I've been going to Ace for almost a decade now. His work has always been consistent. Solid line work and great color. He can also do black and white equally well. His prices are on par with most tattoo shops in the area. And he's just an all around decent guy, which I appreciate since it seems like it's easy to find arrogant people in the tattoo industry. Definitely recommend, especially if looking for something American traditional in style.

Buyer beware. So I booked an appointment with Ace two months in advance from out of state and had a bit of a schedule change close to day of appointment. When I went to shop to see if I could possibly get in the day before or after he was booked, but the most amazing thing was he didn't have me on the books at all and then realized he double booked my slot. When I asked if he could refund my deposit he said no. Really? Even though you double booked? Okay can I leave deposit and book another appointment for a later date? Only if it's in 2 weeks. I'm from the East Coast. I did my research and I was very excited to get a tattoo from AW at YDT. This just doesn't seem like a very good business model. I get that artists are busy and have tight schedules but traveling all that way to find I had no appointment after writing artist and leaving deposit on PayPal seems shady. Hope the person who is getting inked now during my time slot is having a better experience than I did.

Veronica did a huge coverup for me on my rib cage. She was easy to talk to, kind, detail oriented and very patient (with my low pain tolerance). The shop is well kept and clean. I felt comfortable during each session. Each staff member interacted with me at all four of my sessions. Great customer service and I would strongly recommend you checking their artists out.

I can't describe how impressed I am with YDD Tattoo! I went in for my first tattoo that was in memory of someone close to me that passed away. Dan was so patient and informative. He made it easy for me to talk to him and explain what I wanted. He replicated the tattoo that my loved one had from a crappy picture. We also worked together to make it look a little more unique. The detail and quality of the work he put into it amazed me. He brought to life what I imagined in my head.

Well I have 1 tattoo and yes it was a 3 in the morning tattoo I got from a friend who had not gotten his certification yet in Hot Springs, Arkansas! The things you do after playing a show! But it was free and fun, and I kinda have falling in love with my bad tattoo of Iowa with ASH in the middle of it.. But I have always wanted another real tattoo experience! One where I was not drunk, and I could actually see and feel what was going on! I got it yesterday! I went to see Ace at Yankee Doodle Dandy! I have known Ace for years and I have seen his work on so many of my pals, that I had to go to him! It was a spontaneous appointment, early in the day and we were the only one's in the shop! So we listened to some Doom Slow Metal and got my design figured out! Ace then made a stencil by hand drawing the design I chose! He had mad drawing skills and it looked perfect! He made sure I was ready to roll and we got going! Now being sober this time I was wondering how bad it was going to hurt and it didn't really hurt at all! Ace made sure I was good after the first little bit and kept checking in on me as we went! The tattoo was done before I knew it and it looked fabulous! He gave me some tips on how to take care of it best and away I went! A very happy Camper! As for the shop, it's super clean, and very comfortable! Not only did I get a great tattoo, but I had a blast, and dug hanging with Ace for the afternoon! Fun place, good prices, and a great life time memory!

My friend and I were walk-in appointments and our service was excellent and we love our tattoos. For the most part, I feel like tattoo artists care very little about walk-in appointments, but Greg worked with us to design exactly what we wanted and he made us feel completely at ease. Hands down one of the best tattoo experiences I've ever had.

Great tattoo shop. Artists Ace and Dan are welcoming and will help you make the right choice for your tattoo. Both are experienced artists and are very professional. Clean shop and good atmosphere. I have been to this shop many times and have referred a lot of my friends. I would suggest if this is your first or tenth tattoo, Yankee Doodle Dande is the place to go!They can facilitate walk- ins, but if you want any big pieces done then definitely call and make an appointment.

I've been going to Ace for almost a decade now. His work has always been consistent. Solid line work and great color. He can also do black and white equally well. His prices are on par with most tattoo shops in the area. And he's just an all around decent guy, which I appreciate since it seems like it's easy to find arrogant people in the tattoo industry. Definitely recommend, especially if looking for something American traditional in style.

I can't describe how impressed I am with YDD Tattoo! I went in for my first tattoo that was in memory of someone close to me that passed away. Dan was so patient and informative.
