i recently went here to get a tattoo and i was surprised the place was as clean as it was, usually places like this are not so clean and you can just feel the filth in the atmosphere, and its not a very good first impression , but the guy named Tommy that greeted me was professional and knew his stuff (so to speak) i got my tattoo and the whole experience was almost a good one ...almost ...not sure of the guys name but all the tatoos all over his face and head and the bad attitude almost caused me to leave altogether, my thing is when you go into a BUSINESS regardless of what type it is, you expect a certain amount of courtesy and respect to be given to you as the customer, apparently this guy was sick the day they had that meeting, so other than his presence in this business i would say it was a great experience and i would recommend these guys for any tattoos you may want or need, and they also price pretty well ...thanks tommy Read Less

Me and 2 friends stopped in on 3/2/2017 to get some body piercing done. Maria was excellent and made quick work of a very painful piercing. She is the only female piercer and is there thurs and Saturdays right now. While the place was clean and well kept I felt everyone could have been a bit more professional, even in this industry. Micky just did a dermal piercing in my cherry blossom tattoo. Now, let me start by saying I have been putting off getting this done (even though I had planned on doing it right from the beginning of planning the tattoo). I was so nervous that I would get an inexperienced piercer or someone who just didn't care enough to do it right. Maria told me that Micky was the man for the job. I went in for a cover-up tattoo last month and talked to Corey B. He said he could perform the cover-up with no problems. I expressed my concerns with the amount of white ink he was using because I thought it would turn yellow, but he assured me it wouldn't. He was also very heavy handed. A month and a half later, I have several areas of scar tissue and guess what?... my tattoo is turning yellow. I'm sure that he has had tattoos to turn out good, but with so many talented tattoo artists and shops available, why risk it? The owners offered to go over the tattoo again, but it would be darker. They stated several times that every artist in their shop is technically a sub-contractor and they are not responsible for them. They also support their entire argument with the possibility of improper aftercare. This is my 17th tattoo and I've NEVER had these problems before. Read Less

I have had 2 of my 5 tats done at the W. Washington Street one. The first one I had done was amazing and I really loved the artist. The second time I went, the previous artist I had moved to the Avon one. I was with a group of people and we decided to stay at the washington street one. The artist I had was awful. He was rude and very antisocial. When he did mine, he pushed way to hard on my chest, was digging the needle in, and was just very rude. I had told him what I wanted done and he had to ask me when he was in the middle of doing my tattoo if he could add color, which I had already said I wanted before he started. The North location is the best! Their space is private. They like what they do and they are friendly. No hassles. Forget the Noblesville location. Completely different set of rules. Don't follow posted business hours. (Open until 10:00pm but when you arrive at 8:45pm you will be told winter hours are until 9:00pm and they need more than 15 minutes to pierce your ear). I have received a tattoo @ the south side location in the past. While not overly impressed with the service, the work itself was good enough that when getting my second tattoo, I went to the same name if not the same location. We were ignored for about 20 minutes by the staff. When someone did speak to us, he was dismissive and had little information regarding the pricing or artists availability. While I understand the fluid nature of the business, the first rule that should be followed in any situation where you are providing a service dependent on your reputation, is to at least offer information if you cannot meet the customer expectations. We were told no appts were made over weekends, and to arrive at open to receive first come/first service the following day. We arrived before the door opened only to see several staff members arrive late, then told they were 'all booked up with appts' and to come back several hours later to 'see if anyone would be available'. No offer of an appt, no explanation as to why other appts were made when service is 'first come/first serve', nothing except sitting and waiting for other artists to arrive, then ignore us. Needless to say, we left. I will not offer my money to those who are not willing to earn it by treating me with the respect any customer deserves. I found another shop willing to work with us at half the quoted price and infinite more courtesy and service. I would suggest to anyone looking for a good experience go elsewhere, and to find an artist willing to spend time working with you on a piece you will be wearing for the rest of your life. Body art should be respected, and be a positive experience for YOU and not viewed as an inconvience by your artist. Don't let yourself feel as if you are being held hostage by artists and studios such as this that are being crushed by thier own egos and couldn't care less about your individual experience. I just came back from getting a tattoo here after reading about the police badge tattoo. Man, these guys are GOOD!! I walked in with no appointment and they took me right in. I told them what I wanted and they drew it right in front of me. I've got 4 tattoos and this is the best one I've ever seen because of the detail and the tattoo cost me less than the one I got 3 years ago!! Monte and Casey are the best there. I ran into a bind because I had gone to another shop to have them design a tattoo for my husband?s birthday. The other tattoo shop took my money, but never delivered on a design. :( A friend told me about this place and I went and it was AMAZING!! The work they did on my husband?s tattoo is phenomenal!! It looks like someone stuck a police badge on his skin. He got two police badges and a flag tattooed on his arm. It?s freaky how real it looks. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this shop!!!!!!! Casey also does work on some very famous people. Ask him, he will tell you. :) Their walls are covered in awards for their work and the place was VERY clean.
