Just walked out of this shop and my daughter is in tears. The woman who called herself the owner, Holly, I believe, was so shitty. We drove all the way from Meriden to ask Jerod do her first tattoo. She was very excited and knew exactly what she wanted. As I was trying to explain what my daughter wanted and when we could make an appointment she became agitated because I was the one speaking, not my daughter. My daughter is very shy and suffers from anxiety, she has extreme difficulty talking to new people, but Holly was insisting that my daughter speak. I tried to explain, but she went batshit on us for no reason and literally kicked us out of her shop. I was shocked that she lost her shit and was so irrational over something so small. Her behavior was weird an erratic. Maybe there's something wrong with her, maybe she hates Mexicans or maybe she's just a bitch, either way, I wouldn't recommend this tattoo shop to anyone. If you don't know how to deal with people from all backgrounds who aren't just like you, maybe you shouldn't be in business! I hate you for how you made my daughter feel, you have no idea how hard it was for her to even walk in there. Basically, you suck giant salty donkey nuts.

Holly & Jarod have such a wonderful business with Standard Electric. The atmosphere is very welcoming and relaxing and they made my experience feel like I was truly valued as a customer. Both of their art styles are intriguing and timeless; I always get tons of compliments on the piece Holly did for me. Their professionalism and cleanliness was very noticeably a top priority as well. I would recommend their shop to anyone and everyone!

Absolutely wonderful! Holly was very kind and informative. I asked about a walk in appointment and she was able to fit me in and did such a wonderful job. I had a picture of what I wanted and she suggested a few ideas and she made it look 10x better than the picture itself. I also drove 2 hours just to go there.

Jarod did my tattoo about 2 moths ago and I could not be happier ! I am constantly getting compliments and find my self gazing at it everyday because I still cannot believe that it is mine! I will definitely be going back to get another in a few months or so! The atmosphere of this place is absolute stellar! Both Jarod and Holly are the most down to earth people and had me cracking up the whole time I was in the chair !

I started going to Jarod when he lived in Wichita. Now that he has his own shop in Lawrence, I still make the choice to travel the 2.5 hours to get tattooed by him. The shop is beautiful and has a warm feel. Jarod's bedside manner is unmatched. I feel confident bringing any of my ideas to him. I haven't had the pleasure of being tattooed by Holly, but her skills are growing tremendously at a fast rate. I'll never get tattooed at another shop.

I've been going to Standard Electric Tattoo since the day they opened. Inside is VERY clean and nicely decorated. The owners are amazing, and very welcoming. I've gotten quite a few tattoos from Jarod and Holly, and will continue to do so. Their work is outstanding and definitely worth every cent spent! Trust me, you won't be disappointed!!!!

Just walked out of this shop and my daughter is in tears. The woman who called herself the owner, Holly, I believe, was so shitty. We drove all the way from Meriden to ask Jerod do her first tattoo. She was very excited and knew exactly what she wanted. As I was trying to explain what my daughter wanted and when we could make an appointment she became agitated because I was the one speaking, not my daughter. I started going to Jarod when he lived in Wichita. Now that he has his own shop in Lawrence, I still make the choice to travel the 2.5 hours to get tattooed by him. The shop is beautiful and has a warm feel. Jarod's bedside manner is unmatched. I feel confident bringing any of my ideas to him. I haven't had the pleasure of being tattooed by Holly, but her skills are growing tremendously at a fast rate. I'll never get tattooed at another shop.
