So, I am not really sure where to start. I went into this shop yesterday to get a quote done that I had picked out over a year ago. it said "inhale confidence exhale doubt" I was just working on loosing some weight before I had it done. I had it placed on the right side of my lower rib cage. Honestly, I could not be more bummed out. I am super dissapointed with how it turned out. It is just sloppy and not at all what I had expected. When I was at the shop, and was finished, I looked in the mirror. The light was low, and then i was looking at it backwards, so it was hard to get a good look at it. I did notice that the "h" in inhale was off, but I figured I would wait until it healed to see if it was going to need some attention. (I have 3 other tattoos from elsewhere and from experience, they look better when healed.) So I paid the shop and left. I had taken a picture so I could see it the correct way, instead of backwards in the mirror, and was really shocked with what I saw. It doesn't line up at all with original picture. The "inhale confidence" is completely off and just not clean. The "h" and "a" in inhale run together, the "h" is just awful, worse than I originally thought, the "f" in confidence is goofed up, as well as the "n" and the "c." I am beyond upset that I will most likely being getting a coverup somewhere else, or possibly just having it removed all together. I am not sure I will be able to get myself to get another tattoo once this one is dealt with, but I do know that this is not going to be a place I would reccommend. I have now officially learned the hard way that you get what you pay for. I would definitely urge anyone to just spend the extra money from the start and go somewhere well reputable, because it definitely isn't going to be a cheap fix if you hate it.

Greg does stunning work and takes his time to make it 120% a masterpiece that’ll you’ll love. Very pleased every time I go there. Which will be going on 5 times now. Highly recommended!

I did however leave with some adorable new pieces of jewelry for my existing piercings! Greg was super informational about explaining exactly why the piercing wouldn't be right for me. Barb & the front desk gal were super patient helping me decide what jewelry I wanted to go with and Barb even put them in for me �

I went in to get my nipples pierced and I was able to get in right away. Nicole Welsh was so professional and nice. She made sure I was happy with the placement before starting the piercing and after that it all happened so quick that the pain ended up being minimal. Even after having time to heal they still look amazing and I would gladly go back to her for more piercings! <3 Thank you so much Nicole!

Greg Howell was extremely helpful in designing the tattoo I wanted!!! Nicole Welsh did a fantastic job on my many piercings and I definitely will be going back for more!!! Great place for tattoos or piercings👍👍

My experiance with Dubuque Tattoo Club was excellent. I have tried a few other tattoo places and after going to Dubuque Tattoo Club I refuse to go anywhere else. Where do I start.. 1st my tattoo experiance. Greg is excellent to work with. He really took the time to learn and understand what I wanted out of my tattoos and how important it was to me. My tattoo look amazing and I cherish the work Greg did and plan to continue to go to him for my next tattoos 2nd my piercing exp...eriance. I haven't had good experiences with my piercings due to them closing and such so I was very skeptical at getting another piercing but thanks to Nicole for making this most recent piercing a great experiance I now have a piercing that I love and hope to have for a long time. Nicole was more than patient and explained everything before the process and during the process. I have never met a person who does piercings that shows each and every client such professionalism and enthusiasm. Both Greg and Nicole definitly show that it is not about quantity but quality. From piercings to tattoos Greg is a one of a kind artist it's worth the trip to check him out people if you are getting tattooed or pierced else where you are definitely missing out. I just got my second tattoo at Dubuque Tattoo Club. The first time was an awesome experience and the reason why I went back unfortunately the artist I had previously was no longer there so I went with the next available artist. Worst idea ever. Although I was in and out in less than an hour it was the worst experience. She hardly said a word to me and when I attempted to make small talk, it was a quick response and would start talking to the other artists there. Basically ignoring me and putting most of her attention on others than on my tattoo. My tattoo turned out pretty good (it's only a few hours old so good so far) but she didn't seem too interested in wanting to know what I wanted for the design or how I was doing while getting it Terrible experience. Definitely won't go back to her, probably not even Dubuque Tattoo Club.

I come here for all my tattoos. The staff is super friendly and makes you feel welcome into their shop, not to mention they watch hilarious shows and movies. I usually go to Suzy. She's awesome. I can't handle pain that well and she didn't make me feel uncomfortable about it. If anything she was quick and did everything she could to make it easier on me. I'll never go anywhere else.

I went to Dubuque tattoo about an hour before closing without an appointment. They had several clients already, but Alec and Suzy completely worked with me to get me in, even though it meant staying after closing. They were super chill, and it being my first tattoo I had extra appreciation for that. The shop is spotless, super clean and neat but still has a lot of character. Suzy did my tattoo, she was so cool. She made me feel totally comfortable and was really talkative, which was a nice distraction. She was patient with me and answered all my questions. If I ever get any more tattoos I will definitely be going back to her!
