2018 Ink & Pink Tour - my cousin and I were in Indy for the Pink concert and decided to get a tattoo in memory of our Grandma D. I contacted Beau Guenin based on Yelp reviews of the shop and his portfolio of animal designs. It was a pleasure working with him he designed exactly what we had in mind based on Grandma's signature and her love of bumblebees. Beau was fun to work with, very professional, and fast!!! I went to Masterwork Tattoo last weekend for my first tattoo. The whole experience exceeded my expectations. I had emailed Jacob a week before my appointment with ideas of what I wanted. When I showed up, he sketched out a design that made the tattoo unique. I was impressed! Since it was my first time, he told me what to expect and even paused to let me lay down while he finished it. I'd recommend their shop to anyone. The place was clean, bright, and they had several artists in on a Saturday ready for appointments and walk-ins. I had Jacob do a half-sleeve cover-up over an older outline I had done years back.  I showed him some pictures of what kind of things I was interested in, but basically gave him free rein to draw something up.  The tattoo is better than any of the pictures I gave him as inspiration, and I couldn't be happier with the final outcome.  I definitely plan on coming back for more work in the future. Today I went to Masterwork for my very first tattoo and let's just say that my expectations were completely blown out of the water. I didn't have an appointment and they were able to get me in right away! The shop is located upstairs in this cozy, warm and welcoming space. This being my first tattoo and my first time in a tattoo shop, I was really nervous. Naturally, I also had a thousand questions about getting my first tattoo. The guys that helped me, answered each one of my questions and didn't make me feel stupid or like an annoying newbie haha. Jacob is the guy who ended up doing my tattoo and can I just say WOW. Jacob is an amazing artist and he was able to draw what I envisioned for my tattoo on the spot. After the tattoo was finished, Jacob explained to me exactly how to take care of it and the best way for my body to heal my new tattoo. I feel like I've heard so many horror stories from my friends of other tattoo shops being super rude and extremely unprofessional. THIS WAS DEFINITELY NOT ONE OF THOSE SHOPS.
