Today I went to get my nose pierced and I had a great experience. Izzy was extremely professional and he made sure I was comfortable and that I knew everything to do when the piercing was taking place. After the piercing he gave me the run down on how to clean it, when to clean it, and what to clean it with, how long I need to keep the stud in and when I can change it. During the process he helped me stay calm and made sure I was good afterwards. $45 seemed like a lot, especially to not include the aftercare, but this included the fee and the jewelry, whereas other shops may charge for the aftercare and fee, but not the jewelry. I haven't even got the tattoo yet and I'm already impressed with this place! We came out at 11pm for a tattoo consultation for my hubby. We were greeted by Nick and Twiggy - both very friendly and professional. They talked with my husband about what he was wanting (this would be his first tattoo) and gave him some info and ideas. After talking with Twiggy, I scheduled some time with him next week to cover up a piece on my back. It all started with a Spiced Chai latte from Smokey Row and a napkin with a quote... and then a tattoo from Union Station West. Shout out to my favorite cousin Jamie Ross for coming with me. �. Twiggy at Union Station is absolutely amazing, he was able to match my moms handwriting perfectly. The tattoo says: "Tasks left undone must stay that way I wish I could have stayed another day to laugh, to love, to work and play. Love, Mom" Now for the meaning: This tattoo is price...less and it's my favorite piece. When I saw it I was overwhelmed with the absolute beautiful penmanship. Twiggy was able to bring back to life a piece of my mother that was taken away from me 12 years ago. This morning I'm speechless as I literally feel my mother with me, I haven't cried this much since the day she left. The quote is actually part of a poem from her funeral and those three lines to me summed up her life. "Tasks left undone must stay that way", there's so many things in my life that aren't complete without my mother, so they must stay that way. "I wish I could've stayed another day to laugh, to love, to work and play." After two years of fighting lung cancer that has spread up to your brain, you're really tired, I know if she could've fought any longer she would've. My mom loved her job as an RN, that was her calling. She loved with the most unconditional love that I still feel today and sometimes if I'm lucky enough and focus on a memory, I can hear her laugh. � So there's the complete meaning to the tattoo, I'm beyond please with this work of art and can't believe the letters of my mother that I've been reading lately are now on my skin. Tonight my cousin wanted a very meaningful tattoo and another artist had to cancel on him last minute. He was so disappointed. He lost his mom when he was only 7 years old and he had finally decided on what he wanted in honor of her and he had his heart set on it being done today. We walked into Union Station West hoping that they had time. Thankfully one of the artists did and I have to say, Twiggy knocked it out of the park! He was able to mimic his mothers had writing to a T! So much so that when my cousin looked at just the template, he started to tear up! I love this place! I get all my piercings done here and one of my tattoos so far. Anthony does all my piercings and is the best! I have have gotten 5 piercings and each one has turned out amazing! Nick did a small flower on my ear. At first I didn't like the sketch but he went back and changed it to exactly what I wanted. It was quick, clean, and easy. I always get great service too. One of the better experiences I've had with a piercing place! I came in for a daith piercing and had a migraine that day to top it all off. Anthony helped me - He was super kind and gentle. I was impressed by how clean everything was and Anthony definitely took his time. Warned me and everything. Very well worth it. I love how relaxed the atmosphere was as well.
