I went in on a Saturday right as they opened. I was unsure if I needed an appointment, so I went in to inquire. I got the chance to talk to Trinity, who listened to what I wanted to get and offered to help design them. I was able to get an appointment later in the day. When I came back, Trinity had the two designs all made and asked me my opinion. He was pretty cool about making sure everything was good for it. He chatted with me during the entire process as I got my 2 tattoos. Really cool dude! I felt bad that I didn't have any cash to tip, but told him I'd be back in the near future for another tattoo. Everybody I interacted with at King City Tattoo & Body was friendly, helpful and professional. I was really impressed with their work and really like the tattoos that he designed. I went in to get my first tattoo on a monday. I had called on the Friday prior to try to make an appointment and was told to come in from noon to five. When I got there, the owner said walk in hours were only on Sunday, not Monday, and made fun of me in a very condescending manner even though he was the one who told me to come in on Monday without an appointment. Although he was rude, he did fit me in with Amber. Amber was extremely nice and helpful and my tattoo turned out perfectly. I only wish that the owner had not been so rude. Great service by Amber, but I did think that it was overpriced. It is  less than an inch tall  and is about 2 inches wide. It is very simple and is 4 letters. It cost me $70 plus tip. The only tattoo shop I trust 100% and have gone to for multiple tattoos. Yes, they require a deposit to do a sketch because they put hours into custom tattoo designs that are ALWAYS worth it.  I would recommend them and do recommend them to anyone who asks where I get my tattoos. Trinity is a brilliant artist, hands down! He was able to tell me what colors work best on darker skin tones and as a result did my first color tattoo for me. Simon is just no good. He is clearly uneducated about piercing care because he tells his customers to wash their new piercings with dial soap. No mention of sea salt and when I asked him if the soap would irritate my piercing he said no! He also said to twist my piercing every day, but again any experienced piercer or piercee would know this is very bad advice. I got an industrial from him and he did not measure properly. Because of this a week later he had to take out my bar and replaced it with two tiny bars. When I asked what could be done because my job randomly decided after a month I could not have them visible while on the clock he said I could take them out for eight hours at a time. Had them out for only four hours and they closed up. Yes I should have known...but I trusted him as my piercer to give me correct information. Eventually had to have him redo them. I am now getting a new bar from Brittany at Skin Illustrations because she is going to bend my bar to fit my ears since Simon messed up the angles so badly. Read Less

Simon did my navel piercing fast, which I appreciated at the time, but now I think it was a little too fast. It's been several months, so I went to change the captive ring to a barbell and found the standard sizes don't fit. My piercing is abnormally deep. I called to see if he sells rings this size; he was really rude and didn't seem to understand the difference in mm I need. Said the longest he sells is 7/16th inch, or 11mm. I need at least a 9/16th, or about 14mm, length. It's been a real hassle trying to find any, let alone pretty ones. Then he hung up without even saying goodbye. Clearly I will find a new shop. Simon helped me last minute with captive bead lip rings that I brought in myself to switch out. I had trouble putting the beads in myself so I stopped by. I went in to get my navel repierced.  I got it pierced 12 years ago in another state, but it ripped out 3 months ago.  The staff was so professional and friendly!  The piercing took about 10 seconds and it barely hurt!  He did such a great job! I got my nostril pierced at King City Tattoo yesterday. Their shop was clean, and thoughtfully decorated and their staff was friendly, professional and efficient. They were flexible on methods of payment and had a detailed contract for each costumer to sign before their procedure was done. I really appreciated all of the helpful information it contained. Simon did my piercing. He was approachable, helpful, friendly assertive and clear about everything. The process in the piercing room seemed to coincide with everything I read as far as sterility goes. He had to do the process of the piercing and the insertion of the nose ring twice - which was painful, and although I don't know for certain (because I am a total novice at piercings), I didn't get the sense that it was his fault. I think it had something to do with the thickness of my nose cartilage, as he noted. The only thing I would have liked to have known ahead of time is that there was not a selection of nose jewelry to choose from - just one style and gauge of stud. This place is super great! I got my nose pierced here and the piercer was super friendly and he made it totally quick and painless. This is the best place ever!!!! Very clean and very sweet looking on the inside! Trinity is the best artist I have ever seen. I have a foot tattoo that covers the majority of the top of my foot and Russ did the entire job. It took me two sessions because for me it was slightly painful. My tattoo is gorgeous! I have received so many compliments on it from guys and girls asking where I had it done. Russ listened to what I wanted and helped design my tattoo and gave me lots of ideas. Went on the spur of the moment but was able to see reviews online before I made the trip to the shop. After read ing the positive reviews online, I decided to take a chance and go to the shop without an appointment. Rick agreed to do my tattoo on short notice. He took great care in getting the exact placement on my wrist. He even suggested doing my tattoo in color rather than in black. Rick is a nice guy and did a fantastic job. So like most sixteen year olds,. I wanted a piercing. I called every tattoo studio and King City was the most helpful, even while just talking on the phone. I was going to get a nose and cartilage piercing. I was a minor and they were the only place that told me about the consent forms. Trinity, one of their amazing tattoo artists, told me where to find it exactally, what I needed, the cost, everything I could have possibly wanted to know. They were the cheapest by about 20 bucks on everything. I went into the studio, immediatley impressed with cleanliness and presentation (the tattoo artists association, or the main organization, has guidlines for what to look for in a clean tattoo studio. They compleated every one. Simon, the piercer was put the day that I can in. But he stopped by, planning on staying for maybe ten minutes for something not tattoo or piercing related, and offered to do mine since I was there. Very nice :) he told me all about the piercing, aftercare, hiding it, cleaning it, and told me the cheapest basic way to clean and care for it. No high proced specialty products :) just the basic soaps at walmart. My piercings were both done so painlessly, it was easy, relaxed and felt like getting blood drawn. Not bad at all. Simon took the time to explain to me the simple steps to it and explained when I wanted more info. He didnt treat me like a costomer, he treated me like a person. My mom came in the next day to get her nose pierced. Effortlessly and totally worth it :) I later went in to try to think up tattoo ideas. Trinity was about to close but stayed and helped me and my mom figure out what we wanted. He also said that because I was interested in becoming a tattoo artist he would tell me where to go, what steps to take. He said he would reveiw my portfolio and help me figure out what the next step is. Very, VERY nice there!! If your looking for the best Tattoo experience, Then King city is the place , I have been Tattooed in nearly all the shops around here and Trinity at King city is by far the best .I got a full color custom half sleeve so have spent some time there , All the Artists and owners have treated me with a family type welcome .While being worked on I watched Artist Little M and piercer Simon do equally good work and everyone was happy with their work.Trinity Himself is the most skilled & detailed artist Ive met and i will go nowhere else in the future .I felt like i got 100% value and a killer piece of artwork.Dont waste time and disappointment going anywhere else. I took my 17 year old daughter in to have her nose pierced and I have to say as a mother the FIRST thing I noticed was HOW clean the shop was!!! I have never been into a tattoo shop that was as classy as King City. SECONDLY Simon is simply put.....THE BEST!!!
