visible with my clothes on. Not a great way to attract business. Read Less

Just got a smaller piece done on my inner leg right above my ankle yesterday. My artist was Chris Lyon, and he was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Everyone in the shop made me feel welcome and took good care of me. It's a professional and fun atmosphere. Very clean shop with a quirky aesthetic as well. ... Looking Glass Tattoo is by far the cleanest shop I have ever been to and I have been to many tattoo shops all over the U.S. From the moment I walk in I can feel the loving and caring atmosphere the artists provide.
