This is the best place to get tattoos in Indy. I've been getting tattoos from Megan since 2014 and I will not go to anyone else. She's super professional and incredible at creating the tattoo that you envisioned in your head. The shop is very clean and all of the artists are excellent at their craft. It is a little more expensive, but worth it every time. You pay more for high quality, and that's the kind of art you'll find here.

Did some research on tattoo places in Indy close to the hotel that we would be staying& found Grand Union Tattoo & had an awesome experience! Immediately when I walked in all of the tattoo artists works are on display & they all have such great work. I decided to go with Megan and she did an amazing job and when I'm back in Indy I'm definitely going to stop by again. She was so nice and squeezed me before her longer appointment. Clean work, painless & friendly atmosphere! And they have the cutest Dachshund running around :)

My fiance and I embarked on our journey of getting our first tattoos. We each had two different styles in mind but that was solved when we saw the work of Megan. All of our conversations were through Instagram so it was easy to reference her work and other artist's whose vision were similar to what we wanted. Tattoo Appointment was set. We arrived at our time. The shop was a very chill environment. Whoever created the playlist for that day needs to put it on Spotify or Apple Music because it had a little of everything! It was seriously amazing. I felt bad because during my tattoo I'd start to get into a song during the middle of conversation with Megan. She did a great job explaining the process of tattooing and care/upkeep as we were both new to tattoos. Our tattoos are still healing as our appoint was 4/1 but everyone that has seen them so far has loved her work. The lines are so clean, shading is on point, and the concept couldn't have been better executed!Grand Union is cash only so come ready but there is an ATM in the shop.Thank you Megan for making our first Tattoo Experience so great!

I got my first tattoo here! It was one of the cheaper tattoo parlors around downtown Indy. I got a very small tattoo for my first one and the minimum was $60 which was pretty expensive but that was the norm for most parlors. The place was really cool and all of the workers had lots of tattoos so I felt I was in the right environment. They allow walk ins and I got my tattoo within 15 minutes. My design was very simple and I never felt judged for my selected location or the design. They didn't ask for a reason for the tattoo which was nice. They made my first experience very comfortable and nice!

I can't say enough good things about Grand Union. I was looking for a female artist for a while and randomly came across Megan on Instagram and started following her. Being new to Indy I thought why not message her, and I am so glad I did. I have had two pieces done by Megan and already have my next appointment. She does incredible work, I get more compliments on her pieces! I would highly recommend Grand Union, everyone who works there is incredible, great vibes great shop.

My experience with Grand Union was nothing short of perfection. Not only is the shop clean and tidy, but it is filled with wonderful people who really care about the art of tattooing, and take it very seriously.
When I came in Aldo - who personally did my tattoo - was finishing with another client. She had just gotten a large, beautiful tattoo on her elbow. He said it took about 2 hours. And then I came in asking for a tiny, simple cactus... but to my thrill and surprise he interacted with me just as he had her. He put as much detail and care into my small tattoo as he had her larger, more complicated one. The level of professionalism is out-of-control in this place.
Only downside is that they only take cash. Thankfully they have an ATM in their shop, but if you’re wanting to save a couple bucks, make sure to come with a wad of $20s!

He had one artist in mind but Ben was available and he did an excellent job. Very happy with his work. If we had more time and I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my current tattoo I would have Ben do it - with no doubts. If you have IG look up Ben McQueen very impressive work. Very clean tattoo shop and reasonable prices. Highly recommend.

Amazing experience at this shop! Received my 7th tattoo here and they exceeded expectations. All of the artists have crisp clean style and a great deal of professional experience. Scheduling was easy with my artist (Aldo Rodriguez) and he was very flexible. A great perk to this shop is that the artists have notoriety, and with this comes some great guest artists from other states!
Edit: I have also been tattooed by Luke Wolf Jr. twice since posting this review. Luke is an amazing artist and is willing to tailor his design to your desired placement. Luke's style is also very unique (almost like a vintage traditional) and he manages to use a very light hand while tattooing.

Grand Union Tattoo is absolutely incredible. I have had plenty of friends try and sell me on their favorite locations, but the name that kept coming back up was "Grand Union! Grand Union". Here you will be comfortable and can enjoy your experience. The location is extremely well kept, and the atmosphere is very fitting. Between the crashing rock music humming in the background, countless creations of designs hanging on the walls, and the unforgettable parlor aroma - I was SET and ready for my tattoo.I had my own design, which Aldo perfectly recreated and inked. He is very talented, respectful - always making sure I was comfortable, and a great price!! Overall, I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a tattoo.

I wanted a tattoo honoring my mini dachshund who passed away four years ago, and my go-to gal was booked for over a month. Grand Union came recommended to me by a dear friend whose boyfriend has been tattooed by Aldo. He happened to have an opening yesterday, so I nabbed it. On the phone, I told Aldo I wanted to do just an outline on my arm and also sent two photos of her for inspiration. Aldo drew two sketches of her, and I teared up when I saw the second sketch. He nailed it. I was a tad indecisive on where I wanted to put it on my arm, and Aldo was really chill as I went back and forth. When I finally made my decision on the placement, he had me tattooed and out in about 10 minutes with a meaningful piece I'll cherish forever. I am not only appreciative of Aldo's talent but also his patience and laid-back demeanor. I'd recommend him to anyone for sure.(PS: My outline was $80. Grand Union only takes cash, and there is an ATM inside the shop.)

This review is long overdue so I apologize for waiting to give these guys the 5 stars they deserve! My girlfriend and I came into the shop on a whim, hoping to get something done that day. Our artist was Luke. He was very knowledgeable, and let us know what would work best using the ideas we gave him. He got us both in same day and gave us both amazing tattoos. I originally was just looking to add to an existing piece but Luke was able to add what I wanted AND rework the old piece to what is now an absolutely beautiful and vibrant piece of art that I get complimented on daily. Can't wait to come see him for my next addition. The entire shop is very clean, staff is friendly and honest about their work. I even witnessed another staff member tell someone he may not be the right artist for a piece they requested, which I think deserves respect because some guys out therewould just take your money and tattoo you even if they aren't comfortable or experienced with the kind of art you want. Grand Union is an EXCELLENT choice for your next tattoo, hands down.

The shop is really clean; everyone was super nice and made me feel welcome. It is a cash only shop, but there is an ATM inside. Parking is a little annoying if you have to feed the meter during your session, but do not let that stop you from getting an amazing piece of art!! Highly recommend Grand Union Tattoo.

This is the spot I have gotten my last four tattoos - thanks to Ben McQueen. This isn't a spot you are going to feel awkward walking in for your first tattoo. It's a chill vibe with professional artist doing some crazy talented work. All the ink on my tattoos still look vibrant and clean, and didn't have any issue with the design process of my pieces. The last one i got, i just told him to, "do what you want i know I'll like it." When people talk about getting their first tattoo, i tell them to check out Grand Union to see if it's their vibe. Can't wait to schedule my next appointment so I can check out their expanded space.

Amazing experience at this shop! Received my 7th tattoo here and they exceeded expectations. All of the artists have crisp clean style and a great deal of professional experience. Scheduling was easy with my artist (Aldo Rodriguez) and he was very flexible. A great perk to this shop is that the artists have notoriety, and with this comes some great guest artists from other states!
Edit: I have also been tattooed by Luke Wolf Jr. twice since posting this review. Luke is an amazing artist and is willing to tailor his design to your desired placement. Luke's style is also very unique (almost like a vintage traditional) and he manages to use a very light hand while tattooing.

Grand Union Tattoo is absolutely incredible. I have had plenty of friends try and sell me on their favorite locations, but the name that kept coming back up was "Grand Union! Grand Union". Here you will be comfortable and can enjoy your experience. The location is extremely well kept, and the atmosphere is very fitting. Between the crashing rock music humming in the background, countless creations of designs hanging on the walls, and the unforgettable parlor aroma - I was SET and ready for my tattoo.I had my own design, which Aldo perfectly recreated and inked. He is very talented, respectful - always making sure I was comfortable, and a great price!! Overall, I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a tattoo.

I wanted a tattoo honoring my mini dachshund who passed away four years ago, and my go-to gal was booked for over a month. Grand Union came recommended to me by a dear friend whose boyfriend has been tattooed by Aldo. He happened to have an opening yesterday, so I nabbed it. On the phone, I told Aldo I wanted to do just an outline on my arm and also sent two photos of her for inspiration. Aldo drew two sketches of her, and I teared up when I saw the second sketch. He nailed it. I was a tad indecisive on where I wanted to put it on my arm, and Aldo was really chill as I went back and forth. When I finally made my decision on the placement, he had me tattooed and out in about 10 minutes with a meaningful piece I'll cherish forever. I am not only appreciative of Aldo's talent but also his patience and laid-back demeanor. I'd recommend him to anyone for sure.(PS: My outline was $80. Grand Union only takes cash, and there is an ATM inside the shop.)

This review is long overdue so I apologize for waiting to give these guys the 5 stars they deserve! My girlfriend and I came into the shop on a whim, hoping to get something done that day. Our artist was Luke. He was very knowledgeable, and let us know what would work best using the ideas we gave him. He got us both in same day and gave us both amazing tattoos. I originally was just looking to add to an existing piece but Luke was able to add what I wanted AND rework the old piece to what is now an absolutely beautiful and vibrant piece of art that I get complimented on daily. Can't wait to come see him for my next addition. The entire shop is very clean, staff is friendly and honest about their work. I even witnessed another staff member tell someone he may not be the right artist for a piece they requested, which I think deserves respect because some guys out therewould just take your money and tattoo you even if they aren't comfortable or experienced with the kind of art you want. Grand Union is an EXCELLENT choice for your next tattoo, hands down.

The shop is really clean; everyone was super nice and made me feel welcome. It is a cash only shop, but there is an ATM inside. Parking is a little annoying if you have to feed the meter during your session, but do not let that stop you from getting an amazing piece of art!! Highly recommend Grand Union Tattoo.

This is the spot I have gotten my last four tattoos - thanks to Ben McQueen. This isn't a spot you are going to feel awkward walking in for your first tattoo. It's a chill vibe with professional artist doing some crazy talented work. All the ink on my tattoos still look vibrant and clean, and didn't have any issue with the design process of my pieces. The last one i got, i just told him to, "do what you want i know I'll like it." When people talk about getting their first tattoo, i tell them to check out Grand Union to see if it's their vibe. Can't wait to schedule my next appointment so I can check out their expanded space.
