I've had 2 nipple piercings and my first tattoo done at this place. Pros: it's spotless. Even the restroom is super clean. The artists know what they're doing and want you to be happy with the work they're putting on you. I saw Craig and told him I wanted a "chubby, happy unicorn". He didn't get the image I had in my head, but he got something even better. It was a perfect fusion of his wild work and my request. Jay the piercer was piercing a sensitive part of me and did so with stout professionalism. He answered all questions I had and even gave me a lollipop! "Con": these guys are pros and it seems like they forget what it's like to be a new client so it can be intimidating. I like how business-like it was though. I'd definitely recommend this place for piercings, cartoonish tattoos, and American Traditional tattoos. I have been to this tattoo parlor quote a few times my spouse also has. The only reason why we went twice is because I wanted my tattoos to look like they had been done by the same artist. They were both done by Aaron Roberts and so were my spouses 2 tattoos. The first tattoo I wanted he talked me out of the design. My spouses first tattoo from Aaron was fine. The second time I contacted Aaron he seemed very annoyed. He didn't like the fact that I only wanted to do 1 session (the tattoo was colored. 3 inches long and 3 inches wide) I told him Ithere was no other day I'd be available to get the work done so it had to be done that day. When he did the tattoo he barely spoke to me. I apologized for making him do the entire tattoo that day and he said "It is what it is." Then silence. He had somewhat of an attitude when I would try to break the awkward silence. The same experience happened with my spouses second tattoo by Aaron. Then when I contacted him after my second tattoo had healed (so he could touch it up) I had sent him a picture with the email. You could clearly see the splotches in the color and where the black had bled out in the outline. When he responded he again acted as if he was annoyed and claimed that he didn't see anything wrong with the tattoo. I will never go to this parlor again, worst experience ever. Sad thing is, I just started getting tattoos and these were my first, I would have gone to Aaron for all of my tattoos if he wouldn't have been so rude to us. The tattoo work was nice, not great, and he way over charged us. He charged me $420 for 4 hours, during which he walked out of the room and into the lobby for 35 minutes and charged me for that time. When another man had come in, got a larger tattoo than I, the tattoo was colored, and he was done in 2 and a half hours. He came in the parlor after me and left before me too. one of the worst experiences I've ever had! Hell, Aaron even SLOWED DOWN after he had done the outline. He asked if we were doing it in 1 session after he finished the outline even after I told him in our emails I wanted it done in 1 session!! So I feel that he deliberately slowed down to make the time drag out. Read Less

absolutely loved it, way more than the first place i went to (Metamorphosis in Broad Ripple). very friendly workers who knew what they were doing. they took time out of their day to talk to us more about their tattoos and piercings if we wanted more. reasonable prices for great tattoos. i got two wrist tattoos and my friends got some piercings. they said the instructions given by the worker made their ear piercing not as painful. also said that if my friends came back for new earrings they would be hooked up with new ones. Told my husband to pick an artist for his tattoo he wanted then the same artist who told him that gets shitty and said they wouldn't do his tattoo because it was a custom tattoo because he doesn't like to give anything but custom tattoos all while giving someone a tattoo that has been seen on a bunch of people before. The service I have been given here is everything I could ask for. I happily have been pierced two times, both with excellent results. With terrible customer service and a piercing horror story from Lucky Rabbit, I will recommend Black Sword over LR any day, and already do to all of my friends.
