One of the worst experiences I have ever had. Mike does very sloppy and rushed work. It is so bad that I am paying a top-notch artist at a better shop to fix all the work Mike did on me. I would rather pay another artist to fix the work then get my “FREE” touch-up from Mike. What a waste of over $400 dollars. What a joke! Do yourself a favor and get a tattoo from a different artist. I have worked with Jeinx (Jessica) twice and she was so great to work with and made my experience amazing! The two sketches had great detail based on what I was wanting. My favorite thing about Jess is just her ability to make you feel so confident and exciting during the entire experience with her great personality. She has come so far and has done great work on my BF and bff take a look at her portfolio! P.s. the other artists do fantastic work too, but I've only worked with Jess so far! I've been to many tattoo places over the years, and ever since going to Shea Rutherford at SOTA, I don't know if I'll ever go anywhere else. He really helped to take my concept and turn it into a masterpiece. The quality of the work is amazing, and I receive complements on the work almost daily.Plus the studio is very clean, and the staff is friendly. They even have a cute little shop dog to visit with :)Definitely give this place a chance...it's one of the most underrated shops in the Fort. Read Less

The girl I saw was very sweet and did what I asked. My issue was that we set an appointment for Wednesday, July 5th on July 1st or 2nd. We arrived at 1 pm, the appointed time, and the shop was closed. I know it's the day after the 4th but there was no post on their website or Facebook that they would be opening early. Their posted hours on facebook, their website, and their door said they opened at 11 am. I called the artist and she was late, which I get, everyone sleeps through their alarm sometimes. But she didn't even know the shop was opening late. So we had to wait until 1:30 just to get into the shop. Despite the 4 days she had to prepare, she had no sketch prepped so we ended up getting started at 3. We finished 1.5 hrs later and that's fine, the girl was an apprentice. In the end her work was good but the overall professionalism of the whole shop was lacking. Side note: this is the longest time it's taken for a tattoo to ever heal and the color is bleeding. Possibly one of the most unprofessional atmospheres I've ever been in. A "bad experience" would be an understatement. Some of the artists do decent work, but I would be impressed if some of the other artists could spell their own last name. The shop owner is an absolute joke. I got a piece of a letter written from my Great Grandma tattooed on my side by Mike Stow and he did great!! It was my first tattoo and I was extremely nervous but he took great care of me and the first thing I thought when I was done: "I would totally do this again" - definitely here, too. My sister and I wanted to get tattoos to honor our Daddy who passed away in January, bits of things he wrote in his own handwriting. As if providence, she met Shea and we were tattooed last night. These pieces are small and simple, but we wanted them to be perfectly his, and Shea did that for us with such care and respect.
