My 5 yo daughter had her heart set on getting her ears pierced. I knew right away that a tatoo and piercing location would be much better in reference to a good clean piercing. Piercing via the gun traumatizes the ear too much. I first emailed about services and received a very prompt, informative and kind email. Upon arrival the inside was very clean and staff were welcoming. The gentleman who did the ear lobe piercing was very kind, informative and patient with her. He went at her speed and was very clear about what he was doing so there were no surprises for her. After building rapport with her and getting both ears done he clearly described care needed for next 6-8 weeks to ensure a healthy and healed ear lobe piercing. I knew Turtle from another shop previously so tracked him down to do my teenage daughters' piercings. I knew the experience with Turtle would be fantastic and he didn't disappoint. He took his time and engaged my girls while doing their piercings. He went over after care and was very knowledgeable. The girls loved him and the 6 piercings he did all look amazing! The shop itself is very nice and bright with a TV showing tattoos that have been done, charging stations for patron's phones, seating for several clients and private tattoo areas. My daughter, grand daughter, daughter in law and I had a "girl's " dinner and decided, spur of the moment to get tattoos. We googled and as luck would have it, Body Language Tattoo popped up and had excellent reviews. There were four of us and it was near their closing, but they greeted us warmly, and proceeded to provide amazing designs for our ideas. Two of us were inked by Zi and two by Mr. Bill. They did exceptional work and we were all pleased. But truly the tattoos wer...e a small part of it. The friendliness and cheerful ambiance was pleasant. I have gotten two tattoos from Body Language Tattoo and Matt did one and Mr. Bill did the other. One scheduled by appointment, and the other by a walk in. Both are clean and exceed my expectations. The artists were very friendly, welcoming, and professional. I always recommend this place to others. I also like that they carry Tattoo Goo (cream) for purchase. I decided last minute that I was going to go that day to get my lip re pierced, at that time of night my options were limited on where I could go, this is one of those times I was so thankful I found Body Language. As I said, I got my lip re pierced, I went in and was welcomed by Turtle, I explained to him what I wanted and that I had it done before, I was able to sit and talk about my previous experience with that particular piercing, he listened and he spent so much time l...ining it up just right. I was amazed with how much time he spent with me to make sure we got this just right. When it came down to the actual piercing. I didn't feel a thing. Also, the first time I got It pierced it was so painful with the healing process. I had so many issues. (I got it done somewhere else). This time, I had maybe 2 days of swelling, no bruising, and very minimal pain. By far the best piercing experience I've had. I want to start off by saying if you're looking to get a tattoo, look no further. I've been to a few tattoo shops around the Indianapolis (and Houston, TX) area and this shop is by far the best I've ever encountered. I've had a bad experience with my last two tattoo artists (hence why I no longer go to either) so I was really hesitant to go and get any more work done. I googled tattoo shops in the area and read every review. This shop has the best reviews and I completely understand. The whole staff is incredibly friendly and genuine. You can tell that the love their jobs and they enjoy people. They've really left a great impression on me and I'll be recommending them to anyone and everyone. Best piercing experience I've ever had (this is my 8th piercing). Would have given this review more stars if I could. Stopped in to get my septum and my sister's belly button done- Turtle was fantastic. He's very personable and patient and makes the experience as comfortable as possible by explaining every step of the process. Even after I fucked up my own piercing (tip: don't pull away from your piercer), he was super chill and understanding. By far the best experience ever. Went in to get my tongue pierced and soon as I walked in I was greeted by a friendly young lady. Didn't get her name but she was incredibly nice and informed me that she was apprenticing as a piercer and that the owner would be in shortly if I was willing to wait. Of course I did. The wait was comfortable and short and I happened to make some small talk with 2 lovely ladies getting tattooed. I was asked if I'd like any refreshments while I waited but declined but really appreciated being tended to. Once Tom ,owner and piercer, arrived he was quick to attend to me and was very friendly. This was a learning experience for the young lady and I also as Tom explained what to look for and how to do the piercing. After literally like 1 minute if my tongue being out the piercing was done and I barely felt anything. Great shop!!! I have been to several shops in the Indianapolis area and I have to say that Body Language Tattoo is by far my favorite, and my go to shop from now on. The first thing you notice when you enter is the bright, clean shop itself. So many other shops seem to try and create a dark dungeon-like atmosphere, Body Language is the complete opposite.
